My Rose
Neville sat in the greenhouse after Harry once again defended him from their roommates. They hadn’t been nice this past year as he had gotten taller and none of his clothes fit him properly anymore. He sat next to his newest plant, a small madrake that Luna had given to him a month previously. It had been sick when he saw it in the window and told her he wanted to nurse it back to health, it was their 6 month anniversary.
“My the wrackspurts are all over you my love, what are you so worried about?” A soft airy voice fills the greenhouse.
“My Rose, nothing that you need to worry about, the wrackspurts will leave soon enough.” He responds softly
“But you need to deal with them, what has been troubling you? I wish for you to be well.”
“Nothing but the boys again my Rose. Harry dealt with them so they will leave me alone for a while.”
“Oh but that's what you said last time. I could help, you know I could, I can hold my own.”
“That's not what I want, and I know you can hold your own, you earned the nickname Rose, Luna. You are the most beautiful thing I have ever seen but if people don't pay attention or they try to change you, you can hurt them too. You have thorns, but it only adds to your beauty.”
