The hospital wing
January five, 1974
12:30 pm
James and Sirius looked in disbelief as they saw Snape and lily cuddling together. That wasn't something just friends did.
As they approached with quiet footsteps they could see how close the two actually were. James's eyebrows furrowed as he stared at the two, He glanced at Sirius who looked to be equally in disbelief.
"Should we do something?" Sirius muttered quietly to James as to not disturb the two fast asleep on the shitty hospital bed. "What would we exactly do Padfoot? We can't exactly disturb them or madam pomfrey will realize that we're here." James says quietly, Glancing at the other gryffindor.
"Should we just let Evans cuddle with him or something?!" Sirius whisper-yelled. James scoffed at the others idiocity. "Believe me, I would want nothing else than to drag Evans off that bed but pomfrey could return any second and she'd take our bloody cloak! Think rationally for once you idiot!" James hissed at Sirius who glared at him, He huffed, knowing James was right but he'd rather let a flobberworm crawl up his arse and die there than to admit James was right.
"But its wor-" Sirius was cut off by Madam Pomfrey entering the hospital wing, James covered his mouth with a look that said 'shut the fuck up because if Madam pomfrey doesn't kill you I will'.
Sirius begrudgingly went silent, giving James the nastyiest glare he could muster. James returned his look before hesitantly removing his hand from Sirius's lips, glancing at madam pomfrey. James groaned quietly to himself. He wanted to stay longer but those plans were clearly ruined.
Annoyed, the Gryffindor dragged the other to the entrance, waiting for someone to open the door. This was gonna take a while...
The great hall
January five 1974

Regulus got up from his seat, he wanted to go see his boyfriend so he quietly packed up his things, excusing himself from the others before he hurriedly slipped out of the great hall. He had seen his brother and well, Potter hastily leaving because they had oh such important things to do than to be stuck in a room with their peers for an hour.
As he walked through the hallways towards the hospital wing he sighed softly, thoughts of Severus getting hurt made his stomach churn. His pace quickened as he neared the hospital wings entrance.
Just as he pushed open the doors open Regulus swore up and down that he felt something brush against him. He shook his head before stepping inside the hospital wing, closing the doors behind him, His eyes softened when he saw Lily and Severus asleep on the bed. He sat down and gently nudged the two awake.
Startled, Severus awoke immediately, he sat up quickly, his eyes scanning the room before landing on the fluffy raven-haired boy besides him. Severus's tense body immediately relaxed. He yawned softly "Oh, hey Reg..." Severus murmured tiredly as he glanced at the other before staring off into the distance, rubbing his eyes, his own black hair tossled and messy, he glanced at the redhead next to him, their legs somehow still entangled.
Lily stirred awake, the light outside hit her angelic face and despite himself, Severus flushed, a pink hue covered his pale cheeks as he looked away from the girl. The sleepy redhead sat up and looked around for a moment before her green eyes landed on Regulus. "Oh... Hey Reg.." She murmured softly before falling back down on the bed behind her.
"You missed a few classes earlier, Lily." Regulus says, his hand reaching into his book bag and pulling out a small notebook he used to take notes, he handed the book over to Severus who scanned the cover with great interest, "Thank you for giving me your notes." Severus whispers, his voice raspy as he flipped open the notebook, reading the contents with great interest.
"You shouldn't even be learning, Sev just get some rest." Lily protested quite vigorously, The older rolled his eyes before once again speaking. "I don't need sleep, I need to learn." Severus murmured his long fingers flipping over the pages, 'What can you learn from being asleep?" Severus asked, glancing up from the book to look at Lily and Regulus.
Lily scoffed, glaring at the other her arms crossed over her chest stubbornly, Severus raised an eyebrow waiting for the redheads answer. "Well-" Lily was cut off by Regulus, "You can learn that not every moment calls for you to learn." He said, reaching out to grab the notebook from Severus.
Severus turned away from Regulus, keeping the book close to him, "That's absolute bulls-" Severus was cut off by Regulus tickling him to get him to release the book, The onyx eyed Slytherin laughed loudly, trying his best to keep the book in his grasp as a pair of hands grabbed onto the book, yanking it out of his grasp.
"Hey- give it back, Lily!" Severus huffs reaching out to grab the book from the very determined redhead who stood up, and ran across the hospital wing to stand in the farthest corner holding the book close to her. Severus glared at the Gryffindor girl who had a smug smile on her face.
"Wipe that smug smile off your face." Severus hissed, the slytherin boy clearly not amused by the Redheads expression, Onyx doe eyes scanned over vibrant green eyes with a look of annoyance clear on his face.
Lily giggled before speaking once more, "I can't help it!" She laughed, her smug smile turning into her signature toothy grin, Despite himself, Severus couldn't help but soften. Lily always knew how to turn the hard headed slytherin into a pile of mush with that look of hers.
Such a shame they won't be living past hogwarts.
