Wrong Person, Bad Decision
This might be the wrong time
After the first couple of classes passed by it was time. Alex and Zak walked into potions class both nervous for what was to come, but Zak, stubborn and eager to piss off Alex, did his cocky smile while walking. Alex, on the other hand, did not have a smile on his face. Zak sat with his friends, Evan and Simon. They started mocking and teasing him about messing up. Alex walked over to sit with Carlos and George
Mrs. Millight clapped to grab everyone's attention once more. Once everyone was looking at her, she started talking about the objective for the day.
"Okay class, if you all remember yesterday you all should remember that you will be testing your potions today."
Alex sighed and held his head up with his hand, elbow on the oak table.
"I have the cauldrons outside; we are not aware all potions are safe so we will take this experiment outside. I have the nurse outside of the classroom as well, just in case something happens. Which it shouldn't if everyone paid attention in class." Mrs. Millight grabbed some of her papers and folders.
"Follow me class and stick by your partners." Everyone got up and gathered their things. Alex's and Zak's friends got with their partners and that left Zak and Alex alone again. Zak growled to himself and slowly walked over to where Alex was situated.
Alex glared at Zak, "Even though you're all smug and happy now Luvole, you're going to be the first one to drink the solution. I hope something happens so badly we have to cancel this class for a long while..." Alex smiled and started walking out.
"Fuck off you bloody devil, ill break off your damned horns and stick them on my bed frame as an ornament" Zak flipped him off once again.
"Ten points from Slytherin and 10 points from Gryffindor. Zak, I'll keep going with the points for you." Mrs. Millight sighed at the two then led the class outside.
The outside had 3 rows of 3 desks in each. Names were laid along each hardwood table. Each cauldron had a ladle and 2 viles beside it. One for each taste tester.
"Your group names are on the hardwood tables so please stand there with your partner." Everyone started walking standing beside their cauldron. Alex and Zak slowly walked to their table.
When they were standing behind their table Zak growled towards Alex. "Better hope I die or you'll be the person I bloody hurt after this"
Stuck with him again, Zak was getting more furious as time went by. Zak has to be the one to drink the potion and he was not happy about it.
"Lucky for me your reputation will go down before you even look at me."
Alex giggled and grabbed an empty vile.
"Alright class, carefully fill one of your viles up with your potion and hand it to the first person drinking it."
Alex used a ladle that was on the table and scooped some of the, now crimson-colored, potion, slowly pouring it into the small vile. He smirked and handed it to Zak.
"Drink it, Lovule"
"Fucken make me Kellip." Zak growled.
Mrs. Millight looked towards Alex's and Zak's table. "Mr. Lovule."
Zak looked over at Mrs. Millight.
"You're a seventh-year boy and older than one, you should not be acting like a child. Especially in potions class."
Zak sighed and grabbed the vile, giving death glares at the boy he hated so so very much.
"Now your partner will drink the potion. Please tell me immediately if anything feels wrong."
Zak chugged the vile of the crimson potion. Wiping off anything that was left behind. It tasted...sweet...and it went down surprisingly smooth...
"Good, now your other partner should get the vile ready again for the other to drink. Unless something goes wrong."
Alex stared at Zak waiting for something to happen. Zak noticed Alex staring and shrugged not feeling anything. Alex huffed and got the vile ready for his turn.
"Good, some of you may not feel anything because few of the potions were just antidotes for various creature's venoms and spells"
Zak looked around and sighed in relief. Nothing happened. Maybe they were just conveniently missing those two ingredients?
"Guess you got lucky" Alex smiled
"Yeah, I guess"
Zak sat down on a hardwood stool, but as soon as he did, he winced in pain.
"O-ow" Zak stuttered, starting to feel hot in his stomach.
Alex took notice of it and looked over. "Lovule? You alright?"
Zak groaned and held his stomach, starting to curl up. He felt his body burn up, starting from his gut straight to his head. His heart started burning and feeling like it was twisting in itself. The blood in his veins burned like fiery lava and the hairs on his neck prickled ever so slightly.
" Mrs. Millight!" Alex was starting to worry a lot more than normal. He may dislike Zak but he still cares about how people feel. Physically.

Mrs. Millight looked over at them once more and when she did see them, her eyes widened. She dismissed the class immediately after seeing Zak.
All Zak could feel was a burning sensation throughout his entire body. He was still positioned on the hardwood stool, but his torso was crouched to his knees.
"Hey, Zak, look I may envy you but I need to know if you are alright!?" Alex walked over to Zak and kneeled in front of him.
Mrs. Millight quickly walked over to her desk and grabbed a potion. She was a little frustrated that Alex was still here.
" Mr. Kellip when I dismissed class that included you" Mrs. Millight walked over to them holding a potion she assumed would be the solution.
Alex's face scrunched up, worry written on his face. "We made the potion together and we mixed ingredients we shouldn't have, I should be involved!"
Mrs. Millight sighed and nodded. She tried sitting Zak up but all he did was wince and curl up more.
" Mr. Lovule, I need you to sit up, please. If you drink what I have in my hand it should reverse the potion."
Zak took heavy breaths and then slowly sat up. His eyes were shut, sweat started forming throughout his body, and tears formed in his eyes. He looked down at his hands, his knuckles were turned white and red. Zak slowly opened his mouth and Mrs. Millight poured the potion in. Zak swallowed hastily and hoped for the best. This had to work, all he felt was hot skin, a horrible headache, and a need to curl up and hide.
"Zak? Are you alright now?" Alex looked at Zak, worrisome and honestly scared for him at this point. None of them were expecting this to happen. It shouldn't have happened.
The pained boy looked up towards Alex. He shouldn't have. He really shouldn't have. Zak's eyes turned rose pink. Pink as the sunset, shiny as snow in the morning. Zak jolted up and soon stumbled backward. His eyes were trained on Alex. His mouth was agape, it looked like he was trying to say something. The pink eyes...
" Mr. Lovule?" Mrs. Millight looked at Zak and her eyes widened
"Merlin's Beard! Zak follow me to the medical wing right away!" She grabbed Zak by his forearm and quickly took him out of the classroom. His eyes never trained away from Alex till he left the room.

Alex's POV
"What was...What was that about?" Alex looked around the empty and silent classroom.
He had pink eyes. Zak, he stared at me with pink eyes. It shouldn't have had anything to do with our potion, it should've just done nothing if it was mixed with so many ingredients. What if I permanently hurt him, all because we were both stubborn and wanted our way? The potion was crimson in the end, it was mossy green when we left. Why didn't we just report it to Mrs. Mllight?... I shouldn't need to worry about it now, he's being taken care of. I probably should go to the Great Hall for lunch, maybe it will calm me down.
Third Person POV
Alex got his stuff and went to the Great Hall, almost feeling a bit guilty. He sat by George and Carlos and quickly the feeling went away, but only for a moment.
George poked Alex, "What happened to Lovule, Alex?" All Alex did was sigh and immediately regret coming here. Alex grabbed a piece of banana bread and started the small summary.
"The potion went wrong, he was wincing in pain, sweating, and almost crying" Alex hesitated on saying the next part of the story, he needed to say it anyway, wanting more opinions on the matter anyway. "We tried to give him a potion that should've helped him, but it didn't. He looked at me. Pink eyes, almost like passion. I don't know what it means but he couldn't take his eyes off me"
George's and Carlos's eyes widened. Carlos though eventually started smirking.
"This is an advantage, Alex!" Carlos was excited about what had come. "He's weak and it's a perfect time to ruin him! He's the Slytherins Prefect, right? Ruin his reputation and leadership!"
Alex looked at Carlos, dumbfounded. "No way Carlos..." Carlos scoffed. "Come on, it's something harmless but heavily working". Alex huffed and took a bite of his bread then went ahead and grabbed steak, potatoes, and apple pie.
"He's right though Alex, it's a perfect chance to get at him" George smiled at Alex, grabbing coated chicken for him to eat. Alex growled at the response "We can't! He's having trouble with something that's just- just unfair!" George jumped and other tables looked over.
"I still can't believe you even got Gryffindor instead of damn Hufflepuff" Carlos huffed. "You are the most cheerful and peaceful person I and George know. Gryffindor is for people who are brave and take challenges. Not only act like it when it comes to a single person. "
Alex rolled his eyes and started eating. Zak didn't return to any classes till the next day in Charms class. He wasn't even at breakfast that day so it worried people more than anything.
Once Mr. Gilloid started charms class, Zak came in exactly when he started talking. Everyone looked at him and all he did was look down and slowly walk to his chair. Evan and Simon tried talking to him but to no avail. They gave up after a few minutes of silence.
"Class leave Mr. Lovule alone. He had a rough day yesterday." Mr. Gilloid looked around at the class. "Let's continue learning about Ascendio, and be as safe as possible people. We weren't able to work outside due to the potions class incident. More than just Zaks incident arose." Mr Gillold giggles. "One cauldron exploded when the wooden ladle touched it." Some class members started giggling.
Alex looked over at Zak, partially worried for him. No. He pitied him. Alex grunted to himself and grabbed his book starting to read from it. 'I could use this spell for dueling later when he's better' Was all Alex could think about the entire class period. For all he knows Zak could be acting it out, just trying to gain attention and lower the Gryffindor's guard.
