Dad,

Hope this letter reaches you well. I am fine. Incredible actually! The classes have been good so far. I have earned exactly 10 points for Gryffindor and lost none so far. Though you would probably be disappointed in me. Do not worry I don't plan to be good for so long. Ron and I are hoping to sneak with the Invisibility cloak and the Marauders map soon. Ron and I are very good friends now and so am I with Hermione. She is a muggle but is incredibly passionate about the wizarding world. She reminds me of Mom actually. Strict, rules-abiding and talented. I have been getting along with the other fellow Gryffindors too. A friendly bunch they are. I don't know if Professor Mcgonnagal told you that already, but I have been accepted into the Gryffindor Quidditch team!! Crazy? I know right! She says I am the youngest seeker in the century! She also says that she expects me to be like you and Papa, both excellent Quidditch players. I hope I can make you two proud. I wasn't even thinking about getting into the team at first since first years are not allowed a broom so they are off the team. But then in our flying class, I got to showcase my skills and Madam Hooch praised me a lot! I also managed to catch Neville’s remembrall, a gift from his grandma, in time when it slipped out of his robe while he was in the air. Had to take a steep dive but I pulled it off, landed on the grass, the remembrall and me both unhurt ! It reached Macgonnagal’s ears and here I am, the youngest seeker in a century! The Slytherins were impressed too. We had flying classes with them.

Speaking of them, Draco has invited me and Ron to play Quidditch with him over the course of summer. Ron says you would know his parents. He is a Slytherin and so was his rest of the family, he claims. He is nice, definitely a bit too boastful, sharp with his words which can come off as rude at times. Though he can be very mean if he wants to. He and Ron actually got into a fight the first day itself, and said some hurtful things. Both of them did. Ron made a comment of how he doesn't want to be sorted in Slytherin and  how there are no evil witches and wizards that went bad  weren't  in Slytherin. Childish, I know, I told him too . Draco heard it and in response insulted Ron for his family's financial condition. Don't worry, I talked to Ron about his prejudice  like Papa taught me too. And now he feels stupid. Draco came later and apologised, said he was regretful of his actions and so did Ron. So, we are good now. He gets along with Hermione now as well.

Dad, I will write to you more later. Now Ron is badgering me to hurry up. We are supposed to visit Hagrid this evening. Draco will join us too.

I love you. Tell Papa my ' I love you' too.

Take care.
