Hermione POV
Waking up this morning I look around the dorm to see that both lavender and Pavati I grab my checking the time realizing I'm going to be late for class I quickly crawl out of bed and into the bathroom and take a quick shower and put my uniform on I check the mirror and notice that my hair was still curly from over the weekend, so I decided to braid the front leaving some out to frame my face with the curls cascading down my back I grab my phone and quickly head downstairs into the common room I notice it is practically empty I check the time on my phone realizing I was late for potions I hastily ran out of the common room and down the hallway to see a group of students waiting.
I make my way to the front to talk to harry, “what the hell is happening?” I ask him “apparently professor Snape is in a meeting with Dumbledore so he is running late” he informs me “ok and-” “Weasley can't you two get a room” a student yelled interrupting me causing me to turn to the source of his angry I see Ron snogging lavender not even two days after we broke I turn to see professor Snape coming down the hall like a raging bull the students quickly part like the Red Sea he uses his wand to open the door “enter” he said.
We quickly shuffle into the classroom and take our seats I notice that he has a wired look in his eye he takes out a hat and tells us to write our names on piece of paper and put them into the hat after we are finished he puts the hat on the table “today headmaster Dumbledore has initiated a new kind of tradition into our school” he said I roll my eyes and start drowning out professor thinking of what he has in store for use this year “ms granger” he said causing me to snap back to reality.
“You will be our first victim of the year” he said I look at Luna, and she mouthed the word's memory replay and instantly knew what was going to happen “ok fine” I said getting up professor Snape picks up his wand and whispers some unknown words and tells me to sit back down “Mr. Nott pick a time and day” professor Snape said “March 27 at 2:00pm” Nott said I put my head down on the table as the memory begins to form “lord save me now” I whisper
In memory
As we enter the bus I hear Kira say “hate this place” behind me, I laugh a little before taking my place on the bus as we start driving I here miss Abby offering snacks, but I refuse.
Present time
“Miss Parkinson what is your question” professor Snape asked “why exactly are we doing this” she asks “the headmaster believes this will help promote in-house unity” he said “ok you can continue” she said I roll my eyes at this stupid idea but nevertheless continue watching the memory.
In the memory
and just put in my air pods listening to the music for my solo and daydreaming until I feel a tap on my shoulder I look up to see Kalani standing next to me, she takes a seat and “how do you feel” she asks “I feel better but still in a little bit of pain” I said
Present time
I put my head on the in table to drown out the voices and comments of my classmates “there is no possible way that you're a dancer” Parkinson said I stick up a middle finger in responds “can we just continue and get this over with” I said as everyone turns their heads back to the memories
In the memory
“Will you still be able to dance” she asks “yea why” I said “nothing just wanted to check in on you” she said going on her phone I put my air pod back in and went back to daydreaming until I feel the bus stop “ok girls we are here” I heard miss Abby said as we enter the building I look around the place while the man walks us to our dressing room “ok girls I just got word that they are doing duets first then solos and finally groups.
But for the duets we are number 134 so that gives us about an hour to get since here are so many duos performing before you perform” she informed we quickly start changing while the moms set up hair and makeup stations while Maddie and Chloe get ready for their duet while I get ready for my solo?
30 minutes later
I was doing my hair when I hear Melissa and Christi going at it again I roll my eyes and continue to do my makeup until I hear “you think your daughter is so much better than ours bitch” I hear Christi yell and before anyone can say anything the door opens OND the lady tells us time for the duets most of the girls and moms head out.
I stay behind to stretch and mid-stretch my phone goes out as the moms and the girls come in cheering for Maddie and color I turn to the girls and smile at them then look at my phone and roll my eyes and then the lady comes in and tell me that my solo was up first I quickly head toward the stage “entry number 145 beautiful” the announcer said.
I walk on stage ready to leave my heart and my soul I hear the music and started dancing
After my solo I walk of stage and hug kalani “that was beautiful” “thank you” I said “ok let's get ready for group while Maddie performs her solo” she said we run backstage where miss Abby were talking “alright girls it's time for group” my mom hugs me “that solo was beautiful” my mom said “I know” I respond, and we quickly start getting me ready for group.
20 minutes later
After my mom helps me get ready the lady come in and tells us it's time for our group we head towards the stage “entry number 134 amber alert” the announcer said as we head onto the stage I hear the people cheering for us, I get into position and the music starts.

“Ok ladies and gentle men it is time for the awards for the duets rounds and in third place you have entry number231 sugars” the announcers said I clap for the girls “in second place we have entry number 234 diamonds” I clap and start hoping that Maddie and color solo is first place “and in first place we have entry number 153 black swan” the announcer said the girl quickly ran to get there I let out a sigh as the get ready to announce the groups.
“In third place you have entry number 167 lost boys” the announcer said I put my head down praying for a first place win “in second place entry number 239 candies” the announcer said I look up and clap “and in first place entry number 134 amber alert” I quickly get up with the rest of the girls to collect our trophy “what company do you represent” the announcer asked “Abby lee dance company” we yelled “alright time for the solo award” I heard the announcer said I look at the trophy fiddling with the hem of my skirt.
Present time
“There is no way you're going to win this” lavender said, “mm sure” I said.
In the memory
“In third place you have entry number 194 darling” the announcer said I clap for the girl as she collects her trophy “in second place you have entry number 147 soul” the announcer said as Maddie to collect her trophy my heart starts beating faster “and in first place entry number 145 beautiful” the announcer said I quickly ran to collect my trophy smiling and as they handed me the trophy “would you mind telling us what company you compete for” the announcer asked “Abby lee dance company” I said.
After the awards
Maddie, but as we enter the dressing room the moms quickly come and hug us I notice Abby talking to t I didn't pay them any attention and started to change back into my regular clothes along with the other girls until I hear my Jill and Abby going at it again “are not tired of prioritizing Maddie over other girls” gill yells “I don't do that it's not my fault your girl or any if the other girls can't beat Maddie” Abby said.
“Mine has multiple times” my mom said “just admit it you would rather have the girls come last than have someone best your prized girl” Jill yelled as we came out of the changing room Jill grabbed Kendall stuff “come on Kendall were leaving” Jill said walking out with Kendall right behind her, I look at my mom wondering what just happened she shrugs her shoulder and grabs our stuff, and we head out with the rest of the moms.
Present time
“Does that happen a lot” on of the students ask “every single competition” said exaggerating each word.
In the memory
In the bus I opened my phone to see a million messages from Layla I quickly breeze through I roll my eyes and began to daydream again until the bus stopped I quickly took my stuff and headed off the bus and said bye to the other girls and getting into my mom's car to head home.
At the house
As we enter I put my trophy in the case and check the time I drew my attention away from the trophies and grabbed my bag “mom I have to go don't want to miss curfew” I said flicking my wrist towards the doorway creating a portal between the two world “alright darling” I heard my mom yell before leaving.
At Hogwarts
I step out of the portal to see Layla waiting for me “did you win?” she asks “yep” I said as we walked down the hallway “well did you see any of my 200 messages” she said “yes” I said skeptically “why didn't you answer” she asks “I was a bit busy” I said “sure ok” she said as we head into the common room.
“I have no energy for this” I said heading upstairs “I can explain” Ron said grabbing my hand “I don't want one” I said yanking my hand away “fine end of conversation” he yelled “end of relationship” I said heading towards my dorm along with Layla I hug her before heading into my room and going face-first into my bed quickly drifting to sleep.
Present time
“Well that was enlightening to say the least” Professor Snape drawled “any questions for miss granger” Professor Snape said a few hands went flying in the air “you may ask, but they will not be answered” I said “alright well it is time for you to head to your next class” Professor Snape drawled i imidaetly up and head to my next class to avoid any questions this will be a long day I thought.
