Chapter 1
It’s been a while since that idiot thought that betraying Remus to his greatest enemy was a very nice and funny prank.
Luckily, the other Marauders were on Remus’ side or he’d probably thrown himself off of a cliff.
Sirius couldn’t even stay with the Potters this summer, and he came back covered in bruises. Somehow, Remus didn’t even feel bad for him. After all, Remus looked three times worse every month and Sirius still thought it was a nice joke to pull on Snivelus.
Well, obvious that wanting Remus dead has brought people together.
“You seem angry” that annoying yet so lovely voice said to Remus.
“Yeah, and when you say I seem angry I get more angry”
“Oh please Moons, just move on, no one likes a mad man”
“Pads, that’s not helping. Besides, you made him like this” James said, enabling Remus to go away and let James fix this.
But of course, Sirius ‘can’t keep his nose out of Remus’ business’ Black had to follow him behind all the way to the astronomy tower.
---
“How can everyone just move on from this? Why does it have to keep hurting me?” Remus said to Lily, his best friend.
“You feel betrayed. You trusted him”
“With my life, yes”
“And as long as that trust isn’t back, you won’t move on. You’ve got to learn how to trust Sirius again”
“Lils, could you… could you please talk to Sirius for me? I’m scared he’s gonna be mad at me…”
“Are we talking about the same Sirius? You know, the Sirius that melts everytime he sees you playing with your hair?”
“And the Sirius that told Snape my biggest secret”
“And the Sirius that sends you chocolate every day ever since that stupid prank. But alright, I’ll talk to him”
---
“Lils, Remus is right. I shouldn’t have done that, I don’t deserve him, I don’t deserve him, I never did deserve him” Sirius cried to Lily.
Lily was the only one who’d listen, after all. Everyone else just got mad at him.
“Sirius, who you are is not what you did. Don’t forget, everyone of us has messed up too”
“He’s never gonna forgive me, is he? It’s just too late”
“Sirius, it’s Remus. His mind changes like the weather. He asked me to talk to you. He misses you, even though he tries to hide it in that kind of way only he can”
“I’ll… I’ll talk to him, okay? In the next few days, I’ll talk to him”
“Great!”
“Oh and Lily… Thank you… for, you know, listening. No one else did”
---
“Remus, I’m sorry. And I know I said that before and I know that I’ll have to say it a lot more times before you believe me but I’m sorry for that prank and I’m sorry for being a bad boyfriend and I’m sorry for being this wa-” Sirius couldn’t even finish his sentence before Remus cut him off, kissing him for the first time in weeks.
“I know you’re sorry. And I’m still mad at you, and I’ll be mad at you for a very long time, but that doesn’t change the fact that I love you and I wanna try and… you know, forgive you? I’ll need some time, though”
“Take the time you need, Moons. I’ll be waiting”
