Chapter 7

"It's only a weekend," Scorpius shared his opinion as he got ready for breakfast in the Great Hall.

Albus got ready for the Hogwarts Express. "It's still getting on my nerves a bit." He looked in the mirror again before moving to his bedside table, picking up his scarf and wand.

"You'll never be able to tame your hair," Scorpius laughed a little, and Albus' face twisted into a grin. "Oh, do you like that?"

"Maybe," Scorpius replied, and Albus thought he would fall over on the spot. Internally, Albus took a deep breath in and out before pulling himself together again. Scorpius finished him off.

The blond-haired man looked at the clock on the wall and frowned. "Um, Al. You should be at the train by now." He turned around and looked at Albus, who blinked twice before reacting and walking to the door.

"See you on Monday, Scorp!" Albus opened the door and Scorpius grinned as Albus hurried out of the room.

Albus had never been to the Hogwarts Express as quickly as he was today. He recognized James and Lily from a distance. "Sorry for the delay." Albus stopped breathlessly in front of the two.

James stared at him a little longer than usual. "Everything okay?" Albus' eyes immediately went to James. "Yes?"

Lily's eyes darted back and forth between the two. "The others are already inside." Albus and James nodded before following Lily onto the train and walking to the compartment where Rose and Hugo were sitting.

Albus sat down silently next to Lily, who sat next to Hugo. The journey was quiet and no one spoke. Or rather, there were a few attempts to start a conversation, but it never really worked, so everyone gave up.

The Potter family entered the house together. Hermione, Ron and their children had gone home and were only coming to visit in the late afternoon because everyone had been invited at that time.

Molly and Arthur asked Ginny and Harry if they could hold the meeting in the Potter house because it was simply more pleasant when so many people came to visit.

Lily immediately hung up her scarf next to the front door and Ginny gently ran her hand through her hair. "Are you and Lysander talking again?"

Lily hesitated briefly before nodding. "It was just a small misunderstanding." She turned to Ginny, who nodded. But she didn't look convinced.

"Well, you three can get some sleep and rest. We still have time, I'll let you know in good time." Ginny smiled at her children, but her gaze lingered on Albus the longest. He swallowed nervously and Ginny turned her head from Albus to the kitchen door, signaling that he should follow her.

James and Lily ran to their rooms and made a race out of it again.

In the kitchen, Harry was already standing next to the dining table, resting his right hand there. Ginny cleared her throat a little before standing next to Harry and throwing her hair back so it wouldn't get in the way.

Albus started playing with his hands and at that moment he wanted nothing more than to have Scorpius with him.

But he wasn't there.

"So... what's your friend's name?" Harry's voice was calm and he tried to keep it as gentle as possible. Ginny smiled with pride.

Come on, Albus. Think of an excuse.

"To be honest, I don't really remember. I only hung out with him once in Hogsmeade because we somehow started talking in class." Albus scratched the back of his head and Ginny's shoulders sank a little. Her eyebrows were slightly drawn together and her lips were drawn into a line.

Harry frowned.

In the meantime, James leaned against the doorframe. His gaze wandered back and forth between the two before Albus noticed James.

James raised his eyebrows and Albus kept an emotionless expression on his face. James swallowed and sighed quietly before shaking his head slightly and turning around.

He went back to his room, but before that he looked at Albus with a serious look.

"Can I go into the room?" Albus asked and Ginny nodded immediately. "Yes, of course."

Harry opened his mouth, but then closed it again immediately. Albus turned around on the spot and went to the stairs.

-

"Fuck, Al." Scorpius' mouth was slightly open and Albus was leaning over Scorpius.

"You're so pretty." Both groaned for a moment.

"Is it okay if I move?"

"Yes, please."

-

Albus immediately jumped up and sat upright on his bed.

His breathing was loud and heavy. His heart was racing and he desperately ran his hands through his hair.

He had never dreamed about this with Scorpius before.

Fuck.

Shit.

Albus threw his blanket to the side, stood up as quickly as possible and listened out into the hallway. Then he slowly opened the door and made his way to the bathroom.

When he got there, he locked the door and leaned against it.

His gaze wandered to the shower and he thought about how the fire suddenly started in his hand.

Unconsciously, his right hand moved to the waistband of his shirt and he slowly lifted it up. He thought of Scorpius. Meanwhile, he cast a silencing spell on the room and moved to the shower. There he turned on the water and let his thoughts run free.
