Chapter 1
James was the sun. Lily was sure of that. James was that one person who always gave everyone energy, James was that one person who was always shining. James was that one person Lily was lucky enough to call her husband, the father of her son, the love of her life.
Of course, in their teenage years James was a bully to Snape, but he deserved it. And of course, sometimes Lily wanted to throw a chair at that big head, but right now, when the first rays of sunlight reflected on his skin, when the soft breeze made his curls dance, she wanted to take this moment and keep it in a box, so that she could keep this forever and always.
Then, of course, the moment suddenly ended when their one year old son started crying. The little menace. James woke up and ran towards the nursery, running towards their son. He was the most caring father to have ever existed.
---
Halloween had always been Lily’s favorite holiday. And now was the first Halloween Harry was actually old enough to be dressed up in a costume. He ran around the living room, dressed like a pumpkin.
Peter would come around in a couple of minutes, turned out he came early. James went to open the door, left his wand on the couch, cause he of course trusted Peter with his life. It wasn’t Peter though.
“Lily, it’s Him! Take Harry and run, I’ll hold him off” James yelled at her. Lily picked Harry up and ran upstairs, but still heard James’ desperate “Please don’t blame Sirius”.
She tried to keep Voldemort out of the nursery she locked herself in, but she couldn’t. All hope was lost, she wasn’t gonna lose both Harry and James.
“Please, take me instead” she cried out.
“Avada Kedavra!” He said. And with that, it was over.
---
No.
Nononononono
This wasn’t happening.
He can’t be gone.
“Come one, James, come on, don’t leave me like this!” Sirius cried out to James.
His brother
His lovely, sweet, kind brother
His dead brother.
---
This was the last day James lived, after that he was in heaven.
This was the last day Lily lived, after that her soul took care of Harry.
This was the last day Sirius lived. After that, he just breathed.
