Chapter 16
Harry was red in the face and panting as Jasper sucked on his neck. Jasper wasn't biting him or eating his blood they were just progressing their relationship. Jasper's hands were under his shirt playing along his skin.
It was now early July and both Harry and Jasper were wanting more. Harry's health was improving drastically every day. He was actually going to start running as far as he could each day. Hermione had thought that it was a great idea and was going to join him which led Draco, Jacob, and Luna to join them as well.
Hermione and Edward were going on dates every now and then but both were still struggling with the fact that they were soulmates.
Jean-Claude came over often even though Carlisle had smoothed things out with the Master. He always seemed to want to be around Harry and Jasper. He had become a good friend to both of them.
Marcus and Richard came around a lot as well.
Richard was always flirting with Hermione after he'd made sure that she was legal. He'd been thrilled when she'd told him that she'd be 19 in September. She was deflecting his advances but it was clear that she was beginning to think that he was the better choice for her. Luna kept warning her against it.
Marcus for his part was coming to see Severus and Andromeda to learn about how wereanimals were treated in the U.K. He always listened to how Harry spoke about how he thought everyone should be treated the same . He loved that everyone supported his coalition idea but was actually beginning to understand that him wanting to be in charge as leader of all animal packs was not going to work. He was willing to learn and was trying to put everything into practice.
Harry had decided to open a cafe and Luna had decided to work the counter. They would be opening around his birthday.
Harry moaned and clung to Jasper.
"Jazz......"
Jasper's mouth was on his in seconds and they were kissing.
"Oh, I'm sorry."
They broke apart to see Jean-Claude standing in the doorway and Teddy peeking around his legs from behind. The two of them separated even though Harry didn't want to. Harry was instantly hugging and cooing over Teddy who was wearing his puppy pj costume. He walked out of the room and towards Teddy's room to tuck him in.
"You knew what we were doing in here." Jasper accused with no accusation in his voice.
"Qui." Jean-Claude agreed. "But Teddy wanted to say goodnight to his mama and last I checked Severus does not want you two moving so quickly. Harry is underage is he not?"
"Only until next month." Jasper informed.
"Oh, if I may when is Harry's birthday?" Jean-Claude wondered.
"July 31st. He'll be 18." Jasper answered.
"And when may I ask is your birthday?" Jean-Claude wondered.
"August 1st." Jasper said and was suddenly suspicious. "Why do you ask?"
"We are friends are we not?" Jean-Claude replied innocently. "I merely wish to know my friend's birthdays."
"Harry does not celebrate his birthday." Jasper informed. "He will not like you to make a fuss."
Harry entered the room again and was clinging to Jasper in seconds.
"Good evening, Jean." Harry said smiling at him. "Sorry, you had to see that."
"Oh, do not mind." Jean-Claude chuckled. "Ah, sorry, you have not been to Bella Morte's court. Displays like that were common as were public displays of sex. Now, you had a check-up today, please tell me the results."
They sat and had tea. They sat and enjoyed each other's company as they talked.
Harry hummed happily as he made food for his shop. They were going to advertise that they catered to humans, Wixen, Preternaturals, and vampires. Now that the Wixen World was known about they had released vampire food on the open market. Harry had opened stores just to sell the vampire food that they had made. They were still coming up with ideas but had workers to help now. With Draco helping him out all of his new business ventures were going well. Well, Draco and the Goblines.
"Mama!" Teddy called from his magical playpen as Harry stocked the displays. "Ducky potty." Teddy stood and did the potty dance. "Potty."
Harry instantly had Teddy in his arms and into the bathroom. Harry was thrilled when Teddy asked to be taught how to go potty in the big potty. He taught Teddy how and praised him. He then cleaned up after Teddy's duckling and gave Teddy a treat for wanting to potty train. He then called everyone to tell them that Teddy had asked to potty train and had used the potty. He was so proud of his little Teddy Bear.
Hermione pushed in front of Jacob who was rushing into the public bathroom on the first floor. She was holding Teddy in her hands. They had training potties in all the bathrooms so that Teddy could go whenever he wanted. Teddy was more content to inform them that he had to go and wait to be taken.
Jacob sighed and leaned against the door to wait.
Teddy was really good about going to the bathroom when he said that he had to.
Hermione opened the door a little later while Teddy was washing his hands.
"Sorry about that. He spent ten minutes looking for someone to take him to the bathroom so it was an emergency." she explained.
"Tank oo." Teddy said and ran off.
Jacob shook his head with a fond smile on his face.
"HARRY! ARE YOU HERE?!" Hermione called as she entered the cafe that Harry had bought in the district. Well, they'd turned it into a cafe. "HARRY!"
Harry came out of the kitchen with Jasper looking red and worked up.
"Oh, sorry, Harry." Hermione said as she pulled Draco into the cafe and Luna followed. "But I have a really important problem."
"I'll leave you to it then." Jasper said kissing Harry's lips gently.
Jasper left and Harry glared at Hermione showing how much she wanted to kill her. She softened up his mood by placing Teddy in his arms.
"I did something insanely stupid." Hermione told them as they sat down with frozen coffee drinks that Luna had made for them.
"That's usually Potter's thing but go ahead." Draco nodded.
"Well, I decided to go restore my parents' memories and Edward saw me packing and asked where I was going so I explained what was going on...." Hermione informed. "Then I asked if he wanted to come with and he said yes."
"No fair!" Harry pouted. "Jasper hasn't taken me out of the country. You're not even dating your soulmate and you're going out of the country with them and Jasper hasn't taken me out of the country...."
"This isn't a romantic get away." Hermione told him while rolling her eyes.
"It'll be fine." Luna told her. "Nothing untoward will happen. You'll just do a bit of bonding. Though, you'll have to make sure he eats a lot. There is another blood singer next door to your neighbors and he's not going to make the same mistake twice."
Harry didn't think he was much help in reassuring Hermione and neither was Draco but she seemed comforted by the fact that the three of them at least tried to reassure her. He was put out that he'd never been out of the country with the love of his life though. He wanted to go on a romantic getaway but he doubted that Severus would let them. He was of the thought that Severus was acting like a father towards him and he liked it but it was really getting on his nerves when it came to his love life.
He magically set up Teddy's magic playpen near the counter and put him and his duck in it to play. He began using magic along with Draco and Luna to help finish getting the store ready. They were almost ready for opening. They'd seen people looking in through the windows at them.
He was soon thinking about Hermione. She'd stuck around for three months and now she was going off somewhere? Carlisle and Esme had announced that they going off somewhere as well. Emmett and Rosalie had already left for France where they were going to have a child. That just left Harry, Draco, Luna, Jacob, Jasper, Andromeda, Severus, and Teddy in the house.
"You're moving out?" Harry asked blinking at Andromeda at dinner that night. "I will not allow you to take my Teddy-Bear from me, if you go then you go without him."
Andromeda actually laughed.
"Yes, dear, I'm going back to the U.K. for a bit then on to Rome. I'll come back once a month until my studies there are finished." she told him.
"I am opening my own shop and will be living there." Severus informed. "Draco will be studying under me so will be living there as well."
"Well, I'm not leaving." Luna said shaking her head.
"Same here." Jacob echoed her.
Harry's head was spinning. Everyone was leaving. They'd all sworn that they would keep in contact and come visit often. He didn't like that everyone was leaving him he didn't like it at all but he knew that he couldn't keep them with him forever. He had Jasper and Teddy. He'd be fine. He felt his emotions ease and blinked at Jasper who just smiled at him. He leaned against his boyfriend. Silently thanking him for helping. He was so lucky that he had a mate who could help him with his dreams and emotions.
