The Vortex

It was soon to be Harry's fifth year at Hogwarts, and anxiety gnawed at him like never before. The vague and scarce letters from Ron and Hermione did little to ease his worries, and the Dursleys' relentless abuse only deepened his sense of isolation. He felt alone and stuck, unsure of what to do as the new school year approached.The turning point came on a night that began like many others but quickly spiraled into chaos. After a harrowing attack by Dementors, Harry was thrust into an unexpected and mysterious adventure. A vortex of wind and energy had appeared, and from it, a pink-haired boy was thrown into Harry's world. The boy's sudden arrival was shocking, but it also brought a strange sense of hope.

This rewrite will not be exactly like the book but will be my own fanfic of it. I may exclude some things and add new context, so do not be mad if I miss details. One such thing I will be changing will be the main character's ages. I will be aging the characters up by two years, making them 17-18.
