Chapter 32
My heart is so full of you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~♡
Everyone woke up when Harry and Ginny's loud voices suddenly rang out. They were arguing. But it was impossible to tell what they were arguing about.
"What's going on now?" whispered Ted, who was staying with the Potters that night.
James moved quietly towards the stairs, hoping to hear something. But to no avail.
Albus frowned.
Then everything was suddenly very quiet. Harry and Ginny had used a silencing charm.
"Did you hear something?" asked Lily quietly, but James shook his head. "Maybe it was something about work. Come on, we should go back to sleep." Ted added, practically shooing the teenagers back to their rooms before shaking his head and then making his way to the stairs.
-
In the kitchen:
"I'm really trying my best, Ginny, not to despise Scorpius! But I can't do it, okay?" Harry softened his voice. Ginny stood in front of him, arms crossed.
"So you won't think Scorpius is okay until Albus is about to die and Scorpius is worried about him?" Her voice sounded angry and Harry looked at her in horror.
"Why are you thinking like that?! Nothing will happen to Albus, not under my watch." Harry stood there determined.
"Don't fool yourself. We're on the verge of a wizarding war. Anything can happen, Harry. We have to expect the worst, even if we don't want to hear it."
Ted slowly entered the kitchen. He had now heard the conversation. "Hey, I think Scorpius is okay. It seems to me that he is very important to Albus."
"I don't want to hear that. That's nonsense. The two are just friends - they are not best friends," Harry interrupted Ted quickly.
"Isn't that right, Ginny?" He turned to his wife, who now looked a little bit nervous. Harry didn't like that at all.
Then Victoire, who shared a room with Ted, also entered the room. She was holding a Daily Prophet in her hand; she had just returned from Hogsmeade.
Ted turned to her. "It's the middle of the night! Where have you been? I was going to go and look for you!" Upset, he went to Victoire, who looked exhausted. He quickly took her in his arms, hugged her and kissed her on the forehead before kissing her on the lips. "I love you so much... What happened, darling?"
"Death Eaters attacked Hogsmeade. They were looking for something. The whole of Hogsmeade was cordoned off and I stayed in the three broomsticks with Rosmerta to protect the people inside."
Ted, Harry and Ginny stared at Victoire in shock.
"Are you okay?" Ted asked worriedly and hugged his lover again. "Yes."
"Oh, and I have something else," Victoire began and now she was looked at with interest.
"Rosmerta asked me how Albus and Scorpius were. She said she was a little worried about them because she apparently knows that they don't have it easy - those were her words."
Ginny swallowed nervously and Harry frowned. "Why shouldn't Albus have it easy? He has a great family!"
Ted had a thoughtful expression on his face before his eyes widened slightly.
"Darling, that's not the only thing that matters in life."
"But it is one of the most important things."
"Yes, that's true."
Albus crept into his father's room and locked the door. He moved to the desk, used the Alohomora charm on the very last compartment and opened it. He stared into it and took another deep breath.
No one would notice. Hopefully.
He reached in and took out condoms. Although magic could be used, Muggle protection and magic together was better.
Two is better than one.
He didn't know when he and Scorpius would sleep together, but he wanted to at least have some preparation.
Then he closed the compartment again and turned around.
"What are you doing?" James' voice rang out and Albus flinched in shock. He quickly hid the condoms in his jeans without James being able to see what he was hiding there.
"Nothing."
"Nothing?" You sneak into Dad's office and you say 'Nothing'?" James started to grin and Albus sighed and walked to the door.
"What are you up to, little brother?" James grinned, blocking Albus's way.
"Trust me, you don't want to know," Albus replied monotonously before slipping under James' arm and walking out of the room.
"Hey, that move wasn't fair!" James said, also walking out of the office.
"What were you two doing in there? You know Dad doesn't want anyone going into his office!" Lily scolded before a grin crept onto her face. "So what are you guys up to?"
James shrugged. "Albus won't tell me."
Albus stared at him. "For a good reason."
Lily looked at Albus intently, hoping to get some sort of reaction from him. But Albus was completely unreadable at the moment.
"You're not going to leave me alone, are you?" Albus asked and James nodded. "Nope."
"Okay..." Albus began and moved towards the stairs. "I still won't tell you," Albus finished his sentence as he passed James and Lily.
A FEW DAYS LATER
The attack on Hogsmeade had been a few days ago, and so had Ginny and Harry's argument. The teenagers still didn't know anything about it.
The house was very quiet at the moment. It was Sunday, just after noon. Lunch was already served.
Albus was sitting on his bed with his Potions book on his lap. Scorpius was sitting on the bed leaning against the wall.
"Everything okay?" Scorpius asked, putting his own book aside. Albus sighed a little louder than he intended.
"I'm avoiding my family again. I noticed last night that I'm doing it unconsciously again. I feel like their eyes are on me more since you and the others have been here. As if they want to protect me and don't trust you or like you. And I don't like that. I trust you, that should be enough, shouldn't it?" Albus looked at the floor and felt Scorpius slide closer to him.
Scorpius rested his chin on Albus' shoulder. Slowly he wrapped his arms around Albus' stomach from behind.
"Actually, yes, love. You don't have to pretend in front of your family. If they can't accept it, then it's their bad luck, not yours."
"Mhm," Albus replied, leaning harder against Scorpius, which Scorpius only enjoyed.
"You're right. I've thought that many times."
Then there was silence for a few seconds.
Then Scorpius reached for Albus' book, which was in Albus' lap. Albus watched Scorpius' hand.
Scorpius put the book down. "Studying enough, right?"
Albus nodded. "What's on your mind?"
"A lot."
Scorpius kissed Albus' neck once before Albus turned around. They stared into each other's eyes.
Their lips collided, Scorpius wrapped his arms around Albus and pulled him onto his lap. Both sighed into the kiss.
They separated and Albus leaned his forehead against Scorpius. "I love you."
Scorpius smiled, which Albus immediately returned. "I love you too. So much," Scorpius replied, letting his hand wander into Albus' hair.
"We all have to get ready! The party for Grandma and Grandpa's wedding anniversary is starting soon!" Lily called out in the hallway to inform everyone who was currently in their rooms.
"Do we have to dress up?" Scorpius asked, staring deep into Albus' eyes. Neither of them wanted to look away.
"Yes," Albus replied before pressing his lips to Scorpius' lips. Then Albus walked away. "We have to get ready."
"Right," Scorpius said, following Albus into the bathroom.
"I hate taming my hair," Alaric grumbled, and Jareth laughed in response. Albus and Scorpius grinned.
"And I hate suits even more," Alaric added, fiddling with his clothes. Jareth turned him to face him and straightened his tie. "You should learn that."
Alaric and Jareth finished first and left the bathroom, leaving Albus and Scorpius alone.
Albus fixed his hair by running his hand through it a few times. There was no point in trying to tame it. It would always look a bit wild.
He felt Scorpius staring at him and turned to face him accordingly. He had to swallow at the sight. Seeing Scorpius in a suit was something else entirely.
And it turned him on.
Scorpius approached Albus and gave him a kiss on the lips. Then another. And another.
Albus giggled. "What was that for?"
Scorpius smiled and leaned his nose against Albus'. "For loving you so much."
Albus wrapped his arms around Scorpius' neck.
"And that you look so hot in a suit."
That made Albus laugh and blush. He pressed his face against Scorpius' shirt to hide his blush.
Scorpius hid his face in Albus' hair and took a deep breath - as if he wanted to inhale Albus' scent so strongly that he would smell it forever.
"I don't want to lose you," Albus suddenly whispered and in response Scorpius hugged him even tighter. "What? Why do you think that?"
"Wizarding War and everything. The animosity between our families," Albus explained quietly and then the two of them separated slightly so they could get a good look at each other and look each other in the eyes.
"Albus. We're staying together no matter what happens. We've spent the last six years together and looked out and cared for each other - that will always be the case. That will never change. Understood?" Scorpius explained and looked at Albus with a gentle expression on his face.
Albus nodded hesitantly. As much as he wanted to believe Scorpius' words, he still had doubts. The worries were eating him up from the inside, spreading like a disease.
Albus gently placed his hand on Scorpius' cheek and Scorpius melted into the touch.
"Thank you."
♡
Percy insisted on getting a cake for today. That's why it was now on the table in the middle of the magically enlarged living room.
The last to arrive were George, Bill and Fleur.
"It was about time," Hermione said, whereupon Ron put his hand on her shoulder. And how Hermione hated being late.
"Seriously, you didn't have to get a cake," Molly said, putting her hands on her hips. "Yes," Percy replied and Ginny wandered over to her mother. "Happy anniversary." She kissed her mother on the cheek. Albus felt someone looking at him, but he tried to ignore it. It was Narcissa, who was staring at him and Scorpius in turn.
Albus looked around the room a bit and then caught Rose's eye. She tried to manage a smile, but it didn't really come across as genuine.
Small groups formed and were involved in various conversations. After a while, an owl suddenly flew into the living room and landed very awkwardly on the floor.
"That's our family owl," said Faye, who stepped closer to the owl and took the letter that was attached to the owl's leg.
"Usually, things like that don't mean anything good," said Rose, which immediately earned her an angry look from Lily. "A little sensitivity, please!"
"Sorry, I didn't mean that to come across as shitty," Rose apologized, and you could tell that she took the apology seriously.
"Take the letter, Faye, we're going to the kitchen. Alaric, come with me," Ginny decided, because she didn't want the letter to be opened in front of the whole family.
Nobody knew what it might say.
Narcissa admired Ginny's confidence and ambition to be able to get her own way and put her family's views aside. But she wouldn't admit it - at least not yet.
It took about five minutes before the three of them came back into the living room. Ginny had a thoughtful expression on her face.
Everything quickly went back to normal.
"What's wrong?" Jareth asked immediately and Faye shrugged. "They can't leave the country at the moment. The Ministries of Magic in almost all countries have apparently introduced stricter rules since the dark side gained power. It will probably take a little longer before they can come to us," Faye explained and Alaric nodded.
"But we shouldn't worry," Alaric added.
It was getting later and later. It even got to the point where Teddy started talking to Draco Malfoy. Who would have thought.
Scorpius approached Albus' face. "You're driving me crazy with that outfit." Scorpius whispered in Albus' ear. Butterflies then began to break out in Albus' stomach.
Albus looked around the room. "James has already disappeared into his room." Scorpius nodded in response.
"We can leave if you want," Albus whispered and looked Scorpius in the eyes, who was staring at Albus' lips.
"Okay..." Scorpius whispered back, Albus nodded and stood up. No one noticed that they were going to the stairs.
No one, except Ginny.
She narrowed her eyes and stared after Albus and Scorpius.
-
When they arrived in the room, the door was closed first. Then it was magically sealed so that no one could open it with an Alohomora spell.
Albus immediately became really nervous, but he tried not to let it show.
The next second their lips collided and this time it felt completely different.
A thousand times better than ever before.
Immediately Albus was pushed against the wall. His hands found their way to Scorpius' back and slid up and down.
Albus felt Scorpius' hands on his hips and then his arms wrapped around his body. Scorpius held him even closer.
At this touch, Albus gasped and he could feel Scorpius beginning to smile. Then Albus released his lips slightly.
"Bed or sofa?"
"Bed," Scorpius answered and Albus began to gently push Scorpius towards the bed. There, Scorpius lay on his back on the bed and Albus climbed over him.
He lay between Scorpius' legs.
Both were breathing heavily from their kissing and Albus slowly began to place kisses on Scorpius' neck. Scorpius' grip on Albus gradually became stronger.
Scorpius moaned when Albus reached his sensitive spot and left a hickey there.
Scorpius' hand moved agonizingly slowly under Albus' shirt, which made Albus gasp.
He would probably never get used to this feeling.
It just felt too good.
Albus could feel Scorpius' hands moving away from his skin and his fingers lingering on the buttons of his shirt.
"Can I take it off for you, love?" Scorpius asked and Albus answered with a yes that was mixed with heavy breathing. He wanted to feel his hands on his body. Urgently. Everywhere.
Scorpius gently pulled Albus' shirt off and threw it on the floor, not thinking of anything else but Albus himself.
Albus closed his eyes for a moment as Scorpius' hands slid over his upper body.
Then he grabbed Scorpius' shirt and unbuttoned it. He looked Scorpius in the eyes to make sure that Scorpius wanted this just as much as he did.
Scorpius' shirt found its way to the floor.
"You are so beautiful," Albus whispered, wanting this moment to be just for the two of them.
Just them.
"I love you," Albus whispered, which made Scorpius smile. "I love you too."
Then Albus placed kisses on Scorpius' collarbone, who then buried his hands in Albus' hair.
"Fuck..." Scorpius gasped, pressing his body even more against Albus'.
Scorpius' right hand found its way to Albus' hip and slowly moved from there to his back. His other hand moved to Albus' belt.
Albus stomach turned.
"Are you sure you want to do this?" Scorpius asked, looking gently at Albus. "Yes, I'm sure. You?"
Scorpius nodded, then began to grin. "So, can I unbuckle the belt?"
Albus licked his lips before he began to grin as well. "I beg you."
"Okay, then we just have to do one more thing before we go any further," Scorpius explained, reached over to the bedside table where his wand was, took it in his hand and pointed it at the door.
He cast a silencing charm on the room, then put his wand aside before pulling Albus close to him again.
He was able to softly wedge him between his legs because Albus was lying between his legs.
"Now we can continue," Scorpius explained with a grin and Albus nodded. Then he pressed his lips to his.
"Just hope we're not interrupted this time," Albus whispered and kissed Scorpius longingly on the lips. More longingly than ever before.
"Hopefully we won't. I finally want to sleep with you. I want you."
Butterflies were now wildly raging around Albus' stomach.
"I want you too. Now."
