Dear diary, today is our last day in Australia. Tomorrow morning, we're taking a portkey to Japan. We haven't even left yet, and I'm already a bit tired. Julius won't stop repeating everything he's read about Japan in books and everything our teachers have told us, as if I haven't read the same books and don't already know our teachers...
Anyway, Julius is obsessed with some comics called manga (how does he get them? I have no idea) and he's made me read them, supposedly to prepare for Japan. The one I like the most is called "Whisper of the Heart," but he's into some weird ones called "Bio Hunter," "Ghost in the Shell," "RG Veda," and "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure." They're not bad, but he's way too obsessed. He's starting to annoy me.
Of course, I don't say anything about what I think, and I always pretend to pay attention (I've become very good at that...), but now it seems I promised to read them all and their sequels! I don't even remember if I really promised or not! But it doesn't matter, as I'm a good older brother, I'll always keep my promises to my little brother, even if I don't understand the excitement over some comics...
Well, enough of that, now onto the important stuff... We went to a magical creatures reserve! In Australia, there are a lot of uninhabited areas, so this is one of the largest magical reserves in the world!
There were creatures of all kinds everywhere! It was complete chaos, but it seemed like everything followed its own order. We found a billywig hive, and one stung Draco. He started floating immediately. I couldn't help but laugh. Luckily, he didn't get mad at me because he seemed to be having fun.
Together with the redheads, we chased a group of billywigs to get stung too, but nothing happened...
We got to pet some puffskeins and a few domesticated Kneazles, but what I loved the most was being able to see an Opaleye of the Antipodes. It's the most beautiful dragon of all, pearlescent in color, with multicolored eyes. The one we saw was a majestic female that had just laid eggs, so she was more territorial than usual. Because of this, we could only see her from afar, but even so, her extreme beauty took my breath away.
The most beautiful part was when Draco told me that if I were a dragon, I would definitely be one of those. It was beautiful, and I couldn't help but blush. It's the best compliment anyone has ever given me. My stomach felt funny the whole time. After that, I couldn't concentrate on the other creatures, and I don't know why!
Julius teased me, and the redheaded threats kept pretending to faint and sigh. I don't understand them. I wonder if they're okay or if some creature bit them...
Anyway, we had a lovely time, and Dad took photos of all the creatures, including the ones I missed. There's a beautiful one of the dragoness. I had him make a copy to give to Anna. I wonder if she'll, I mean he'll think the same as Draco...
Next stop: Japan.
See you later!
Bye!
