It was girls night, for the first time in four months their calendars lined up so- it is now girls night. Lily is laid on the floor her head in Mary's lap who is putting small braids into her hair, Pandora is smiling softly at them handing over some flowers she picked on the way to the dorm to thread through Lily's hair and Marlene in in Dorcas' lap who looks more than content to listen to her babble about her new guitar. Emmeline is currently on door duty to make sure none of the teachers or boys try to get in and spoil the fun.
"Do you know what me and Cas found out literally an hour ago?" Pandora asks Lily her tone a mix of disbelief and disgust. Lily nods and Mary lightly slaps her forehead, "I said stop moving god woman," she jokes lightly and Dorcas looks over. Marlene stops babbling for a bit and Emmeline looks over to know as well. Pandora sits up straighter, "Barty is shagging my brother." Everyone reacts all at one, "OHHHH-" Marlene says loudly and Dorcas pulls a face, "You didn't have to word it like that," they say as Lily fake gags and Emmeline nods seemingly unbothered. Dorcas speaks up, "No because while that might be gross I found out something better," they say and Pandora raises an eyebrow in challenge. "Hey Lils notice Potter hasn't been following you like a lost puppy?" Dorcas says playfully and everyone gathers around in a circle.
"Okay gays you know the drill everyone its gossip session," Mary declares and everyone sits up straight and looks from one to the other, "Since Pandora has just been we shall go in a clockwise direction to the next person." Everyone agrees and sits quietly waiting for Dorcas to speak, "Potter and Black 2 are together." They can't even finish the sentence fully before everyone is cheering and laughing. Emmeline glares at Pandora and hands over two galleons to the Ravenclaw who smirks and puts them in her pocket, "told you," she says in a sing song voice and Lily looks to Dorcas.
"How do we know thats true?" she asks with a smirk and Dorcas smiles widely. They pull two pictures out their pocket, "Proof." Everyone picks up the picture of Regulus curled into James who is holding the younger boy to his chest. The other picture is Regulus smiling and James kissing his cheek, "Regulus can smile!?" Marlene shouts loudly and everyone dissolves into laughter once more.
Its Emmeline next who cracks her knuckles, "Sirius and Remus got back together." Lily groans loudly and Mary pats her back in sympathy as Marlene holds her hand out to Lily. Lily hands her a few coins before they're stashed away in her pocket. "I actually can't believe them," Lily says annoyed and they all nod. "Boys are stupid," Emmeline declares firmly and the girls all agree. Marlene's go next and thats always a rabbet hole.
"some Hufflepuff has started shagging this Ravenclaw and he has a girlfriend who is shagging the same person but neither of them know about it and they keep doing it apparently only hours after each other and the Ravenclaw has asked them for a threesome and they both acted like they never cheated-" Marlene talks about this for maybe half an hour before Pandora gets up, "I'm going to go make some tea for us," she says softly and they all nod along happy to have some.
Mary smirks slightly when it gets to her turn and everyone leans forward. Mary always gets the best gossip from anyone and Dorcas doesn't know how she does it. Eventually they all run out of gossip and go quiet again, "What now?" Emmeline asks and Pandora smiles, "Blood magic?" she suggests and they all contemplate it for a few minutes. Lily perks up at the idea, "A book that only opens to our finger print, blood or spit?" The girls all past smirks and nod Lily smiles and gets out a note book.
It takes an hour before they realise they have no idea how to do this and get up, "Okay Mary you'll be going with Lily to the restricted section of the library, Emma you go and distract the teachers and Dorcas you makeout with me in a closet until they're all done." Marlene says it with so much confidence they all start to laugh again. They spend the rest of the night toying with spells and trying out each others wands, Marlene plays her guitar and makes them all laugh when she plays twinkle twinkle to Dorcas to 'seduce them.'
