dinner with the snakes
Hermione was absolutely shocked at the feeling of Draco's lips covering hers and she realized to slow that her traitorous hand were alreadt begning to wrap around his neck. Hermione realized that if it were not Draco Malfoy kissing her she would have enjoyed it, because even though he was a vicious man he was a damn good kisser and she hated it. his arms to started wrapping around her body and she thought maybe he had also been given the cumpulsions to treat her well and act lovingly. Hermione also thought that maybe he trul did like her because she did seem to remember his piercing glares from school, but no that was impossible he hated mugleborns, especially Hermione.
So he had to be under some spell right? Suddenly he broke off and she was terrifed when she realized that she quite liked the kiss but he would never know that because she hated him, she hated him so much. Draco leaned down and she could feel his breath on her ear when he spoke. " You can be expecting more of that my dear future wife." His words were menacing but also a promise, one she hoped he would not keep. Draco stepped away and went back to his place with his parents. then she heard the voice of Voldmort. " Dearie me it seems that our dear Luna's magic worked better that we thought, any way now that we know you will be an amazing wife to our dear Draco, Harry Potter take her to her room." Hermione suddenly snapped. " No! I. Will Not. Go. Back. To. That. Cell!" Hermione felt the histeria that she had been fightng off for months finally come out. and suddenley she was screaming and kicking anyone who came near her. Suddenly she saw a flash of red hair and gasped it was ron and before she could remember that he hated her now to she threw herself onto him and wrapped her legs around his torso burying her face in his shoulder and crying. " Ron! I missed you so much!" To her suprise Ron actually wrapped his arms around her to.
"I missed you too love." It was quiet and sweet the way he used to speak to her. Ron started walking with her still wrapped around him, then se heard a door open and he droped her onto the bed of t a rather lavish room, she didn't care, she was asved Ron had broken free and was saving her , he just stared at her the seddenly his expression tuerned cold and he glared at her. " You really tought I missed after you abandonned me like that I hate you Hermione and I can't wait for you to leave this place, somone else will be up shortly to prepare you ready for dinner." That was the cruelest manipulation she had ever expierenced. She just sta there on her bed and cried for a long time.
At some point she had stopped crying and just sat there in pain from Ron's cruel words. Suddenly someone came in to the room it must be time to get ready for dinner and so she reluctantly got up and looked to see who was going to be preparing her for diner. Hermione felt shock and sheer terror when she saw who was looking at her. It was Ginny and Hermione had missed almost as much as she had missed Ron and Harry but she knew that the feeling was unrequited and that Ginny now hated her like her brother did and like all her friends did. " Hello Hermione I was sent by the dark lord to get you ready for your engagement dinner, now stand up so I can find something to put you in to make you look half decent." Hermione was unsure as she stood up it sounded almost like Ginny was jelous of her and Hermione didn't like it so Hermione decided to just let Ginny fix her up or watever in a hope to avoid hurting Ginny more or hurting herself more than she already hes been.
thirty minutes later Hermione was in the most gorgeous dress with the perfect makeup and somehow ginny had fixed Hermione's hair to a beautiful curl patern and Hermione was shocked at this transformation and she felt gorgeous but wated to stay in her room because even just the ides of her future husband seeing her like this was absolutely revolying so she hopped thet Ginny would not say the words that she could feel coming until Ginny finally spoke. " Well it is time for you to go eat dinner with your future husband and his familly." Ginny's words sounded bitter and it shcked Hermione how much Ginny hated her and Hermione wished so much that she could fix her relationships with her friends.
Once they arrived down stairs and entered the dinning room Hermione was relieved for a couple of moments to see that Volermort had not shown up then she remembered she still had to eat with the Malfoy's, then an even more shocking realisation hit, she was going to be a Malfoy. She wondered if she would have access to their money and she would so that she may buy all the books she could ever want. Hermione was guided to her seat and she sat there and stayed calm until the Malfoy's entered the room then she felt rather stressed. Draco had come to sit beside her despite their being around twenty other seats. The older Malfoy's sat on the other end of the table and she felt rather nevous to be near them, she worried that they mignt heurt her and she would have liked to just curl up and die in that moment then to her suprise Lucius Malfoy smiled at her warmly and began to speak. "Welcome Hermione to your new home me and Narcissa will be moving from our ancestral home to live ith my relatives in France so you will be in charge of the manor afert you and our dear Draco get married." Lucius' words were suprisingley kind and warm and Hermione was shocked by it and simply stayed silent until they realised they wanted her to reply. "Oh umm thank you?" Hermione was unsure and so she hopped she hadn't offended them, apparentley her nervousness was visible on her face because suddenley Narcissa and Lucius started to lagh and it was quite unsetling to see such a sight from such intimidating individuals. " Oh dear your very welcome and please do not stress about us we are all very happy to welcome you." Hermione was shocked by the kindness of Narcissa's words.
They had a comfortable meal and Hermione soon found out that contrary to her beliefs the Malfoy's were actually a kind and caring family that simply was really good at acting. Draco wasn't quite so bad either, as it turned out he was kind and intellegent just very cunning and very spoiled and could be a twat to others. To her suprise Hermione felt herself warming up to the Malfoy's, it terrified her. After dinner the Malfoy's had arranged a wonderful desert for Hermione, it was a display of muggle desserts which was so tuching because Hermione had not had a muggle desert - or any dessert - for a long time. Once they had finnished the rest of their meal the two older Malfoy's excused themseves from the table to "give them some privacy".
"So it's been a long time since you last saw me." Hermione said the words unsure and reluctant, she hated how small her voice sounded. "Indeed it has, you grew up beautifully however." Hermione felt herself blush at his kind words, it was the compulsions she told herself because she new she hated him she could feel it, she hated the vicious smirk he had on his face and how easily he had said those words to her and made it sound like he meant it, he was a liar. She just wanted to go to bed." Thank you" she found herself saying. After a while of talking they decided to go to bed.
