Different Versions (Laurel x Natasha)

Natasha wandered down the hall absently sipping at the green juice Tony had provided. She rounded the corner and popped into a small medical room with the lights dimmed.

"Want to tell me what happened here?" she asked.

Laurel's head shot up and here eyes widened when she saw the redhead in the doorway, "Well…see-" she then cut herself off with a wince as the doctor rotated her wrist.

Natasha's eyebrow quirked up and she smothered a smirk. She pushed off the doorway and sauntered closer to the gurney that held the black-haired witch.

"She gonna be alright?" Natasha asked the doctor.

"I'm fine," Laurel jumped in, but Natasha ignored her and just continued to stare at the man that was wrapping the wrist.

"She'll be fine. Distal radius fracture. We reduced it and now we're casting. Cast will stay on for four to six weeks."

"Thanks, Rios."

He gave a short nod, "Give the cast about half an hour to set and then you're good to go," Rios said and then he leaned closer to Laurel and whispered, "Good luck," before her left the pair alone in the room.

"You were saying?"

Laurel shifted on the gurney before she started, "Well…

"Was that Clint?!" Natasha's called out when the pained grunt crackled in their earpieces. Laurel looked over to where the archer had once stood and saw that he had collapsed to the ground.

"I got him!" Laurel replied and with a twist she disappeared and reappeared at Clint's side to kneel on the ice-covered ground, "Clint's been hit," she groaned as she put pressure on the archer's side.

"I'm going to evac Clint back to Quinjet," said Laurel.

Just as she finished speaking, she looked up and saw and group of five soldiers approaching with their weapons raised.

"Don't worry buddy, I got it," she said reassuringly to the man that was still groaning in pain.

She readied her wand and prepared to defend her fallen friend.

"Protego!" she yelled as the bullets started to fly. She grit her teeth to keep the magic active as the bullets ricochet off the shield.

As soon as the bullets stopped, Laurel dropped the magic that had protected the two and yelled, "Bombarda Maxima!"

The bright red wave soared through the air and pushed the soldiers through the air. Laurel grinned as they all collided in a bloody heap.

… and then I grabbed Clint and apparated closer to the Quinjet and helped him aboard to safety."

Natahsa nodded with a pensive look on her face, "That doesn't really explain the broken arm though," she pointed out.

"Must have happened during the fighting. I was just so focused on helping out Clint I didn't even notice the pain."

"I see…because Clint had another story. One that maybe explains this better," Natasha said with a point towards the cast.

"He was delirious in pain."

"Uh huh. Because he said…

"Was that Clint?!" Natasha's called out when the pained grunt crackled in their earpieces. Laurel looked over to where the archer had once stood and saw that he had collapsed to the ground.

"I got him!" Laurel replied and with a twist she disappeared and reappeared at Clint's side. She somehow ended up a couple inches from the ground and when she dropped, she unluckily hit a patch of ice and her feet slipped out from beneath her.

Laurel fell hard on the ice-covered ground and groaned in pain, "Clint's been hit," she said as she tried to mask the pain that shot up her arm.

"Don't worry, I've got you," Laurel said as she crawled to sit beside the archer. She wrapped her arm around Clint's shoulder and then apparated closer to the Quinjet. Once they were nearby Laurel grabbed her wand and levitated Clint onto the jet and then settled into the seat beside him.

…and then you proceeded to whine about the pain."

Laurel could not look Natasha in the eyes and kept her gaze constantly roaming around the room, a blush staining her cheeks.

"I mean. That's one way to look at it."

Natasha rolled her eyes but pulled the witch into a tight hug, "Either way, I'm glad you're okay."
