Percy gets kidnapped… again
Percy wakes up in a bed with red and gold walls, and the most extravagant bed he's ever seen. He doesn't know how he got here, but it's a step up from the last time he woke up somewhere with no memory, at least there were no wolves. Focus, he says to himself. This makes no sense.
The last thing he remembers is falling asleep in his cabin. After spending the night with his girlfriend Annabeth.
To be honest, at this point, someone needs to get him a tracker because this is the second time in a year he's gone missing.
He reaches for one of his drachmas only to find they’re gone luckily his pen is still in his pocket
They weren’t experienced in demigod kidnapping as he still had his memories and his sword he was positive he would be back before dinner.
Plus he had a lot of school to catch up on on account of ironically getting kidnapped for nine months
Oh how wrong he was, nothing was that simple.
He draws his sword and prepares to open the door before someone beats him to it
It was a boy with red hair who looked about sixteen and a brunette girl who looked around the same age.
“Bloody hell mate how did you get a sword in here,” the redhead says flabbergasted, “ I thought weapons weren't allowed,”
“They’re not,” the girl with the books said, “In fact, there is a charm to alert if an uncleared weapon gets into the school.”
“He has special permission,” An aged woman with a black pointy hat and sharp blue eyes walked into the room while Percy was focused on getting his story straight. “It’s a family heirloom, isn’t it? Now thank you, Ms. Granger and Mr. Weasley I can take it from here,”
She led Percy into a room where some old dude with long white hair sat waiting for him.
“ Perseus Jackson, What a pleasure to meet you.” The man said, reaching to shake his hand.
The man had long white hair, kind eyes, and a warm smile.
Usually when someone looks unnaturally kind like him, they want something, specifically for Percy to do something for them.
Percy frowned and responded, “Okay old dude just cut to the chase. What do you want?”
The old man raised an eyebrow as Percy continued, “ I’m retired, so whatever it is, get someone else to deal with it. I just want one normal year.
The old man chuckled, “Oh dear Chiron wasn’t wrong about you, now Perseus-“
“It’s Percy, How do you know Chiron?” Percy interrupted placing a hand on his sword.
“Percy, nothing to worry about,” The old man continued, “My name is Dumbledore, Chiron and I are old friends, I came here with an opportunity for you,”
Dumbledore pulled out a stack of papers and with a flick of his stick thing, the papers flipped to the right page.
Percy stepped back for a moment and said, “Are you a magician like Carter? Because Egyptian magic is not my department.”
Dumbledore frowned, “ I take it Chiron didn’t tell you much,”
Percy shook his head, “ what else is new?”
Dumbledore smiled, “I had a feeling something like this might happen, so I created a pamphlet in ancient Greek, of course.”
Percy grabbed the pamphlet that said everything there is to know about witches and wizards.
“So,” Dumbledore continued, “ I noticed there’s a gap in your junior year that you need to fill before your senior year,”
Percy had to bite back, a sarcastic comment of course there he was missing for nine months then had to go on yet another deadly quest.
“ I have an offer, I know we are on the cusp of war, and I fear my students, are not well prepared,” He pulled out another pamphlet, “if you help discreetly train my students for the worst while also maintaining your grades I would be happy to meet that Junior year requirement,”
“Uhh-“ Percy started only to be interrupted by Dumbledore,“ I Understand this is a large task and a lot to take in so I recruited your friends to aid you.”
Percy wanted to scream in his face and tell him no, but unfortunately, he knew this was an opportunity he couldn’t pass up. More than anything he wanted to graduate with his girlfriend and be able to start their life in New Rome.
Percy sighed, “I’ll do it.”
