Chapter 10
As Strange led them into the cafeteria, the people from the past couldn’t be helped but be amazed at what they saw. Outside the windows cars flew in the air, and the magicals were surprised when they saw some people out there doing magic in plain view of everybody, with no one batting an eye. James even spotted what seemed to be several American Aurors based on their uniforms paired with Muggle Police.
“We thought you would be hungry, so we made you favorites.” a cafeteria worker says from the wall, and the past Avengers frown as they saw their favorite foods on the tables “How did you know our favorite foods?” Natasha asks.
“Well we’ve been working here long enough to know theirs, so we figured you’d be the same.” one worker says, indicating a door when the Avengers of 2047 appear.
“They look completely stunned.” Tarantula snickers, causing the 2017 era people to snap out of it.
“Ok, what the hell.” Harley says, staring at the future variants of themselves in stunned disbelief.
“What, stunned how we all look this good thirty years into the future?” Arsenal smirks, Dumbledore looking out the window.
“So you’ve brought us thirty years into the future.” Dumbledore hums.
“Mind telling us how this is possible?” William asks
“Ok, Pete you’re the nerd here, so break this down for them.” Arsenal says.
Spider-Man steps up, a holographic image appearing on his gauntlet to the whole room “This wonderful little device here is what brought you all to the future. It took us years to make this, and it only worked when we had the geniuses from the known galaxy and magic combined together to create this. Both from the Sorcerers of Kamal-Taj and the Wizarding World. And yes we know about your magical world, you guys were exposed around 2025.” Spider-Man tells the Magicals, who look startled at the news.
“So those were American Aurors working with your Muggle Police.” James says, Spiderman nodding at his words.
“So why do all this? Why go through this trouble? I assume you just didn’t want to show the future to us.” Toni says.
“Sit down.” Arsenal says, indicating the tables.
“You see, when Loki attacked New York City, he wasn’t the big bad. Someone else was pulling the strings and controlling him.” Xavier says, wheeling into the room with Magneto a few steps behind him “I’m sorry, who are you?” Steve asks.
“This is Charles Xavier, leader of the X-Men and the reason you all will be able to see your past and future. And besides him is Magneto, my-our father.” Scarlet Witch says, both her and Quicksilver looking at their past selves.
Wanda’s eyes widened as she took in the sight of her father “This… this can’t be real,” she whispered, her voice trembling. “How is this possible?”
Pietro, standing beside her, clenched his fists. “Who are these people? And why should we trust them?” His gaze darted between Xavier, Magneto, and the future Avengers, suspicion etched on his face.
Scarlet Witch stepped forward, her expression softening. “I know it’s a lot to take in, but we’re here to help you understand. To show you the truth.”
Wanda shook her head, still in disbelief. “But… our father?”
Quicksilver nodded. “Yes, it’s true. And there’s so much more you need to know.”
“Back to Loki.” Toni says
“The real mastermind behind everything was Thanos, a genocidal maniac who has only one goal in mind, to kill half of everyone in the entire universe.” Xavier says, the past Avengers staring at each other in horror at the thought.
“Thanos in your time is after the Infinity Stones, Time, Reality, Space, Power, Soul and Mind stones. With all six of them, he can wipe out half of everything in the universe with a single snap of his fingers.” Xavier finishes.
“Did we stop him?” Steve asks.
“We did, but we all paid a price. We lost several people along the way, and others were too broken to go on.”
“So that’s why you brought us here, to stop him before any of us die.” Sam says
“Yes and no, this might be terrifying to you but Thanos is not even the worse we’ve gone up against. We’ve gone against far more powerful and evil Villains than Thanos since his death.” Arsenal says “Before you leave here we will give you a file, data on all known Villains and heroes.” Arsenal says before a small child ran into the room.
“Daddy, May stuck Noah to the wall again!” the little girl yells, throwing herself into Arsenal’s arms.
Wanda stares at the child clinging to Arsenal, her eyes wide with shock. “Is that…?” she asks, not daring to get her hopes up.
“Olivia,” Scarlet Witch whispers, her voice barely audible. “She’s our daughter, our youngest actually. The boys should be around here somewhere.”
Henry, sitting beside Wanda, looked equally stunned. “Our daughter?” he echoes, his mind racing to process the revelation. “How is this possible?”
Quicksilver smirks. “Well, you see, when two people love each other very much—”
“Pietro,” Scarlet Witch scolds.
Arsenal sighed, turning to Olivia. “Why did May stick your brother to the wall?”
“Because he was being a douchebag,” Olivia says innocently, causing Quicksilver to snort.
“Where did you hear that word?” Scarlet Witch demands.
“Daddy and Uncle Harley. I heard them call the Punisher a psychotic douchebag to his face last time he was around.”
Scarlet Witch shot her husband and brother-in-law a stern look.
“Come on, Olivia, let’s go get your brother off the wall,” Spider-Man said, leading his niece away.
“Yes, tell your daughter to stop sticking my son to the walls,” Arsenal called after him, while past Peter looked stunned upon hearing he had a daughter.
“So, is Noah our son?” Wanda asked.
Scarlet Witch nodded. “Yes, we actually have three other boys. They should be around here somewhere.”
“Anyways, we should introduce you to the other Avengers.”
Miles stepped forward first. “I’m Miles, also known as Shadow-Spider.”
Next was MJ. “I’m MJ, or Spider-Woman.”
Gwen followed with a confident smile. “I’m Gwen, MJ’s wife, but you can call me Ghost Spider.”
Kaine nodded curtly. “I’m Kaine, also known as Tarantula.”
Finally, Ben stepped up. “And I’m Ben, or Scarlet Spider.” “You guys already know Miles, MJ, and Gwen,” Arsenal began, then hesitated, looking awkward. “But Ben and Kaine are actually…”
“We’re your clones,” Kaine finishes, turning to face the past Peter.
Peter’s eyes widened in shock. “Clones? How is that even possible?”
Natasha crosses her arms, her gaze shifting between Ben and Kaine. “Clones, huh? The Future just keeps getting more interesting.”
Harley and Henry’s eyes dart from their brother to the clones, trying to find similarities
Steve frowned, trying to process the information. “So, they’re… you, but not you?”
Ben nodded. “Yeah, it’s complicated.”
Wanda looked at Peter with concern. “Are you okay?”
Peter took a deep breath, nodding slowly. “Yeah, just… trying to wrap my head around all of this.”
“So, while Spider-Man is trying to wrangle the kids, how about we finish lunch and begin the next movie?” Ghost Spider asks, getting some agreements from everyone
