Lightning

“Did you see Sirius and om my god Mary.” Remus rattles not being able to remove his eyes from them as our friends enter the deck carrying a unconscious Mary and Sirius.
“You heard Lily, they will be fine.” I answer not quit believing it myselff before pushing Remus towards our friends “But go to them, I will be fine and destroy this ship on my own.”
“Are you sure?.”
“Yes.” I nod before running down stairs. I managed to get to the boiler room without running into too much trouble, I took out the few engineers down there. I overheated the boilers that fuel the ship before bolting back upstairs trying to get as far away from the incoming explosion as possible. I reached the deck and saw a storm brewing as the sky turned dark. I could hear the thunder rumbling. I was about to jump of the ship into the water but someone grabbed the collar of my shirt and pulled me back on the deck. I saw the flames come towards me as I quickly used my own fire to protect me from the blast threatening to hurt me. The impact our fire made, caused me stumble back. I immediately found my footing again and started on the offense, knocking out the two fire nation soldiers who had attacked me. I noticed more soldiers piling up on deck, I counted at least 6 . I heard the thunder crack as saw lighting flashing through the sky. I changed my stance and when the lighting was about to strike down on the ship, I managed to redirect it to the soldiers, electrocuting them with lighting before I jumped of the ship.
I managed to swim ashore and looked back proudly to see the ships either on fire or sinking, but it was very clear that those ships wouldn’t be able sail off any time soon.
“You are mad.” I hear someone chuckle behind me to see Dorcas standing there sheathing her boomerang together with Marlene who was staring at me with wide eyes.
“Maybe a bit“ I smirk
“I didn’t know you could so that.” Dorcas whistled “Pretty amazing skill, bending lighting.”
“Not a lot of fire benders can bend lightning, I can’t either but I can redirect it, my mother taught me” I explain to her
“That is still pretty amazing.” Marlene nods “You looked very cool back there.”
“Thank you.” I smile “Now let’s go check on the others so we can help Regulus.” We turned around and ran to the mayors house where I saw everyone had awoken except for Mary while Sirius was in the process of gaining consciousness . Remus was holding his hand, his lips on Sirius his forehead murmuring against his skin that he loved him and was sorry for their fight.”
“I am here.” Sirius whispers to him “It’s okay, I am not going anywhere, we can talk later after we help my brother.”
“Don’t scare me like that again, you prick.” I swat Sirius his arm before engulfing him in a hug as I watch Remus and Marlene share an embrace their own.
“just returning the favour.” Sirius laughs referring to the one time the combustion bender knocked me on my ass.
“You came back.” I hear Marlene say to Remus
“Ofcourse I did.” Remus tells her kissing the top of her head “I can’t let my little sisters battle the fire nation alone” Then the other warriors also joined their hug before I heard Remus his choked sob ”What happened to Mary?” I look at the leader of the kyoshi warriors who was still not awake, Sirius had made his wat over to her to examine the rest of her injuries.
“Her Agni kai with the commander left some serious injuries.” Molly was the one who spoke explaining the situation “thank god, Sirius healed most of them.”
I noticed Remus look at Sirius who was once again using his healing abilities on Mary even though he looked clearly exhausted
“He is a skilled healer.” I hear Remus his broken voice say “She will be fine.”
“We have to go help Regulus.” Sirius stands up before pointing at the warriors “Stay with her and come at get me if she gets worse.”
“I am coming with.” Marlene says determined “no way I am leaving you guys again.”
“Sirius are you sure, you should come along?” I ask him weary as he looked like he was about to faint at any moment. I could see Remus looking at my best friend worried as well.
“It’s my brother, I am not staying behind.” He replies.
“Just stay close to me.” Remus sighs clearly not on board with the idea but wasn’t about to start another fight with his boyfriend and knew that Sirius would never forgive either one of us if we leave him behind
“We will keep her safe.” Alice smiles “Go.”
I nodded at Remus, Sirius, Lily, Dorcas, Marlene and I ran out to assist the avatar.
