Remus p.o.v
“Slow down Remus.” Sirius took ahold of my wrist “The others haven’t catched up yet and I rather not lose them in the tunnels.
“I already waited long enough.” I glare at him “Don’t stop me.”
“I am not stopping you.” Sirius answers looking me straight in the eye, not cowering under my glare “We just have to make sure we stay together, we don’t know what we are walking into, you have to keep thinking Remus and not rush into this.”
“Sirius this is my family, my home, I can’t stall any longer.”
“You will not move from this spot until the others join us.” he holds his ground “You promised not to go sacrificing yourself, so we will wait.”
I look down at the ground ashamed “I am sorry, I am just worried and angry.”
“Look at me.” Sirius cups my face with his hands making me look at him “I understand but you can’t act hasty, we waited a night to plan this for a reason, we do this together.”
“Can you guys walk any faster.” An out of breath Dorcas complained sarcastically as she and Lily reached us.
“Should have done more cardio.” Sirius teases her to which Dorcas just rolled her eyes.
“Why are we stopping here?” James asks as he and Regulus joined us as well.
“We were waiting.” I grumble looking at all of them “No more slacking off, let’s get moving.”
After walking for a while we reached the end of the tunnel. I stopped walking before taking a deep breath “We are here, when we round this corner we will be inside the cave we used for cover.”
Sirius took my hand in his, squeezing it “Let’s go.”
We walked the end of the tunnel and when I turned around the corner I heard voices getting louder as we got closer. “Remus.” An familiar voice spoke as we entered the cave. I saw Emmeline standing infront of me , tears in her eyes as she ran over and hugged me, I wrapped my free arm around her waist “You are here, you are really here.”
“We all are.” Regulus spoke from behind me.
Emmeline let go of me before turning to Regulus and the rest of the group, she let her gaze rank over Sirius and James not knowing them yet. “So you managed to save your brother the avatar.”
“About that.” Regulus awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck “ I lied back then, I am actually the avatar. My brother pretended to be me when he the fire nation came for me.”
Emmeline narrows her eyes at Regulus before a small smile made it’s way on her face “I knew something was up with your story, I am glad your were able to safe your brother and are now here to help us.”
“What happened here?” I ask her as I noticed not all villagers were inside the cave and I didn’t see any of the other warriors apart from the three young girls whose name I couldn’t remember . Where are the other Kyoshi warriors and mayor Slughorn?”
“I will explain everything but I believe introductions are in order first.” She sounds tired before turning to the only members unfamiliar to her “I am Emmeline, one of the Kyoshi warriors, we protect Kyoshi island.”
“This is my boyfriend Sirius.” I introduce Sirius to her as he had still not let go of my hand “He is the older brother of Regulus and that is James he is the exiled fire nation prince and Regulus his firebending teacher, he is on our side.”
“Good.” Emmeline nods a determined smile back of her face “We need all the help we can get. The fire nation had invaded us, enslaved most of the town and captured the rest of the Kyoshi warriors.”
“Tell us everything.” I plead her.
