His body limp, lifeless and impossibly tiny in Hagrid's arms.
Ron felt his hold on reality slip away, time slowed and he was trapped in that moment of free fall when you forgot to skip the trick stair and your foot plunged down, only there was no stopping, just an endless void.
He had sacrificed himself, he had given the world everything and left Ron with nothing.
