Cry
They spent the next hour talking about battle plans. Towards the end Hirotsu spoke up.
"We also forgot to mention something in the letter. We wanted to tell you personally," At this Dazai only looked confused, "mimic's leader...he killed your sister, Maiji Tsushima, we offer our condolences."
Dazai was at that moment filled with rage and grief. Tears threatened to spill over. He stood up getting ready to leave. He didn't want his subordinates to see him cry and think he was weak.
"Hirotsu...get this jacket refitted. Then get an offence line ready. I'll get the gravity manipulator to help us with this." Their eyes widened.
"Scratch the plans, we're taking an army to their bases tonight. I will personally take care of their boss. The port mafia will triumph." Only those who looked really closely could see it, Hirotsu and the executives, but there was a tear that rolled down Dazai's face as he left the room.
The jacket and scarf still sat in Dazai's chair. Hirotsu grabbed them and went to fit them for Dazai. He was Dazai's caretaker when he was a child, before becoming a mafia boss, and knew of his size and could get him new clothes as necessary.
As soon as the door to his room closed Dazai started balling. NONONONONONONONONONONONOONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONO HOW COULD I LET THIS HAPPEN?! NOT MAIJI TOO!
He screamed. Loud. By the time he was finished sobbing his eyes were red and puffy. It was clear he had been crying. Hirotsu knocked on the door.
"Come in." Dazai sounded quiet and his voice shook. Hirotsu opened the door and set down the new jacket.
Upon seeing Dazai's face he came closer and set a hand on Dazai's shoulder.
"Are you alright, sir?"
...
Dazai didn't know how to answer that. Hot tears started to run down his face once more. He felt a pressure on him. It surprised him. It wasn't anything like a punch or slap across the face...this was a...hug? Dazai had never had one. However, it felt so good. He hugged Hirotsu back, sobbing into his shoulder.
"M-Maiji..."
"I know...I know Osamu...cry it all out." Hirotsu padded Dazai's back. Now that he thought about it, Hirotsu was so much of a father or grandfather figure to Dazai. The man calling him Osamu didn't even really requester though his tears. However the more he thought about Hirostu using his first name the more Dazai liked it.
"She's gone...Mimic is going to pay..."
"Yes they will Osamu...then when that is done do you want to do something to cheer you up?"
Hirotsu really was like his grandpa...he liked Hirotsu. Dazai pulled out of the hug and looked at Hirotsu.
"Ya sure....thank you, gramps." Dazai rubbed at his eyes. "I think...that I'll be able to convince Chuuya Nakahara to help us..."
"Ya? Well, Osamu, you don't need to think about it to hard right now. Would you like anything? Ice cream perhaps?" Hirotsu said. He was being so kind to Dazai. Dazai hasn't felt this fatherly love in...well he hasn't....ever.
"Can...can I just have you? Please?"
Hirotsu smiled. "Of course."
The two spent the next couple of hours watching movies, eating ice cream, and genuinely enjoying each others company. Dazai felt that he finally had a loving family, outside of Hogwarts.
"I think I need to see the gravity manipulator now." His eyes were a little red from all the crying he had done. Once he had started he just couldn't stop it seemed. Now that he was done sobbing he was ready to execute his plan.
"Right. Good luck Osamu. We will station our men around Mimic's bases."
Dazai stood up and put on his new jacket and scarf. He walked towards Sheeps base.
Chuuya hadn't expected to see a mafia executive at the Sheeps base door.
"What the- what are you doing here?" Chuuya asked Dazai. That's when he noticed it...those are the clothes for the mafia's boss!
"I need your help. Please help the port mafia to defeat Mimic." Dazai said. The guys head was bowed, hiding his eyes. Chuuya found it weird.
"AIN'T NO WAY I'M HELPING THE PORT MAFIA!" He started to close the door but Dazai put his foot in it to stop it. Dazai looked up. There were tears in his eyes, threatening to spill over.
"PLEASE NAKAHARA! This isn't about a small little fight thing...their boss...they...killed Mori and now I'm the boss. Their boss also killed my sister. I need your help to get back at him." The tears fell.
That stopped Chuuya in his tracks. He wasn't one to help the port mafia or care when someone like Dazai cried. However, family was very important to Chuuya and if Dazai had been this messed up because his sister died....then...
"Ok. I'll help you."
Dazai rubbed at his eyes. "Thank you, Nakahara..." The sentence was shakey.
They started to walk off it the direction of Mimic's base.
This battle was going to be hard. The one of their lives, it would end the fight between Mimic and the Port Mafia. Dazai wondered how he could hide any super bad injuries and his grief from the others at Hogwarts. This time around he was going to save Odasaku, by never meeting him.
