Chapter 1
Regulus black should have known better then to trust his ass of a brother when he recommended that their life was starting to get too boring and they should do something adventurous.
They both had a very successful bakery chain in London, but money had never been an issue since they had come from a very wealthy family and had got all the inheritance.
So they decided to take a break from the bakery life, trusting that the workers will be able to take care of it and ended up taking a trip to Thailand.
The trip seemed to be going pretty well, he wasn't so sure about this trip as he couldn't swim to save his life, but the life jacket seemed pretty promising so he went along with it.
Today they were at a beach in Pattaya. Regulus was happily sunbathing there, but of course his brother had to come by and disturb his peace.
'Common, we are going on that Banana boat ride' Sirius said. 'No, we are not' he replied, 'and why is it shaped like that'? 'Well it is called BANANA boat ride for a reason isn't it. Anyways I already paid the guy so it's not like you have a choice'.
'Uhhh can't you go alone on that brother? Anyways what do you even do on that thing?' 'Well he basically ties that banana thingy to his jet and takes you in the sea for a ride, and when returning he basically flips the boat so you fall in to the water' Sirius explained.
'Sirius, you know I can't swim right'. 'yeah well but he does give you a life jacket, and he only turns the boat once we have returned to shallow waters, so I am sure you will be fine'.
He hesitantly agreed, only because Sirius had already paid the money and he absolutely hated wasting money like that.
The boat ride was going fine until the flip part. His overexcited brother decided hat he was going to dunk in the water before the guy on the jet ski flipped them. So inevitably when the guy did actually flip the boat he ended up dropping on Sirius, who had just started to resurface on the water.
Sirius broke out of the water gasping for air' WHY the actual fuck did you just drop on me, I could have literally died right now'. The sheer amount of audacity in this man was beyond him. ' Bitch you literally jumped in like before the guy could even turn the boat, like doesn't that technically defeat the entire purpose of this ride anyways?'
In their stay at the beach, Sirius managed to force him to join him on like 3 different rides including a sofa ride? Which was basically like the banana ride but instead of a giant inflated banana, this time there was a whole ass inflated couch. Honestly everything in Thailand just amassed him at this point.
The main issue started on the next day, when they decided to go on river rafting. Everything was going fine until he woke up the next day in their hotel bedroom with intense pain in his lower back.
Honestly he couldn't really think of anything that could have caused this pain, It was not like he had fallen or anything so why.
Sirius was still asleep, so he pulled out his phone and looked up stretches for your lower back in hopes they would help, they didn't. The pain was still there. today was also their last day in Thailand, so they had just decided to sleep in as the flight hours would be long.
Eventually Sirius did wake up so regulus had sent him to buy some pain killers for him. Sirius had also come in with a 'tiger balm' which the guy at the pharmacy had told hime would cure any of his pain.
'The reason I'm in pain is your fault', regulus told his brother as he took the pain killer. 'How is it even my fault' Sirius asked. 'I don't know how, but I just know it is your fault'.
It had been 15 days since that and his back pain was still there, and he simply couldn't understand why.
Sirius obviously believed that his pain had completely healed but it simply hadn't. not until regulus decided to drop the bond that his back was still in excruciating pain and he had been taking pain killers in hope that the pain would simply disappear.
'You decided to hide this information from me for what good reason' Sirius asked. 'Well I simply assumed that it would heal on its own but since the pain is still there I guess it's not'.
'Well I guess I could take you to James, given that he is a physiotherapist, I'm sure he will be able to tell what's wrong with you' Sirius told him. ' One thing I don't understand is that James is your closest friend, and yet out of all the friends I have met, why have I never met him?'
' Hmm I dunno' sirius vaguely answered before turning to go in his room.
Interesting, regulus thought as he picked up Sirius's phone that he had forgotten and unlocked with his Face ID.
They didn't really know each others passwords but they looked alike enough for the Face ID to confuse them as the same person. I mean of course they looked alike, he remembered once asking his cousins wether he looked more alike to his moms side or to his dads side. they had laughed at him and that is when he had figured out that it wasn't a family tree, it was a whole ass family circle. Honestly he would probably be less traumatised than he already is if he had never found out that their parents were second cousins.
Back to the point, he scrolled through Sirius's photos until his eyes landed on a brown skinned guy, who was definitely a couple inches taller than his brother, and he suddenly understood why his brother had never introduced him to this guy. He looked exactly what regulus's time was.
He couldn't believe his brother had been gatekeeping this fine specimen of a man from him. Well guess it is never too late.
