Corsage
It had been a week since Minho had asked Felix to the Yule Ball, and also a week since his friends hadn't stopped teasing him about it—relentlessly. Felix found himself wondering yet again, with friends like these, who needed enemies?
The teasing would grow even louder when Felix and Minho had some sort of interaction. Which apparently grew by ten fold when Minho decided that he was going to start sitting with Felix and his friends for all their meals.
His presence on the table had been so unannounced, it had almost made Felix let out a terrified scream.
Felix had been quietly sipping his noodle soup, Seungmin seated across from him as they waited for the others to join them. Sensing a presence settling beside him, Felix leaned into it, assuming it was Jisung, and began venting about Snape and his hatred for Defense Against the Dark Arts.
"I can help you out with that if you want, y’know?" Minho's unexpected voice startled Felix out of his seat.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you,” Minho chuckled and then patted the now empty seat beside him—as if inviting Felix to sit next to him—as if he hadn’t already been sitting there.
Felix gingerly took his seat there as Seungmin said, “Merlin knows just exactly how much tutoring he needs for DADA.”
“I can tutor you,” Minho offered, leaning slightly toward Felix.
“No, it’s okay, thank you,” Felix declined, vigorously shaking his head before shooting a glare at Seungmin, who simply raised his arms in surrender.
“Alright,” Minho shrugged, then turned the upside-down plate around to face him, signaling that he was ready for his meal. In an instant, his meal, which appeared to be a bowl of the same noodle soup Felix was eating, materialized with a pop.
Felix turned to Seungmin with wide eyes, silently questioning if this meant Minho would be joining them for dinner.
As if sensing their thoughts, Minho turned to them and asked, “You don’t mind me sitting here for dinner, right?”
“That's Jisung’s sea—” Seungmin began.
“No,” Felix quickly interjected, “Of course, we don’t mind.”
“I can move,” Minho offered, beginning to rise, but Felix placed his hands on Minho’s shoulders.
“Stay,” Felix insisted.
“Are you sure I’m not imposing?” Minho asked, a hint of red coloring his ears. Felix couldn’t help but smile at that.
“Not at all,” Felix assured him. “Jisung can sit on the other side.” He patted the seat opposite him.
“Okay,” Minho relented before turning his attention to his bowl of soup.
Felix glanced down at his plate and noticed the similarity between his meal and Minho’s. It confused him because he usually made special requests to the House Elves for each meal, something that wasn’t common among students. Call him spoiled, but Felix couldn’t stomach British cuisine anymore. He then glanced at Seungmin’s plate, which held a typical British roast.
Turning his attention back to Minho’s bowl of noodle soup, Felix couldn’t help but ask, “Why are you eating the same dish as me?”
Felix wondered if such a direct question had come out rude because Minho paused mid-bite, his chopsticks hovering in the air, before letting out an awkward chuckle. “I asked the Elves to serve me the same thing they prepared for you.”
"Oh," Felix breathed out, turning slowly to face Seungmin, who was doing his utmost to look elsewhere.
"Why?" Felix couldn’t help but ask, his curiosity piqued.
"Let's just say…” Minho's lips curved into a faint smile. “I'm interested."
Felix felt a blush creeping up his cheeks as he remembered the exact same phrase Minho had used just about a week ago.
“Oh,” Felix murmured, shyly averting his gaze to the table.
Before long, the remaining members of their friend group arrived in the Great Hall. Across the room, he noticed Jeongin’s smirk as he saw how close Felix and Minho were seated. Hyunjin's eyes sparkled with excitement as he settled across from the elder Ravenclaw. Jisung greeted them with a friendly smile before joining them at the table. Felix was relieved to see Jisung's normal reaction, but his relief quickly faded when he began nudging Felix's shoulder in an annoying manner.
"Nice to meet you," Hyunjin said eagerly, leaning over with excitement evident in his voice.
Minho returned his greetings before asking, "Is this the guy you mentioned who would start a fan club for me?"
"Yep, that's Hyunjin," Felix replied, smirking at the thought of Hyunjin's reaction to that. He expected Hyunjin to feel embarrassed, but instead, the gleam in his eyes only intensified.
Leaning in even further—practically over the table—Hyunjin said, "I could! With your permission. The fan club would go around hexing people in your name."
Minho's expression turned deadpan. "That sounds very much like an evil cult," he remarked, leaning back slightly from Hyunjin.
It was at that second where Felix wondered if he should be worried about Minho meeting his unusual friends. But it looked like he didn’t have to worry long because Minho suddenly turned to Felix with a wide grin. Distracting him from his thoughts and making him swoon to be directed with such a beautiful smile.
"Felix said he would've been the first one to join the fan club though," Minho said.
Felix’s expression quickly shifted to a scowl when he heard him say that.
“I knew I could trust my boy!” Hyunjin exclaimed before holding his hand up as if he was expecting a high-five from him. But Felix was too busy staring at his food in embarrassment.
“Weirdos,” Jisung said subtly, trying to hide what he said with a cough. But all of them heard it loud and clear.
Hyunjin glared at him before haughtyly stating, “Felix would follow me anywhere.”
Before Felix could say anything to get Hyunjin to lay off, Seungmin whacked him on the head. Making him extremely grateful that Seungmin was at least there to help him out.
“You would?” Minho pointedly asked.
“No, I wouldn’t,” Felix scoffed and rolled his eyes at Hyunjin.
Hyunjin began to yell at Seungmin for hitting him, Jisung somehow joined in on the banter too. So, Minho’s hushed words went almost unnoticed when he said, “That’s good, otherwise I would get quite jealous.”
“Of Hyunjin?” Felix asked.
Minho hummed in affirmation, shooting a quick grin at the younger before going back to eating his noodle soup again.
Felix felt his skin flush with heat, his heart pounding so hard it almost hurt, and his stomach doing somersaults at Minho's admission. He was immensely relieved that none of the others seemed to have heard, but then he noticed Jeongin smiling devilishly at him.
"Not. A. Word," Felix silently mouthed to Jeongin, who only grinned wider in response.
Maybe he should make enemies, perhaps they might be nicer to Felix then his friends.

Of course, Jeongin wasted no time in sharing the exchange between Minho and Felix with everyone. In retaliation, Felix promptly transfigured Jeongin's bed into a bed of spikes.
"Are you trying to kill me?!" Jeongin yelped in dismay.
"Yes," Felix retorted, then hopped onto his own bed after changing into his comfortable PJs. "Too bad it won't hurt. Apparently, you can still be fine lying on it for some reason."
"There's actually a Muggle Physics concept that explains wh—" Jisung started to explain.
"I don't care!" Jeongin interjected, cutting off Jisung's lecture. "I just want my damn bed back."
"Figure it out yourself," Felix shrugged, settling into his own comfy bed with the comfiest mattress.
"Felix!" Jeongin protested.
“Shouldn’t have gone around telling everyone about what happened in the Great hall then,” Felix remarked. “Let this be a lesson.”
Jeongin fumed for a second before saying, “you would have told my secret to the four of them too.”
“Yeah,” Felix chuckled because he really was the biggest hypocrite of them all. “I would have.”
Because, at the end of the day, it had always been the five of them—Hyunjin, Jisung, Felix, Seungmin, and Jeongin. They wouldn't go as far as to call themselves brothers, knowing it might be quite unsettling for the romantic duos within the group, but they were all more than just friends. They were deeply connected, able to interpret each other's thoughts without a word. Even Jisung and Hyunjin—who constantly fought, bickered, and sent each other exaggerated threats—were capable of understanding each other like no one else. No detail was left out amongst the five of them; they told each other everything, from their deepest secrets to the most mundane aspects of their daily life like what they had eaten for breakfast if one or the other had missed out on it. There were no secrets between them; even the most private conversations they had with others found their way back to the group. They leaned on each other for support, bound by a trust that ran deeper than any other relationship they could imagine.
“Fuck you,” Jeongin cussed, snapping Felix out of this thoughts. “Turn it back now!”
“Only after you say sorry,” Felix said playfully.
“Sorry,” Jeongin replied, without a hint of remorse. “Now, turn it back.”
“Nope,” Felix laughed. “That wasn’t genuine enough.”
“You fucker,” Jeongin yelled. “Fine! I will just sleep in Seungmin’s bed today. Might even be better for me.”
Felix sat up and watched as Jeongin climbed onto Seungmin’s bed, sticking his tongue out, teasing Felix.
"Wasn’t it Seungmin who told you all about what I did in my Animagus form that day at the library?" Felix inquired.
“Umm…” Jeongin didn’t choose to respond.
But Jisung knew exactly what Felix was about to attempt, because he loudly said, “yes, that was Seungmin.”
Jeongin hurriedly jumped off the bed as Felix yet again turned another bed into a bed of spikes.
“Jisung!” Jeongin whined. “He almost killed me! Again!”
Jisung was too busy laughing, trying his best to say in between laughs that the spikes wouldn’t hurt Jeongin.
It was at that moment that Seungmin entered the room. He hadn’t noticed the state of his bed as he approached Felix with an amused smile—setting off alarm bells in Felix's mind, making him instantly alert for whatever Seungmin had to state.
"What's up?" Felix asked.
"Minho's still at the library studying," Seungmin informed. And that had become a thing too, where each and every single one of them had decided that it was their responsibility to inform exactly what Minho was up to as soon as they spotted him. It could be anything from 'he was eating jam and butter toast for breakfast' to 'he was reading the Herbology textbook in the library' or 'he was playing chess with Chan and Changbin in the Great Hall after supper'.
Felix quickly cast the tempus spell and widened his eyes when he saw it was nearing 2 AM. "He's going to be exhausted tomorrow morning."
"He didn't seem like he was planning to leave anytime soon," Seungmin added, a spark of mischief glinting in his eyes, as if he was thoroughly enjoying the unfolding scenario, almost as if he only needed a box of popcorn to munch on to complete the scene. However, studying in the library late at night shouldn’t warrant such a reaction from him.
Felix regarded him warily before pressing, "Alright, why are you actually telling me this, Seungmin?"
"I have a feeling he's pulling an all-nighter at the library," Seungmin disclosed with a smirk. "And guess who he's studying with? All alone?"
"Who?" Felix inquired, noticing how Seungmin had emphasized those last two words very purposefully.
“Bang Chan,” Seungmin stated and Felix was already off the bed before he had even finished saying that name.
He quickly took off his pajamas and changed into his school robes.
As Felix's crush on Minho intensified, he discovered something very unsettling—Bang Chan and Lee Minho shared an exceptionally close bond.
So close that it sparked rumors.
With some saying that they were secretly dating or some saying that they were pining for each other. Felix had even overheard Changbin making shipping jokes about the two. And that stirred some crazy negative emotions inside Felix that he didn’t even know he would have ever possessed.
“Are you going to the library then?” Seungmin asked with a cheeky smile.
“Yeah, have an exam for transfiguration tomorrow, right?” Felix asked. “Gotta brush up on some concepts.”
“Liar!” Jeongin snickered loudly and that’s exactly when Seungmin turned around to face his boyfriend, so he could laugh along with him. But he stopped mid-laugh and let out a loud screech as he looked at the state of the two beds.
“Lee Felix!” Seungmin screamed. “What did you do?!”
Felix was out of the room before Seungmin could cast any of those slug vomiting spells on him.
He ran to the library, moving as fast as he could while also trying to remain as inconspicuous as possible, given the strict rules against students wandering the halls after midnight. It was a very confusing rule, especially considering that the library remained open 24/7 for students to study through the night if they wanted to. However, for some reason they weren’t allowed to roam the hallways after midnight. Hogwarts didn’t make any sense at all.
And it irked him how much Minho would do that almost on a daily basis. Cooped up in the library for hours on end—it wasn't that Felix found his studious nature weird. No, it was the constant presence of Bang Chan along with Minho during those study sessions that irked him. Seo Changbin would be there too, but it was mostly Chan tagging along with Minho.
Bang Chan, with his glorious blond locks, his glorious chiseled physique, the glorious champion representing Hogwarts for the Triwizard Tournament with his glorious win in the first competition where he had oh so gloriously blinded a dragon.
Everyone found him to be veryyyy….what was the word, again? FuckingGlorious.
At first, Felix had also found him to be one of the most impressive wizards. But now he just finds him to be gloriously awful.
When he had first heard the rumors that Minho and Chan could probably be dating on the down-low, Felix had chewed out his quill in frustration.
“They’re just extremely close friends, Lix,” Jisung had pointed out. He was trying his best to reassure Felix that there was nothing between the two, or if there was, then Minho wouldn’t have asked Felix to the Yule Ball.
And Felix had tried his very best to trust his friend's assurances, but it proved nearly impossible when he saw just how close the two were. They were often seen leaning into each other, Chan's arm consistently draped over Minho's shoulders as they walked—though they would also do the same with Changbin. But, consumed by jealousy, all Felix could see was the closeness with which Chan clung to Minho.
“We used to be really close friends too,” Jeongin said as he pointed between himself and Seungmin. “But now look at what we are.” He was trying to put more fuel into the already huge fire burning inside Felix and he added even more fuel by kissing Seungmin right on the lips in front of Felix, before leaning away and smirking.
"Do you think they're both pining over each other like lovesick fools, just like you two were before one of you finally cracked and proposed?" Felix asked in a ramble, a hint of anxiety in his tone because that’s exactly what had occurred to the boyfriends in their group.
Both of them had harbored this intense sexual tension between them for years but never acted on it, until Jeongin had finally snapped and outright asked for Seungmin’s hand in marriage, skipping the first base, the dating phase, altogether. And Seungmin, the weirdo he was, had joyfully accepted it, without even ever having exchanged a single kiss with the other ever before. They even bought a ring for each other the following summer. But Felix supposed that they were all a bit weird in their own ways—Jisung referring to the person he loved as his arch-nemesis and Hyunjin resorting to sending death threats to his crush. As for Felix, he found himself completely infatuated with a student simply because of how passionately he had cussed out the Eagle Knocker—which Felix had personally deemed as his own arch-nemesis.
"I highly doubt it," Hyunjin responded. "Minho doesn’t strike me as the type to pine over someone he loves. He seems more like the kind of person who would express his feelings openly to the person he's interested in."
And Felix couldn’t even tell if that was correct or not, because, truthfully, it had only been a week since he had met the elder Ravenclaw.
However, Minho had been remarkably straightforward when he had asked Felix to the dance. He wasn’t subtle about his interest in Felix at all. He was so intentional and purposeful that he was basically highlighting his interest in Felix in bold.
And even if they all supposed that Minho didn’t have feelings for Chan. None of them had a single clue where Chan’s feelings fell.
All in all, Felix just didn’t like this situation at all.
He walked into the library and headed toward Minho's usual spot. He paused as he spotted the two of them clustered together, engrossed in the same textbook, with parchments and quills scattered haphazardly across the table. They were sitting so close together that their shoulders were even touching. And Felix couldn’t help but notice that it was just the two of them, there was no Changbin in sight.
The same awfully negative feeling spurred in Felix’s chest again as he watched the two.
Felix briefly contemplated transforming into a cat again to approach Minho, but he quickly dismissed the idea and simply walked over to the two of them. They were sitting so close together that Felix wished he could just rip them apart. Or even invent a spell whereby the two would always remain at least 5 feet apart.
Minho must have sensed Felix approaching because he immediately looked up and smiled, “Hi, Felix.”
“Hey,” Felix said, smiling back.
But the smile on his face immediately disappeared when Chan looked up and greeted him as well. Not wanting to seem rude, Felix still managed to say, “hullo.”
“What brings you here?” Minho asked as he gestured to the empty seat across from him, motioning Felix to take a seat.
“I was just brushing up on some concepts,” Felix lied as he sat down before looking back at him. “I have a Transfiguration exam tomorrow,”
Although, technically, he wasn’t lying about the exam tomorrow. There really was one tomorrow.
“You need to brush up on some Transfiguration concepts?” Chan asked incredulously, making Felix realize that his prowess in that subject might have even reached the upperclassman in Hogwarts.
Minho nudged Chan, silently telling him to lay off, but Felix asked, “I—yeah, why?”
"It's just that Professor McGonagall talks about you in class a lot," Chan explained. "Always using the things you've done as examples."
Felix couldn't help but feel a swell of pride in his chest. "All good examples, I hope?"
"Yeah, all exceptional examples that most of us struggle to replicate," Chan said. "Even Minho has attempted to replicate your spells numerous times but hasn't succeeded with some of them."
Minho let out a soft cough before awkwardly averting his gaze.
Felix preened with satisfaction.
"I can help you out with that if you want, y’know?" Felix said, repeating the same phrase Minho had used at the Great Hall earlier in the day.
And unlike being completely opposed to the idea like Felix had been, Minho nodded before softly saying, “I would love that.”
And well, Felix didn’t know how to answer that because he just wasn’t expecting that response.
Chan chuckled as it appeared that the two had been staring at each other for quite some time.
Feeling awkward, Felix shifted his gaze away and focused on their textbook, a Herbology book, before asking, "So, what are you two studying for?"
They exchanged a silent glance, seemingly debating whether to share what they were doing with Felix or not.
“It’s Chan’s call if he wants to tell you or not,” Minho said as soon as they had stopped looking at each other. And well, that increased Felix’s curiosity so much that even if they didn’t tell him, he would try his utmost to figure it out. Felix looked down at the page they had opened to and saw they were studying some sort of a water plant.
"Well, I know Minho trusts you a lot," Chan said. Felix glanced up at them, a warmth spreading through him at the thought of Minho's trust on him. There was a small part of him that acknowledged that he would have trusted Minho with his own secrets too, though he couldn't quite explain why he felt so trusting towards him already. "So, I suppose I can just tell you."
Felix nodded eagerly and leaned over the table, drawing himself as close as possible to the two, eager to learn the secret they were sharing. He could have uttered something like "you don't have to," but it would have felt fake and unnecessary when he genuinely wanted to know. While he would have respected their privacy if it had been an individual secret, the fact that Minho was in on Chan's secret ignited a sense of jealousy within Felix, compelling him to be in on it as well.
“We’re researching what I should do for my second task for the Triwizard Tournament,” Chan answered. “All we know so far is that it will involve me doing something underwater.”
Felix looked at Minho for confirmation for some reason, as if asking Minho if Chan was lying. Minho simply nodded, not taking eyes off Felix once.
“So, you’re researching underwater seaweed?” Felix asked as he looked down at the page they were on.
They both looked down at the textbook too and laughed.
“Kinda?” Minho said.
“We’re trying to figure out what magic I could use to be able to breathe underwater for a long period of time,” Chan said. “We think there might be some herb or plant that could help with that.”
“Ahh, I see,” Felix nodded, before adding, “good luck.”
“Thank you,” Chan grinned before closing the textbook.
Chan looked between the two of them before raising off his seat.
“Well, I’ve looked around for a pretty long time now,” Chan said before quickly casting the tempus charm. “And would you look at that time! I guess I will just come back to the library again tomorrow to continue my research.”
He then looked pointedly at Minho, smirking as he said, “you two can talk though, I will leave now.”
Minho flushed before lightly punching Chan and softly wording out, “you fucker.”
But Felix heard that loud and clear and actually blushed at that. What was it about Minho swearing that Felix found so incredibly charming?
It wasn’t long before Chan had left them sitting awkwardly at the table—he had even taken all the parchment and quills along with him too, so there really wasn’t anything for them to fiddle with as they sat there.
Minho was the first to break the awkward silence as he suddenly asked, “do you know what prom is?”
“I don’t,” Felix replied.
“It’s a Muggle term for the dance they have in their schools,” Minho said. “It’s actually an American concept, not British, but some British schools partake in it too.”
"That's interesting" Felix remarked, recalling that Minho was a Muggle-born and likely had a wealth of knowledge about Muggle affairs that Felix could hardly ever know of.
This prospect excited Felix. Usually, he relied on Jisung to satisfy his curiosity about the Muggle world. However, even Jisung, despite having a Muggle Mother, lacked extensive knowledge about Muggle customs, having been primarily raised in a wizarding environment with his Father instead.
Minho smiled at Felix before elaborating, "Typically, for prom, the man presents his date with a corsage before heading to the dance together."
"What's a corsage?" Felix inquired.
"It's like a bracelet, but instead of metal or fabric, it's composed of a small bouquet of flowers," Minho clarified.
"Real flowers?" Felix leaned in closer to Minho, captivated by the topic. Minho seemed to notice Felix's fascination, as his eyes sparkled.
"Yes, real flowers," Minho confirmed with a nod.
“Wow, what happens to it after the dance?” Felix asked. “Does the person who received it keep it with them forever? Do Muggles have some sort of preserving mechanisms or something?”
“They unfortunately don’t—I mean they could dry the flowers and keep it like that, but they can’t preserve the flowers forever,” Minho explained sadly. “But I don’t think even wizards can preserve the flowers forever.”
“I certainly would place some sort of preservation charms on it,” Felix said. “So I can keep it for as long as possible.”
Minho chuckled before asking, “would you like it if I gave you one before the Ball?”
“A corsage?” Felix clarified, feeling the familiar warmth spreading his cheeks again.
Minho nodded.
"I would love it," Felix replied with enthusiasm. "Do you want one too?"
Minho's eyes widened in surprise, as if he wasn’t expecting to be asked that. A grin spread across his face as he explained, "usually, it's just one person who receives it.”
Urging Minho to ignore the tradition, Felix pressed on, "But do you want one?"
Minho's blush became more pronounced as he nodded, whispering, "I would love to."
"Great," Felix leaned back in his chair, a smile lighting up his face. “I will get you one too, then.”
“You’re wearing a navy blue robe right? I will get you a blue corsage to match with it,” Minho said after a moment.
“No,” Felix shook his head, making Minho raise his eyebrow questioningly. “Get me a green one to match with your outfit.”
"But then it won't match your outfit," Minho countered.
"Didn't you mention that green and blue would complement each other perfectly?" Felix reminded him.
Minho nodded, prompting Felix to add, "So I want a corsage that will complement your outfit and wear it on my wrist."
Minho's blush deepened as he replied, "Then get me a blue one to match yours."
"Of course," Felix agreed with a smile.
______________________________________________________________________
It wasn’t long before they were walking back to the Ravenclaw Towers. Felix wondered whether to just enjoy the comfortable silence or disrupt it by voicing the question that had been gnawing at him for sometime.
Minho could probably sense that Felix wanted to say something, he kept on looking back at the younger with an expectant expression. However, he didn’t press Felix to speak, remaining quiet and allowing Felix to voice his thoughts whenever he wanted to.
Finally, Felix relented and asked, “Do you and Bang Chan have something going on?”
Minho halted in his steps, turning to face Felix with wide eyes. Felix immediately regretted posing the question.
But instead of reacting negatively, Minho let out a hearty laugh before clarifying, “No, we don’t have anything going on.”
Felix’s heart felt a little relieved at the statement but he still said, “it’s just that there’s this rumor going around that the two of you are secretly dating.”
Instead of answering Felix back, Minho looked almost disgusted and started to gag.
Minho straightened himself before stating, “I can assure you that the two of us have nothing going on. He’s more like a brother.”
“Really?” Felix asked. “But I overheard Changbin making these shipping jokes—”
“Changbin finds those rumors hilarious and fuels it more,” Minho rolled his eyes. “But I can assure you that I’m only interested in just one person and that is certainly not Bang Chan.”
Felix let out a sigh of relief before leaning a bit closer and asking, “who is that one person?”
Minho bit back a smile as he looked at Felix and asked, “don’t you already know?”
“I want to hear you say it out loud,” Felix said softly.
The pretty blush was back on Minho’s face and Felix wishes he could see that everyday.
“You,” Minho whispered so softly that Felix was only able to hear it because of how close they were standing.
Their proximity made it easy for Felix's gaze to drift downward, fixating on Minho’s lips. He gently bit his own lip, imagining the softness of the elder’s lips. The desire to touch him was so strong.
Unable to resist, Felix raised his hand, and began to delicately trace the contour of Minho’s bottom lip with his fingertip. Minho's lip parted in surprise, emitting a soft gasp, yet he remained still, allowing Felix to explore.
“Soft,” Felix murmured after a moment.
In response, Minho raised his own hand, ready to return the gesture. However, their intimate moment was abruptly interrupted by the most irritating and jarring voice that Felix has ever heard since he first stepped foot in Hogwarts.
"Where do Vanished Objects go?" the Eagle Knocker asked, in its gravelly tone that grated on Felix's nerves like nails on a chalkboard.
Felix wanted so badly to just turn around and kick the Eagle when he felt Minho take a step away from him.
“I seriously hate that damn Eagle,” Minho groaned and Felix couldn’t be happier to know that his hatred was shared.
"Ever since you mentioned blowing it up, I've been scheming ways to do terrible things to it," Felix confessed with a wry smile.
"Terrible things?" Minho repeated, turning to face Felix with a quizzical expression. "What devious ideas are brewing in that head of years?"
"I'm still in the brainstorming phase," Felix admitted, realizing he hadn't revisited the idea since that first day in the library, he had been too busy with his crush on the elder man, that he had simply forgotten about it. "But it'll definitely involve Transfiguration."
"Well, let me know when you figure it out," Minho replied with a chuckle, his confidence in Felix's scheming abilities bringing a swell of pride to Felix's chest.
"I'll keep it a surprise," Felix declared with a mischievous glint in his eye.
"Where do Vanished Objects go?" the Eagle Knocker repeated, interrupting the students' conversation yet again.
Felix let out a frustrated groan. "I'm terrible at solving riddles," he admitted sheepishly, but feeling comfortable enough to share that with Minho. The elder didn’t seem to be the type to be judgemental about it, and he wasn’t.
Minho shrugged and offered a sympathetic smile. "I struggle with some of its riddles too. It would be easier if we just had a password like the other Houses."
"Exactly," Felix agreed, feeling relieved that Minho understood his frustration. “Other Houses have it much easier.”
Minho agreed before turning back to the Knocker, deep in thought as he contemplated the riddle aloud, "’Where do Vanished Objects go?’”
"I suppose it would still be somewhere on Earth," Felix suggested.
Minho nodded in agreement. "And just vanished objects, right? It’s probably a place where living beings can't venture," he added thoughtfully.
"Well reasoned," The Eagle Knocker chimed in approvingly before opening the door for them.
Minho and Felix exchanged a high-five, sharing a moment of triumph, before stepping into the Ravenclaw Tower.
