“Dobby is getting tired.” Lily tells us the following morning “luckily we are almost at Kyoshi island.”
“I can’t wait to be home.” Remus beams happily “I wonder how the Kyoshi warriors are doing.”
“You and me both Rem.” Dorcas says dreamy.
I snort “You only care about how Marlene is doing, so you are finally going to make a move on her when you see her.”
“We’ll see.” She winks at me before turning to Lily “What about you, excited to see Mary again.”
“This time I am going to woo her, mark my words Mary Macdonald will be in love with me before we leave Kyoshi island.” Lily exclaims proudly making most of us laugh.
“I am rooting for you.” Remus smiles at her “if any one can melt her heart, it will be you.”
I turn to James as the rest of the group continues their conversation about flirting with the Kyoshi warriors “why are you so silent?”
“I’m just thinking.” James tells me.
“That is dangerous.” I smile at him “Last time you were thinking, you came up with the idea of me bending your sweat.”
“To be fair, that wasn’t a bad idea.” He grins.
“True, so what is on your mind now?”
“I think Regulus is in love with Evan.”
“in love with Evan.” I started to laugh “You’ve got to be joking me, Evan is very much in love with Barty. I have seem them together no one is getting between those two and Regulus is absolutely not in love with Evan,”
“They were about to kiss when I walked in on them.” he tells me.
I raise my eyebrow “Are you sure? Barty and Evan are very touchy people.”
“Yes, Evan was daring Regulus to kiss him.”
“James have you asked Regulus what was going on before making assumptions?”
“He was shocked to see me so it wasn’t that hard to figure out.”
I slap my own forehead “You are an idiot sometimes and I remember you saying you were done with people making accusations about you or Regulus but aren’t you doing the same thing by not letting him explain.” I shake my head “Honestly James, you have known my brother for a while now do you really think he would come between someone’s relationship?”
“No.” he replies
“So why didn’t you let him explain? Is that why the both of you are avoiding each other?”
“I was hurt.” He tells me “Because I like your brother.”
“I knew you liked him, I even straight out told you back at the swamp but you kept denying it ” I reply amused “But that doesn’t matter now. What matters is that you talk to my brother about your feelings for him. You know communication is very important in a relationship furthermore you have my blessing to pursue him romantically.”
I snort “I didn’t think, I needed your permission to like your brother.”
“well you have it either way.” I smile at him “now stop being stupid and talk to my brother.”
“I will.” James nods but before he could move over to Regulus I heard the other gasp in shock. I turn to see them all look infront of them.
“What is going on?” I ask the group but then my breath got stolen by the sight infront of me. Kyoshi was surrounded by fire nation ships. I turn to Remus whose knuckles were turning white as he grabbed the edge of the saddle tight, anger rolling of him. I carefully make my way of to him before pulling him in my arms. Remus clung to me as I felt his tears staining my clothes, this was his home being invaded by the fire nation.
“I will find us somewhere to land away from their prying eyes so we can come up with a plan” Lily tells us sounding defeated as she steered Dobby higher in the air, out of sight of the fire nation.
