Chapter 3
Maeglin was currently escaping from gondolin and is currently not being noticed. It has been a doozy since apparently they were going to do an intervention? (Wtf)
And maeglin wasn't going to be dealing with that bullshit. Maeglin, so far, has reached Nan elmoth and was going through the dark forest. The trees remember him singing to him. Many would find the forest of Nan elmoth to be gloomy or foreboding. But to maeglin it was a breath of fresh air. Many of the forests are new compared to this one , and they are more likely to trust than this forest.
This forest will kill, seeing how there are orcs pierced to the trees. The forest has the most poisoness plants, and animals are more present since the forest protects them. But it doesn't mean that there are no predators.
Maeglin walks to his old home, which is now an overgrown tree. Whoever stayed is now buried within the tree. The tree feeding off it corpse and growing to be its tomb.
Maeglin looks around to see some skeletons of the once alive avari elves that were killed by the forest.
Maeglin sees some swords and borrowed them(stealing them). Since he didn't want them to go to waste since they are in good condition. And to far enough place with clean water, he sets his camp since he will soon go into the den of lions.
He has seen orc parties ride across the area, so he has a general idea and plan. He decided not to reveal his identity (which sucks). But he could not have morgoth know who it is that sends him the memories of where Noone even the Valar could go or imagine in his dreams. And he did so that morgoth can not escape the dream only maeglin can let him go. Which delights maeglin so much when he feels morgoth fear and anxiety in his sleep.
But he soon falls asleep in his magical tent, taking delight as he sends memories and memories to morgoth.
