Severus Snape, fifth year Hogwarts student was so done with everything that this supposed school had allowed to happen to him.
He had finished his OWLS, been hanged upside down and de-bagged in front of everyone, by the supposed prankster group the marauders. Just for existing, for being the school's comedic entertainment. Everybody at the incident had laughed at him with no trousers on!
His only friendship in this cesspit of a learning establishment was ruined beyond repair, due to the debragging prank down by the school’s black lake. Just this past year he had been lured to his attempted murder, by one of the psychopathic marauders. Well at least his parents would not know about this latest ‘prank’. If they did, well his mum would just murder all involved in hurting him, with headmaster Dumbledore the top of the list, his dad would ... .well he didn't know what his dad would do.
Severus was the youngest son of six, he had five older step-brothers and a step sister. All his siblings had gone to good private schools, all paid for by his dad who was smart, rich and a Lebanese.
His dad had a different way of viewing things, mainly because he had become an adopted member of the Snape family. The Snape family were Assassins and thieves. All his siblings and adopted cousins had gone to good academic private muggle school’s and then to either the Assassin academy or the Thieves academy of Ankh Morpork.
Severus had known since he had started having fits of accidental magic, that Hogwarts was the only school he could or would be allowed to go to. When he was growing up he day dreamed of how good it would be to attend Hogwarts. How he would make friends easily, and that his and his ex-best friend Lily friendship would just get stronger. Now five years later, he knew he had been screwed the first time he had sat with Lily in their train compartment, he just had to get through the next two years and then disappear from this insane world, their blood purity and snobbishness. The Victorian era rules and customs that the magic world still followed, and the civil war that was beginning to tear through the magic world and its prominent families.
It was while Severus was thanking all the Gods above and below, that his parents and especially his dad didn’t know what had happened to him. That his boyfriend Regulus Black the younger son of Lord Black entered his and Harry’s (his best friend)dormitory and proceeded to tell him that Sluggie their head of house had contacted all the parents of everyone involved in the debagging incident down by the black lake. Severus wasn’t particularly worried, hopefully his step brothers would be able to hide the letter from his parents. After all he may hate this sh*t hole, but he didn’t want anybody dead by his parents for previous incidents. Oh how little did Severus realise that in any situation hope dies first, and reality comes in with a bang\! Because Regulus like everybody else had not realised that, it wasn’t just the parents of the pupils involved who had been contacted, but the head of the families themselves.
For Severus this would not only include his parents, but his Great Aunt Rosemary the matriarch of the family and the second in command or Lord Vetrinari the patrician of Ankh Morpork and the most accomplished Patrician, politician, and assassin the Disc World had known. But most importantly for the Snape family it’s seneschal, whose advice their matriarch always considered and acted upon. Where Severus dad was excitable in dealing with family situations, especially when it concerned all his children, Great Aunt Rosemary and Lord Vetriniari were the total opposite.
If Severus had known who was invited to the actual meeting to discuss the lake incident. Then Severus would have known that the least and most unlikely outcome was that he would be changing schools, for himself. Regulus and his best friend Harry.
