Raggy ah hat
Percy was astonished by the extravagance of the school.
He’s been to a lot of alternative schools on account of his demigod life.
They would lock in everything to make sure nobody stole. Unnecessary really, nine times out of 10 the people going to the school didn’t do anything. They were just victims of bad circumstances.
Like him. The past few years have been nothing but quest after quest. Which doesn’t fare well academically. Especially with his ADHD and dyslexia.
Percy hoped this would be different.
Finally, he got to his dorm, Gryffindor.
Percy thought about the raggedy brown hat.
“Hmm” the hat said in his head, “ interesting your fatal flaw is loyalty, a Gryffindor and Hufflepuff trait but although you didn’t choose this path Your bravery is unmatched. You have a sense of honor and are very bold, although you are also reckless and impertinent.”
Gee thanks Percy thought.
“But like a Hufflepuff, you have a strong sense of justice, unfortunately, you are not very patient and run into situations without thinking.”
Percy could feel the hat looking into his deepest, darkest thoughts and he yearned to take it off.
“That being said you are a Gryffindor,”
He already knew what the dorms look like unfortunately.
But he was introduced to the prefect. Ron.
Whatever the heck a prefect was (again spending most of his education in alternative, public schools he wasn’t used to nice stuff.)
Only Hazel and Jason were in the same house as him.
His girlfriend Annabeth was in Slytherin with Piper, and Frank was in Hufflepuff with Nico and Will, while Leo was in Ravenclaw.
Truthfully, he wished they were all in the same house so that they could watch each other's backs, especially since they had no idea what they were getting into.
“Hey, do you need anything?” Ron says clearly wanting to leave.
Percy shakes his head, “I’m okay man, where’s my friend I came in with?”
Ron shrugged and said, “He said he had to use the bathroom and left, in the meantime here’s how this works: there are 14 dorms with four beds in each; you're in a room with your friend, and 2 others.”
Ron sighed seeming annoyed then, continued,
“Explain that to him I’ve got to deal with a situation,” As he walked away Percy could hear him cursing out someone named Harry.
Jason walked back in the room paler than usual.
“Woah man, are you okay?”
Jason falls to his knees and says, “I- I don’t know what’s wrong,”
