welcome back party regulus pov
Fuck his brother, just fuck him. fuck him for fucking up regulus first day. fuck him for probley making professor mcgonagall think he was like his brother.
Fuck professor mcgonagall for given him detetion, even tho it was very much all sirius fault. and now he had to have detention with all his brothers friends too.
Fuck everyone and everything.
“So what the punishment?” dorcas asked as she and pandora stood against the wall waiting for him.
“Detetion on saturday, 4 fucking hours” he said as they began walking.
“Oh that kinda harsh” pandora said “when on saturday?”
Regulus pulled out the paper that mcgonagall had given him, a small slip of paper that both him and sirius had been given. it said when and where they would be having detention. dorcas took it out his hand
“Oh wait i think barty has detention this time too, something about smoking in front of a teacher and then calling said teacher a asshole who he hoped would die of lung cancer”
And well regulus had no idea what to say to that. other then “seems like a barty thing to do”
The two girl nodded and let out sounds agreements. the three of them walked to the library, dorcas had told barty and evan to meet them there. they found the two boys in the back of the library the farest away from mrs.pinnes desk. wich again was just like them.
“Hello our dear friends. panda” barty nodded at pandora as she sat down “cas” dorcas just pushed some of evans things out the way “little star”
“No that one is even worse” regulus said as he sat down “just call me regulus”
“But i have nicknames fo-”
“For everyone you have said that already. but you just will have to not have one for me”
“I will not give up”
And for the next 20 minutes well they where all trying to get the homework done, barty keepet trying nicknames, and in the end regulus broke
"Okay okay, you can call me reg if you will just shut up” regulus said to barty who smirked at him
“Thanks, reg”
“And i already cant wait to spend 4 hours with you on saturday”
“Wait what do you mean”
“Regulus here got detention for having a screaming match with his brother in mcgonagall’s class” Dorcas said as she ruffled regulus hair. he just batted her hand away.
“OH how fun now i wont have to spend it alone” barty said smirking at him
“Yeah oh and bad news my brother and his band of idiots will be there too”
But to his surprise this did not make barty’s smirk fall from his face, it almost only grew.“Meaning potter will be there, he is always so fun to rile up”
“Yeah until he is booking the quidditch pits everytime he can, so that we cant practise” evan said and regulus feelt like that was something that had happened before.
“Still fun” barty said a smirk on his lips, that made evan roll his eyes.
They spent the rest of the time until dinner to do there homework. seeing as it was there 5th year (other the dorcas) and at the end of the year they would be taking there O.W.L.exsams the professor gave them a shit ton of homework.
Regulus had more then the others as he had to do some almost test like papers to prove that he was up to the level he was meant to be at.
Wich he was of course.
When dinner time came they all packed up there things, and made plans to meet after dinner at the lake party that some 7th years where holding. regulus didn't really want to go but his friends had already decided that he was going. and well regulus didn't really like odds, 1 vs 4, so guess he was going to a lake party.
After dinner pandora followed him to his dorm. none of his dorm mates where there so pandora grabbed him some clothes
“I have a few extra things for you in my dorm now come with me”
“Wait i thought boys couldn't get into the girls dorm”
“That is only if they aren't invited, wich you are. and it is a stupid rule”
She pulled him to her dorm, wich she had alone as there was 5 girls in ravenclaw there year, so one had to be alone. pandora didn't seem to mind tho, all her friend, before regulus, had been in slytherin.
Pandora had grabbed him a pair of loose dress pants and a black turtel neck. while he changed into the dress pants, pandora took his turtle neck and cut a little off the bottom
“Hey i like that one!?”
“Im making it better, im making it a crop top”
“I don-”
“You will thank me when everyone thinks your hot, now” she cut the neck of making it more of a shirt that would show his neck “put it on”
He put it on not liking that the shirt didn't go all the way down. it went against everything his parents had ever thought him.
But as pandora stood back and looked at him (she had found out him and her had the same shoes size and had given him some high sole converse to wear along with the extra jewelry that was black family things) he found that maybe he should try to wear this.
“You look……perfect!!” she said almost jumping up and down.
She herself was wearing a long white flowy skirt, with a pattern of pink and purple flowers, a crop top white crop top wich in pink letters read “Im not cool”. all her usual jewelry and under the croptop a mesh long sleeve crop top.
Even if he did not like girls, he thought pandora was very pretty.
“Now eyeliner time” she said
“NO NO NO”
But she was on him and had to now wear the eyeliner and the small starts she had drawn too on his cheeks.
They met up with the other at one of the back entrances.
“Woah reg if i was not fully into girls i would snog you”
“Thanks, i think?”
They began walking to the party. it was on the other side of the lake. a large bonfire and some drinks table was sat up.
Barty and evan came back with drinks for them all.
“We have a shot of firewhisky for everyone, and then a cup of this blueish thing for the ravenclaws and green for us slytherins” barty said as he handed them all a small glass of firewhiskey and then evan handed them a plastic cup of something.
They all downed the firewhiskey. it burned in regulus throat but somehow feelt kinda nice. He took to standing a little away from the fire but close enough not to freeze.
Even tho he had no idea what was in the cup, it made his head fell a little lighter. like for now he could just be regulus, a 5th year ravenclaw student at hogwarts. not regulus arcturus black, son on orion and walburga black, heir to the noble and most ancient house of black.
Barty came up to him with a cigarette “want a drag” he asked handing him the light cigarette. and now regulus had never smoked before but the alcohol in the cup made him feel like it could not be that bad. and sure he coughed a little but after a few drags his head started to feel even lighter like he was flying on clouds
and he was just himself, at a party with his friends drinking, smoking,and breaking rules
