Chapter 10

The teenagers from the Potter-Weasley family were just entering Hogwarts together. Albus and Lily were at the back.

"You're seeing your lover boy again," Lily whispered with a provocative undertone and Albus' cheeks grew hot.

"Awww, someone is in love!" Lily nudged him with a grin and Albus blushed even more than before. "Lily!"

Lily laughed and started walking faster. "See you at dinner!"

Albus looked after her and he really wondered why he even let Lily know about it. It was going to be so embarrassing.

Albus moved past James and Fred, who were just about to make their way to the Gryffindor common room. Albus felt the two of them staring at him.

Albus had probably never been back in the Slytherin common room so quickly. Once inside, he immediately looked around and spotted a blond-haired boy sitting on the sofa who looked suspiciously like Scorpius Malfoy.

He had to suppress his smile and moved to the sofa. There he sat down next to the boy, who flinched. "Al!"

Albus laughed a little and was pulled into a quick hug. He thought it was a shame that the hug didn't last longer.

"And? How was it?" Scorpius asked immediately and Albus could lose himself in his eyes.

They were so beautiful.

"Bad," Albus replied and Scorpius immediately turned his entire body towards Albus, signaling to him that he would listen to every word Albus said.

And then Albus started to talk. About the discussion about Scorpius, then dinner, Lily and Rose's argument and so on.

"Unknown dark wizard group? At Hogwarts?"

Scorpius tilted his head in confusion and Albus shrugged his shoulders. "They said you would definitely join this group."

Albus frowned as Scorpius exhaled loudly. "Because my father is a former Death Eater?"

"I think." Albus' voice was barely above a whisper. "And Lily wants to meet you."

Scorpius' gaze immediately shot to Albus. "Me? The others won't approve of this." Scorpius' eyes wandered from Albus to the fireplace, and then back to Albus, who had already cast his gaze to the floor. "She said no one needed to know about it."

A grin began to form on Scorpius' face. "I'm really not a good influence on the Potter siblings."

In response to the comment, Albus laughed lightly and Scorpius joined in.

If only you knew.

"Well, look at that! The Slytherin power couple is reunited!" Four Slytherins moved past Albus and Scorpius, laughing mockingly.

At that moment, Albus could only see anger. No other emotion.

He wanted to curse those four and make their lives miserable.

"Al?"

His gaze immediately flew away from the four boys and towards Scorpius, who flinched in shock, grabbed Albus' arm and pulled him to his feet.

Albus turned around and saw red smoke that smelled like fire. It spread and came even closer to the four idiots.

Albus didn't mean that.

He didn't want to hurt anyone, he hadn't even created the fire on purpose. He was just angry.

His heart was bouncing and he felt so bad about it.

The four boys became more and more panicked until one of the students pulled out his wand. "Auqamenti!"

Water shot in the direction of the fire and Albus tried to turn off his emotions.

He hoped that he could use it to tame the fire.

That the spell cast by one of the students had an effect.

And it helped.

The water was able to defeat the fire.

"Merlin... How did the fire even start?" Scorpius was out of breath and still holding Albus' arm. "I think we two should talk." Albus looked away from the crowd of students to look at Scorpius.

"Come on then," Scorpius muttered and pulled Albus in the direction of their dormitory.

-

"Why didn't you tell me earlier?" Scorpius said, raising his eyebrows. He looked a little confused.

"I don't know. I don't even know what it is," Albus explained, taking a breath. "It worries me, Scorpius. I didn't mean to hurt them. Fuck, I didn't even mean for that damn fire to start!" Albus ran his hands through his hair in despair and Scorpius immediately grabbed Albus' wrists. "Stop it, Al."

"You have me. I'm with you. Always. You don't have to go through this alone, we're in this together. Understood?" Scorpius' voice allowed no argument.

Green met grey.

This moment seemed to stop.

There were only the two of them.

It was as if the two of them had just made some kind of deal.

Neither of them wanted to leave or let the other down.

"You and me."

"You and me."

"Due to the earliest incident in the last few hours in the Slytherin common room, all four common rooms will be monitored by us professors this week." Headmistress McGonagall stood in front of her desk in the Great Hall and talked about the fire outbreak.

James, Lily, Rose and all of Albus' other cousins immediately looked at him and had a slightly worried expression on their faces. Albus shook his head to signal to the others that nothing had happened to him.

A few Gryffindor students started whispering and you could hear the words "Malfoy and Potter were definitely involved." When James heard this, he immediately stood up and moved towards them. There he dropped his right hand onto the table and the others - who had been talking badly - flinched briefly.

"Not a word about my brother!"

Fred literally jumped up and pulled James back a little. "James!"

"Now you're protecting your brother? But all the other years you've mostly just ignored him or argued with him?" A Slytherin boy with jet-black hair smiled provocatively. "It's a bit ridiculous."

His friends next to him agreed.

"What?" James turned to the Slytherin table.

The black-haired boy shrugged. "We've never seen Albus with any of you. You're his family, aren't you?"

"What's that got to do with you?" Louis' voice got a little louder at the end of the sentence.

"We're in the same house, Weasley."

"But apparently none of you know the word loyal." Now another student from Slytherin chimed in.

McGonagall frowned worriedly and watched this scene carefully.

Back then, the rivalry between Gryffindor and Slytherin had also increased before a wizard war began.

But this time, siblings were right in the middle again.

McGonagall wasn't worried that Albus and Scorpius would switch to the dark side.

She was only worried about the influence that the other Slytherin students could have on them.

"Shut up," Rose countered, annoyed. Unfortunately, Albus could only agree with the other Slytherins - even if he somehow didn't want to.

He really didn't want to.

But if it's the truth.
