A night that no would forget....
The last trick or treater had just came by and it was about 10 pm
"Well, we better head out" Remus says as Sirius passes harry to lily. "Well all right safe travels!" James says as Sirius jumps into the floo. Once they had left James and lily started to clean up and harry was starting to get sleepy.
"Aww I think someone has to go to bed" Lily says as harry lets out a big yawn. James seems not to be paying attention though, it wasn't unusual now because of the war. But lily just wanted her happy and sunny James's back. "Are you all right?" lily asked softly.
"Hm?Oh yes just wondering why peter didn't show." James says. Everyone had thought it was odd that peter ha=d been showing up less and less. But he had promised them that he would come, she got that there was a war going on but to not to come when his best friend had asked him to was to far.
Lily reached over and gave James a long hug. "it will be alright"she said as she petted his hair."I'm sure he was just worried." lily says pulling away from the hug.
"I'm sure your right." James says. Suddenly there was a knock on the door."that's odd."James says as he walks towards the door and as lily hears the door open, James shouts and screams, "Take harry and run!" the amount of fear in his voice sends lily into a state of panic. She grabs harry and runs upstairs as quickly as she can.
She heard a scream and a loud thump, as she threw her hand over her mouth as not to scream and placed harry down in his crib. She heard walking up the stairs and as the walking got closer, she saw peter.
"No..." she whispered friend her husband's best friend had just betrayed them...
"But yes." peter says as he laughed .Suddenly Voldemort appred behind peter and lily let out a shirk. "well well well what do we have. here let's see if she will go as quick as dear James potter" Voldemort smirked and raised his wand.
Lilys last thoughts were about keeping harry safe...
