James watched the clouds past in northern Italy. She’d been living here in Italy for almost two years after his old roommates had kicked out of the flat he shared. She didn’t know how long he had been staying out with his thoughts but she knew it wasn’t long before his thoughts told him to jump. She didn’t listen to the thoughts because he knew better.
Her phone rang, she checked the caller id. The caller id reads Death Cast. She picks up the phone, she doesn’t care because he knew that he was going to die someday, he just didn’t expect it to be second day after his seventeenth birthday.
“Hello, I’m calling from Death Cast. I’m Hanna Parsons, calling to speak with James Potter.” She sounds confident, not caring that someone she’s calling will die. James doesn’t care either, she already knew that he would die someday, she knew it from the day her parents had informed her that aunt hanna had passed at the age of fourteen. She went to her funeral, she knew she had cried at the death of her aunt that passed peacefully, James was the closest person to her cousin. “How long do I have?” She asked the woman named Hanna.
“Five hours, dear…” the woman replied, probably not knowing she was talking to a newly seventeen teenager that was going to die today. She probably didn’t expect the laughter from James’s side of the phone in Italy. “Oh alright, what can I do?” James says as she finishes laughing at the idea that had popped in her head about jumping off the balcony ten minutes. “You’ll got five hours, dear. I regret to inform that in the next five hours you’ll be meeting an death, dear”. The woman talked about how James would be missed by others. “Okay?” James said as she watched the early morning clouds pass.
“And James?, on behalf of everyone here at Death Cast, we are so sorry to lose you. Live th—“ James hanged up on the woman. She knew what she was going to say. ‘Live this day to the fullest’ that was what the woman was going to say. She’s heard it before from a woman she had heard get the call a month before aunt hanna had passed. James watched the clouds for a few minutes more.
James wished she was back in England once again, but she wasn’t. She was a new person from the three years that her roommates had kicked her out, she wasn’t the person they hurt with their arguments every single day. She was a new person and she was going to die in the next five hours. She didn’t care, but she knew her friends back in England would care. Thoughts had consumed her that her old friends back in England had gotten new phones or had forgotten her. They probably did change their numbers, but the younger James in her heart wanted to.
Sirius, Remus and Peter were all older than James now, and she would stay seventeen forever. They were year thirteens when James had been in her ninth year. James was keeping up on the band, her former friends had made when they left school and James was the one who had suggested that they make the band. The former friends had stopped talking after two months in James’s tenth year. They probably didn’t even remember the name Jamie, the young ninth year who had suggested they made the band. Still James still wanted to make a attempt at contacting one of them, she didn’t know if they became famous after the loss of contact. She spent a hour trying to contacting Sirius Black.
Four Hours Left
Sirius Black
Sirius was in his flat in England with his bandmates when his phone had been ringing, the group had been telling him to pick it up. Regulus, his younger brother had been yelling at him to pick up the phone.
A few minutes, Sirius picked up the phone, certain the group wasn’t joking. Sirius picked up the phone and saw the caller id. He was shocked to find that the person calling was a person that they was left in the past, he thinks the shock on his face made the group concerned for him. “Hi? Is this um Sirius Black?” Asked the person on the phone.
“Yes.” Sirius had responded to the person. “Oh cool, do you remember a James from your thirteenth year at the boarding school you attended?” The young voice said as Sirius walked to be in private. He put the person closer to his ear. “Yes. What about him?” Asked Sirius, confused about why this person had called him. “Oh cool. Your talking to him now.” Said the person on the phone. Sirius had never forgotten the person that asked the group to go with their idea about the once three people band. “Oh really?” Said Sirius. “Yeah…”
Sirius and James talked for two hours. James watching the time on his side of the phone before he died.
“Um I’m calling to tell you that death cast called me before, and I hoped that you remembered me, before I um die?” James said, Sirius had not been expected James Potter die so young, but now he knew it. Sirius had let out a sob, before he walked up to Remus and hugged him. James had hung up the phone, two minutes ago and Sirius was hard sobbing into Remus’s shoulders. Only he knew now that James Potter was going to die young.
Four Minutes Left
James Potter
James Potter had decided his fate in the three hours she spent talking to Sirius Black.
He knew how she was going to die.
She had walked up to the top of her apartment building in those three hours, Sirius hadn’t noticed the walking sounds in the background on James’s end.
Sirius never noticed things like that.
James Potter had hung up on Sirius Black, three minutes ago
James Potter had pushed herself off the Northern Italian apartment,
Her last ever words were ‘so long, italy.’
and now she was dead. She had fallen thirty stories.
Her body was found by the Italian police in the early morning.
