Chapter 8
A few weeks later
Sitting in the Great Hall I eat while ignoring my house mates excited whispering about how everything looks in response to Halloween.
Rolling my eyes I gather what I need mostly nuts and berries before gathering a few items of food on another plate, standing up I walk out going out of the castle completely.
Making my way to the Forbidden Forest I smile hearing my sisters coming after me.
Finding a clear area we all quickly Transfigure a shrine before placing what we grabbed and sit on the ground as Lily carefully starts a fire between us.
Emma smiles pulling a bottle of meade from her pocket "It's not as much as we normally do with Aunt Ingrid and I had to pay someone extra to sell it to me" she says shrugging while filling the cups I Transfigured for us before she places the last cup on the shrine.
Sitting there we all slowly eat and talk before hearing someone coming and glance to the sound, I raise my brows seeing McGonagall sitting in front of us in her Animagus form.
"Hello Professor" Lily says calmly "You're welcome to join us for Samhain, we'd appreciate it if you did and gave an offering" she adds motioning to the shrine.
McGonagall changes back looking at us for a moment before quickly leaving after a few minutes she comes back with a pumpkin placing it near the shrine before sitting down with us.
Smiling I Transfigure her a plate and cup before we all give some of our food to her as Emma fills her cup.
"I've never celebrated this before but I know a few customs" she says softly.
Lily smiles nodding her head "We can tell you more about it but please put your wand away no violence or fighting can happen".
Next morning
Hearing hoof beats I groan rolling over not wanting to wake up but look at who ever woke me up.
Looking up I see the Centaurs looking at us "Hi" I mumble getting up "Did we come into your territory?" I ask yawning.
"No" one of them says while circling around us.
"It is time to return to the castle, will you be back out here for anymore of these?" He asks.
"Yes if we can get out, I hope we didn't disrupt your celebration or night with ours"
"You did not" he says before motioning to my sisters and McGonagall "gather your clan and return young foal" he says.
Nodding I bow at the waist pressing my hand to my chest "Thank you Sir" I say before getting them up and leading them out.
Walking back to the castle I laugh seeing everyone's shock at us coming in covered in dirt with leafs in our hair from where we fell asleep on the ground.
Lily grunts heading for the Great Hall ignoring everyone walking around while grabbing coffees.
Glancing around I see it's empty of everyone but us and Dumbledore who glares at us.
"Where did you three go last night?" He demands glaring at Lily.
"The forest to celebrate Samhain" I answer knowing Lily's temper is worse without at least three cups of coffee.
"Students are not allowed in the forest"
"Without reason and a Professor to monitor them" I say shrugging "We asked Professor McGonagall to take us so we could celebrate Samhain" I add.
He frowns looking at her "The rules clearly say that all religious customs must be accommodated, they celebrate pagan holidays, I helped ensure their needs were met" she says.
"We had a troll in the School, Ms. Brown, Mr. Potter and Weasley fought it"
"Are they injured?" She asks frowning.
"No, they managed to survive the encounter"
"Good"
"You should have been here for them" he adds stroking his beard.
"As a professor of Hogwarts I must encourage all students and help them, since I was helping three students from sunset to sun rise I was unaware of the troll"
"GET OUT OF MY HEAD YOU INTRUSIVE OLD BASTARD" Lily yells throwing an empty cup while glaring at Dumbledore.
I see her eyes glow as he stumbled back flinching while Lily growls "WE KNOW HOW TO TELL WHEN SOMEONE IS IN OUR MINDS, I HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE DAMN TROLL OR YOUR GOLDEN BOY BEING IN DANGER, SO LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE YOU MIND RAPING MANIPULATIVE OLD BASTARD"
Emma laughs looking at him "Hurts doesn't it, our minds view everything through dragon eyes, something human eyes can't handle best part is our minds are linked you have to view multiple points at once and it's a two way street, if you enter ours we automatically invade your's and can learn every secret or fear in just a few seconds".
Lily smirks leaning towards him "Killed a girl because he believed she was in the way of the greater good, to control the wizarding world then he wanted the muggles world too" Lily coos.
