Prologue
Dumbledore had just got off an iris-messaging his long-time friend Chiron, where he had got to know about the demigods who were reading about their adventures with their parents, the gods. Chiron had at that time thought about the wizard world that Hecate had created, and how his friend Dumbledore, who was a legacy of Hecate, asked for some help from the demigods. Instead of sending his demigods on another quest half-way around the world, he had thought of inviting them to their reading to provide some inspiration to the students. So currently Dumbledore had asked some members of the Order of the Phoenix and some students to come to his office, carefully hiding from Umbridge. Hecate had gotten this approved by the Olympic Council, where she herself will be going with the demigods, mortals and wizards to read the books.
Hermione was very excited to hear that they will be meeting a new kind of hero, the demigods. She was confused as to how the demigod world, a world that was very similar to theirs was hidden from the wizarding world. But then again, Dumbledore had told them that their worlds were never allowed to mix. There apparently were powerful forces that kept them apart. However, with everything that has been going on in their world, he had requested help from these demigods. They had just finished one of their wars (that also not more than a year before the end of the previous one), and their mentality is not at its best. Therefore, their leader/teacher, who was a centaur named Chiron had invited them to read some books that describe the events that led up to the wars and the wars itself. So, her, and her 2 best friends Harry and Ron, with Ron’s younger sister Ginny and two other members of the DA, Neville and Luna were going with Ron’s family members, Professor McGonagall, Professor Snape, Moody, Remus and Dumbledore. However, she was also concerned about Harry’s mentality after everything that happened in the ministry at the end of last year.
The demigods of Camp Half-blood and Camp Jupiter were invited to Mount Olympus to read about wars. This was suggested by Hestia, as they had the summer council, and since they did not have anything to do, and the gods had agreed (Zeus was reluctant at first but had to agree as the majority of the council wanted it). Then Hecate had come and made the strangest of the requests to involve some people from her pet world. ‘ It sure would be an interesting one ’, thought Hestia.
Percy was grumpy since he wanted to spend the rest of the time at the beach with Annabeth. But when he was told that it was either this or go on another quest, everyone quickly agreed.
After everyone had gathered in the Olympian council room and Hestia suggested they reduce their size to the mortal range to make it better, the introductions began. Hestia calmly introduced the gods (she did not trust them to make any decent introductions, they will only try to compete with each other).
‘Wizards and demigods please introduce yourselves; demigods state your parentage also so that it will be easier for the wizards’.
Percy bowed and stood up, ‘Percy Jackson, Son of Poseidon’.
‘Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena’.
‘Reyna Ramirez, daughter of Bellona’.
The wizards were confused, so Hestia explained to them about the roman equivalents of the Greek gods.
‘Hazel Levesque, daughter of Pluto’.
‘Nico Di Angelo, son of Hades’.
‘Frank Zhang, son of Mars’.
‘Leo McShizzle Valdez’, at this a pretty girl with a feather in her hair, threw a pillow at him, and made him say it properly, ‘Leo Valdez, son of Hephaestus’.
‘Piper McClean, daughter of Aphrodite’.
At this point there was a sudden flash and a letter appeared in the hand of Zeus.
Dear gods, demigods, centaur, wizards, witches and mortals,
When we heard that you will be reading about the adventures and the incidents that led to the second titan war and the second giant war, we felt like there should be some other demigods, who are dead. Therefore, they will be brought back from Elysium or the Isles of the Blest (however, if they have chosen for rebirth, they cannot be brought here).
The fates.
P.S. While the stories are being read, if we feel like there should be others who should listen to this particular part, we shall teleport them there. Therefore, expect the arrival of others.
As soon as Zeus finished reading the letter, there was another flash and some ghosts appeared. The demigods looked like ghosts themselves, as they saw their fallen comrades in front of them standing. Percy felt guilty as he saw some of them. But he also felt happy that they were from Elysium or the Isles of the Blest. The wizards on the other hand, were not surprised by the appearance of the ghosts (Afterall Hogwarts had so many resident ghosts – Hermione would probably know the exact number). They, however, were surprised, as all the ghosts looked so young, as if they were still teenagers. The wizards all wondered what exactly caused them to die. Zeus asked them also to introduce themselves (the deaths will be described in the books, therefore no need to state it in the introduction).
‘Jason Grace, son of Jupiter’.
‘Michael Yew, son of Apollo’
‘Lee Fletcher, son of Apollo’
‘Zoe Nightshade, former lieutenant of Artemis’
‘Phoebe, hunter of Artemis’
‘Beckendorf, son of Hephaestus’.
‘Silena Beauregard, daughter of Aphrodite’. Each Olympian cringed as each of their dead children introduced themselves. The entire throne room was silent for some time.
‘Soo, who are these new people? They do not look like demigods’, said Beckendorf with a smile, trying to diffuse the tension. He tried to make some eye contact with Percy to say that it was alright, but he could not make eye contact (Percy felt it, but he did not want to make the contact).
Hestia introduced the wizards; the new demigods were introduced again to the ‘dead’ people who did not know them and the remaining ones who did not introduce themselves.
‘Travis’, said Connor bowing dramatically wanting to reduce the tension,
‘And Conner, sons of Hermes’, and they were hit with a pillow, from the direction where Percy and Annabeth were seated, and Annabeth said, ‘say your names properly, you idiots, do not confuse them’.
‘How do you recognize them? After all their pranks, I still cannot recognize them’, said Piper.
‘The taller one is Travis, who is older’, said Percy casually. The two Weasley twins were looking at them with their eyes gleaming.
‘Hylla Ramirez, Leader of the Amazons, daughter of Bellona’.
‘Thalia, daughter of Zeus, lieutenant of Artemis’. She could not seem to look at Zoe, who was smiling at her, and it looked with pride. She and Phoebe were both speaking together.
‘Clarisse La Rue, daughter of Ares’.
‘Chris Rodriguez, son of Hermes’.
'Katie, daughter of Demeter’.
‘Calypso’.
Rachel, the present oracle of Delphi’.
Then the wizards started to introduce themselves.
‘Albus Dumbledore, Principle of Hogwarts’.
‘Harry Potter, 6th year student’.
Hermione Granger, 6th year’.
‘Ron Weasley, 6th year’.
‘Ginny Weasley, 5th year’.
‘Neville Longbottom, 6th year’.
‘Luna Lovegood, 5th year’.
‘Molly Weasley’.
‘Arthur Weasley’.
‘Gred’.
‘And Forge Weasley’, said the twins. But they instantly changed it when they saw the look in their mother’s eye.
‘Fred and George Weasley, ex-pranksters of Hogwarts and now have our own joke shop’. The Stolls’ eyes were literally gleaming, while the twins were trying to avoid the look in their mother’s eyes, by looking everywhere but at her, much to the amusement of everyone present there.
‘Man, I think, we are going to have an awesome time with the 2 of you’, said Connor, while the demigods, and the children wizards all groaned.
‘Bill Weasley’.
‘Charlie Weasley’.
‘Alastor Moody, ex-auror’.
‘Remus, former teacher at Hogwarts’. The demigods could no longer keep their laughs in check. They all started giggling,
‘Okay, what is Hog-warts? How are you teaching pig pimples?’ asked Leo, the giggles all turned into full blown out laughter, especially among Percy, Leo and the Stolls. The others were trying to control their laughter, while the wizards blushed.
‘That is the name of our school, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry’, said Dumbledore with a twinkle in his eyes, ‘it was named as such because before the school was built, it was previously a castle filled with pigs, who were used by witches and wizards for experiments’. When the laughter died down the introductions began again.
‘Nymphadora Tonks, auror-in-training’.
‘Severus Snape, teacher of Hogwarts’. There were still silent giggles, but controllable.
‘Minerva McGonagall, teacher at Hogwarts’.
‘Okay then let us start to read’, said Zeus.
‘I will start reading Lord Zeus’, said Annabeth and took the book, and looked at the cover page and the first few pages, ‘oh Percy this is about our first quest together, and the book is in your point of view’. Percy groaned.
