Dear diary, we made a quick stop at home to pick up Blaise, although it was a bit difficult to tear My Dragon away from his gaming machines and computer, which Cissy and Lucy had managed to install with magic instead of electricity, thanks to a manual that dad had sent them from Japan.
Not to mention dad, who wanted to stay to experiment with all his new ingredients and instruments, he seemed like a kid in a candy store... Surprisingly, Julius behaved well, until I realized he had gotten himself a handheld game called Gameboy.
At least I still had Luna and the twins on my side…
Seeing Blaise confused by all the Muggle terms and devices was hilarious, oh! and when he said that Julius' comics weren't art... I had never seen a 6-year-old verbally destroy someone 3 years older, although I must say Blaise put up a good fight, but no one beats the wit of my little brother.
After two days, we finally managed to head to Italy, and I must say I understand a bit why Blaise says that Julius' comics are not art. The paintings and sculptures we saw in the huge number of museums were spectacular, not to mention the architecture.
Personally, I prefer Japanese or Indian architecture that is more connected with nature, but I can see the appeal of a country like Italy, it's a completely different world, almost like comparing a mooncalf to an Opaleye of the Antipodes, both are beautiful in their own way but couldn't be more different…
The magical area was full of fashion shops, clothes, and beauty products, it was overwhelming, but Draco and Blaise say that magical France is worse. I can't even begin to imagine…
The beaches were truly beautiful and relaxing, and we even got to spend some time at Blaise's mom's villa, which had its own vineyard.
We didn't get to see many magical creatures, much to my disappointment, but Blaise got us a drawing and painting instructor. I think I've found a new hobby. Drawing is super fun and relaxing, and according to our instructor, I'm not half bad.
The really surprising thing was finding out that dad is very good at drawing realism, especially plants and animals. Luna was amazed and asked him to teach her how to draw the magical creatures we had photographed.
Even though I love magical creatures almost as much as Luna does, I prefer sketching my family and especially My Dragon. Julius only draws snakes and the occasional phoenix, and the twins didn't let me see what they were drawing, but they used up all the black color, maybe a Hungarian Horntail?
Blaise was a master at painting, but he only painted his mother, you can tell he loves her a lot. His paintings always have a tender and loving air, it's super cute.
What I didn't like very much was that the instructor, Luca Moretti, also gave us art history classes. I love cultures and mythology, okay? But history... No, definitely not my thing, at least art history is a bit more entertaining than the history I have to study at home.
Still, I almost fell asleep in most of the classes, Julius seemed bored too, but he didn't fall asleep (I don't know if I should feel bad for being worse than my little brother at staying awake with boring stuff or proud of said little brother).
Luna didn't seem to pay attention, always staring into space, just like the twins who quietly laughed between themselves, but when Mr. Moretti made us take a test, all three of them did quite well. I was the one who did the worst, fortunately I didn't fail but everyone else had very high grades, including dad! (I forced him to attend the classes with us when he tried to escape)
Anyway, an informative trip but not one of the best. Now we have to go back home to say goodbye to the red-headed threats because they're already starting at Hogwarts.
See you,
Bye.
