'Leave." Dorcas' eyes did not stray from the grave beneath her feet. There was no lavish stone that Marlene always joked she wanted: no grand sarcophagus. Just patch of disturbed soil unable to preserve the memory of what once was. "I said GET OUT."

"Please Dorcas, I'm sorry, Marlene-" Pandora's voice tremmered, "I can't believe- I never would have thought- Regulus..he said-"

"Don't."

The steel in Dorcas' voice grabbed hold of Pandora's heart, suffocating it in its grip as she watched her friend try to reign in her emotions. It was unnerving watching her struggle now, watching the anger the bubble up in her soul. The grief, the pain, it seeped from her skin. Pandora could see it consuming her being, see it in the way Dorcas' grip convulsed on her wand, her jaw tightening like she was imagining grinding the hearts of the deatheaters between her teeth.

"Do not come here-" Dorcas broke off, mouth opening and closing as if she was struggling to breath through her pain, "Do not come here and tell me what ies that tTraitor..."' she spat, "fed to you. Do not come here as if you truly care Because if you did, you would go to Regulus and all his bloody fucking traitor friends right now, and kill them where they stand." Dorcas straightened in her position, taking her eyes from the grave for the first time in hours to look at the girl she once thought would stand by her till the end. "Pick a side Pandora. Until then, do not talk to me, do not try and find me. I am not your friend. And tell Regulus, if I ever see him again, it will be with my wand to his throat."

With a crack, Dorcas apparated away, and Pandora had the horrible feeling that it would be the last time they ever saw one another. She took one look at Marlene's grave, the blood that had dripped across the ground when Dorcas had carried her body to the hole she'd had to dig. She thought about why there was blood in the first place when the deatheaters were known for their unforgivables. She barely had enough time to turn before she doubled over and threw up in the bushes.
