'She looks a bit too much like you, Lily.' James says, looking quite jealous of the fact except for the eyes, his and Lily's baby looked just like Lily. 'No way, are you jealous?' Lily teased, to which James almost screamed. It was true though. Looking at Hailey felt like looking at a baby version of Lily until she opened her eyes. Black with a hint of playfulness and courage, just like James. She had fair skin, unlike James, who had tanned skin. So, in conclusion, except for her eyes, she looked like Lily.
'Fear not,' a loud voice emerges as the door opens, 'Uncle Sirius is here! Where is he?' Sirius says as he quickly rushes into the house with Remus. 'She,' Lily corrected, 'and, take a look.' she added, looking smug and proud. 'Woah,' Sirius whispered, 'She looks just like you, Lily! Doesn't she, Remus?' he asked. 'Yeah, I'm a bit amazed, I guess.' Remus expressed, trying to be careful with his words so James doesn't get annoyed. Just then, Hailey opened her eyes, changing the atmosphere. 'Well, at least she has something of yours, James!' Sirius says to James who seems even more calmer the moment she opened her eyes. 'She's beautiful, Isn't she?' James muttered to which Lily nodded. 'Well, I think it'll be nice to spend some time which our god-daughter, Right?' Remus suggests. Both James and Lily nod.
Thus, the evening was spend with laughter and joy.
'The Dark Lord is after us.' Lily breaks the news to Sirius. 'I need you to be the secret keeper of our house. Sirius, can you do it for us?' to which Sirius nods, 'Of course, Lily. Lay it on me.' he agrees cheerfully, which brightens the mood. Both of them trust him.
But months later, Sirius comes up with an idea to give the job to Peter, since it would be too obvious since Sirius and James were known as close as brothers in school.
It was a terrible idea. The most regretful idea.
Who knew that Peter would betray them in such a way?
Who would've guessed that the nervous Peter Pettigrew would betray them by giving the address to the Dark Lord himself out of pure fear? Who would've guessed that the nervous Peter Pettigrew would fake his death, leading to one of his "best friend" to get sent to Azkaban for crimes he did not commit?
