A few days later
Frowning I watch Alecto stalk around the class room giving her lesson on muggle studies "muggles have impressive inventions but you have to remember, they are mostly blinded by hate if you are different or like us having magic, they will shun you or try to use you, very few can accept magic".
Hearing a few Gryffindors muttering I roll my eyes "to this day they tell stories of witches being killed, of Animagus and how to kill them, they tell these to their children" she adds ignoring them.
"Inventions do not mean they are intelligent, many are ignorant they would rather us dead then try to understand us"
Hearing a muggle born girl start arguing I snarl slapping the table before waving my hand taking her voice "shut up, in all the years you've been here not once have you tried to learn our culture but expected us to understand yours, muggle borns have pushed our traditions out while forcing theirs on us" I hiss keeping my voice at a calm volume.
"Your very magic makes this your world yet you have abused and mistreated the gift, just because you grew up muggle does not mean you have the right to do that, in the home land you could be cursed to be unable to access your magic, in the old days someone would do it to keep you from disrespecting magic" Emma adds in a mocking voice.
"Girls enough" Alecto snaps glaring at us.
Grumbling I slump in my seat propping my head on my hand while watching her "now who can tell me something that has been ignored that is an important thing in our history?" She asks.
Raising my hand she nods pointing to me "magical signatures and blessings".
Alecto nods as the words appear on the board "good, now can anyone tell me what a magical signature is?"
Looking around I roll my eyes seeing no one lift their hand till a first year Gryffindor that's been being pushed up in grades raises their hand getting called on.
"It's exactly what the name hints, but instead of your name it's something unique to that person and anyone with enough training could identify someone by the feel, taste, or smell of their magic. If someone is extremely skilled they could use all three to pin point exactly who it is without a thought"
Sometime later
Feeling myself grabbed as I try to slip out in the crowd I groan looking back seeing Sev frown at me "and where do you think you're sneaking off too" he asks in his typical bored tone.
Huffing I go limp seeing my sisters held by Hooch and Amycus "with my friends" I mutter.
"Do you think I'd risk you taking anymore trips or you three trying to take over the school again" he asks mockingly.
"Git" I mutter glaring at him.
He hums while dragging me along to wherever with my sisters being brought by the others "now you three have some work to do, Lily you will be repairing the grounds where you decided being a dragon was a brilliant idea for a fight, Emma you will be helping fix the library since you destroyed it, and Hermione you will be helping Alecto grade since you think you can take trips".
My eyes widen looking at Emma "you did what to the books" I demand glaring at her.
Going to jump on her Sev grabs me keeping me in place "you have no one but yourself to blame, you left them unsupervised knowing they act without thought" he grunts.
Eventually I give up while glaring at Emma hiding behind Amycus and Hooch while using Lily as a final shield.
Being pushed back into the class room I huff glaring at the closed door "Hermione, come" Alecto orders standing in front of her desk with her hands clasped in front of her stomach.
Following her to the back room I raise my brow seeing Jamila sat at a desk with her arms crossed and a foot propped on the desk "Princess" she greets nodding her head in a bow.
Groaning I look at the wall "what did you do this time?"
"I was found in Hooch's place with someone" she answers looking at her nails.
"You got caught seducing someone?"
"No, was caught in the bed with Daphne"
Rolling my eyes I sit down by her "I didn't make it past heavy kissing, I don't know if she'll give me another chance now" she adds.
Scoffing I nod taking the papers Alecto sits in front of us "enough talk girls, do your work".
