SIRIUS BLACK III

"Sirius Orion Black," grumbled Walburga, in a foul mood, summoning her eldest. They'd just finished supper, and he was halfway up the stairs. He turned at the sound of his mother's call and gave her a look of displeasure with his large gray eyes.

"What the hell do you want now, Mother?" Sirius asked, annoyed.

"Those aren't words to use, Sirius!" the woman exclaimed, placing a hand to her chest in shock.

"I couldn't care less," he retorted, rolling his eyes, a gesture that once again set Walburga's teeth on edge. Regulus watched from the doorway of the living room, amusement dancing in his eyes.

"A letter from Hogwarts has arrived for me," the woman began to explain, "from Dumbledore himself, to be precise. It says if you don't start behaving like a responsible and well-mannered wizard next term, he'll have no choice but to expel you... And let me tell you, I've no interest in being embarrassed in front of the entire Wizarding World."

"Just pretend you don't know me, Mother," Sirius mocked, winking at his brother, "given that it always seems to work."

"So I regret to inform you," Walburga continued as if there had been no interruption, "that this summer you won't have permission to visit my dear friend Euphemia’s house," she said with obvious sarcasm.

"Brilliant!" exclaimed Sirius, surprising his mother. "I'll go without permission." And with that, he began to climb up the stairs.

"If you step outside this house for the rest of the summer," Walburga threatened, beginning to hyperventilate, "you won't set foot in it again in your life."

"That would be delightful, wouldn't it?" he laughed, practically sprinting to his room.

Half an hour later, he descended with his trunk and a grin. His mother stood motionless in the hallway, watching him.

"I see you'll be following in Druella's daughter's footsteps..." she started, seemingly struggling to find her words.

"Andromeda. She has a name." Sirius corrected her, making Walburga grind her teeth; the erased ones from the tapestry were not to be mentioned under any circumstances, and that was known by all. "Now that I think about it, I'll go see her before heading to James's. Your great-niece Dora must be missing me."

With nothing more than a wink, he opened the front door and jumped into the street.

Walburga made her way to the living room, a mix of emotions swirling within her. She had just learned from her own son's mouth that he was in contact with Andromeda, and that he clearly wished to be disowned. After pondering it for a few seconds, she raised her hand with determination. With a flick of her wand and a purple beam of light, the name Sirius Black III became nothing more than a faint memory on the Black family tapestry.
