The net came out of nowhere, I knew I heard something but I hadn’t sensed the net falling out of the air. Dobby roared in panic moving around as he was restrained by the ropes knocking into a male who crept up behind us. I ran to him trying to calm him down, I could hear Sirius faintly call out Remus his name. I turn around to see Sirius screaming while Regulus held him back as he looked over the edge. James set the net on fire trying to burn the ropes so we could get out but then a wave of water crashed over the burning rope, putting the fire out. “Stop fire bending.” An angry voice calls out “or we will strangle you.” Then vines wrapped around my neck and limbs restraining us from moving. I saw out of the corner of my eye the others were in the same predicament as I except for Remus who was nowhere to been seen. Dobby noticed me in danger and roared before using his tail to send the strange men he bumped earlier into the river
“Let me go.” Sirius yells broken still trying to look over the edge even though he was held back by the plants.
“What is this for magic.” Dorcas groans as she struggled to get out of the green trap.
“Release us or I set everything on fire.” James threatens them “and I mean everything.”
“Don’t you dare.” The voice from earlier replies and then I saw a man with a psychotic expression in his eyes walk in our eyesight “if you ever want to see your friend again, the waters here are not that safe.” He then twisted his finger making the vines around James his neck move so they were choking the prince. “Stop.” Regulus screams “You do not want to do this.”
“Oh but I do.” The man cackles as three other people joined him. I saw james running out of air and Regulus looked around frantic trying to think of something.
“Reg.” I call for him “Remember who you are.”
The crazy man tightened his grip on James his neck. I could see his body becoming lifeless as his eyes started to flutter close. “Stop it please.” Regulus begs “We do not mean any harm, we are here trying to find people to join our side.”
“what side?” an unfamiliar woman places a hand on the maniac his shoulder making him lose his grip on James who started wheezing to get air in his lungs again. I sighed in relief at least he was breathing again.
“My side.” Regulus says “I am the avatar and I am trying to find allies in my battle against the fire lord.”
“You are the avatar.” The unknown man snorted not believing it.
“We are looking for Poppy Pomfrey.” I cut in “she can tell you all who we are, she knows Minerva McGonagall.”
“You are familiar with our healers real name.” the only woman who hadn’t yet spoken step forward.
“Emma.” The other woman hissed “not another word.”
“Evelyn shut up.” Emma tells her “he says he is the avatar.”
“I told you to call me Zabini.” The woman rolled her eyes annoyed “but how can we believe them, their mutt blasted Evan in the river.”
“It’s Evan we are talking about.” Emma says “ he will be fine, a dive in the river might be good for him, he will finally become clean.”
“He could be dead.” The man keeps glaring at us “he isn’t a waterbender”
“Go look for him then Barty, Zabini and I will take our prisoners to see our chief.”
the man called barty removed his grip on the vines and let us go, he gave us a threating look before jumping after his friend who had fallen in the river earlier, he catched himself with the water.
“I am going as well Remus is out there.” Then Sirius jumped in before we could stop him.
“They will be fine.” Emma reassures us as Regulus and James exchanged worried glances “Barty is a bit psychotic but he isn’t heartless he will lead your friend back to the camp when they find our missing members, now follow me.”
