Dear diary, France was fine, I suppose… I couldn’t really focus much on the trip, and I have to say, unfortunately, travelling with Lucy and Cissy was… well, it could have been worse, I think.
Lucy and Cissy wanted to accompany us to France because it’s the place of origin for the Malfoy family, and even the Blacks have history here. They have several properties in this country, but Cissy only wanted to visit the fashion and beauty shops in the magical side. Lucy dedicated himself to taking us to parties with people of high political, social, and economic power.
In other words, boring!
It wasn’t until the Lovegoods arrived that things improved. It’s clear that Lucy cares about Xeno and, in his own way, wanted to show his appreciation by introducing him to the rest of his family and important people. Let’s just say that between Dad, Julius, and I, we managed to prevent a disaster…
I really don’t want to talk about it, but it was super tiring… Xeno’s robe was fuchsia with orange moons, Pandy wore a dress that looked a lot like an aubergine, and with her skin having lighter patches in some areas, she looked quite interesting. Luna wore a light blue dress I gave her (thankfully), but she refused to wear shoes… A disaster, and that’s just talking about their clothing…
But it was a fun disaster. And thanks to the Lovegoods, we finally stopped going to boring parties, although without those parties, I wouldn’t have found my new pen pal. Fleur is an interesting girl. She had permission to attend those parties as her school, Beauxbatons, was hosting the party where we met. Fleur seemed arrogant and uptight, and it was obvious she didn’t want to be there at all. It wasn’t until a very barefoot and slightly dishevelled Luna invited her to dance that she finally seemed to relax.
She tensed up again when Luna brought her over to where Draco and I were. It was weird, as if she expected us to attack her or something. Since, obviously, no one attacked her, she relaxed, and we started talking to her in French. It was entertaining.
Later, I found out that she is part Veela, so I suppose it has happened to her quite often that people approach her only for her beauty…
Well, we managed to tour Muggle France without any problems afterwards, but I think Cissy and Lucy were a bit uncomfortable, no idea why.
There were many art museums like in Italy, but everything had a slightly more romantic atmosphere, or so Julius said. It was pleasant. We also got to visit Beauxbatons again, but this time to see the classes. It was fine, but their uniform seems a bit uncomfortable, very tight and thin, definitely not my style, but I think it would suit Draco and Luna very well.
Anyway, I managed to distract myself a bit, but I still didn’t part with my sketchbook where I draw Mum at least once a day.
See you,
Goodbye.
