Regulus' sick day
Regulus was sick and he was making it everyone else’s problem. When James had gotten the cold last week, he had hidden in the guest room not willing to let anyone see him, as if he were some animal who had crawled out of sight to die.
Regulus however, was sitting on the living room couch. Lily was coddling him, giving him tea and crackers. She came running into the room anytime he so much as coughed.
“Reggie, love, you’re being dramatic.” James insisted.
Lily and Regulus both scowled at him. “James, he’s sick!” Lily defended their lover. “You can bicker when he’s feeling better.” Lily decided, as she wrapped another blanket around Regulus and took his temperature again.
James rolled his eyes, “He doesn’t even have a fever. It’s just a cold. If he took the damn pepper up potion then he’d be fine.” James crossed his arms, he didn’t understand why Regulus acted as though he was dying everytime he got the sniffles. James loved Regulus dearly, but nothing annoyed him as much as Regulus’ dramatics when it came to sickness.
“I’m going to make some soup for you, Reg.” Lily said, she ignored James and gave Regulus a kiss on the forehead. “Call for me if you need anything.” Lily left the room.
Regulus and James stared at each other for a second. “You can’t possibly feel that bad.” James groaned.
“Jamie, I’m dying.” Regulus whined.
James shook his head and mumbled, “You’re being a brat.”
“Come cuddle with me.” Regulus asked.
Despite James’ annoyance, he couldn’t resist holding Regulus in his arms. Even though within seconds James was sweating from Regulus’ plethora of blankets.
Lily came back not long after with a bowl of soup. She placed it on the table as she joined Regulus and James on the couch. Taking her spot as James wrapped an arm around her. Lily held a spoonful of soup to Regulus’ mouth and he ate it instantly.
Lily had clearly snuck some sort of potion in the soup, because Regulus instantly started feeling better.
It seemed as thought he throuple was out of the woods, until Lily began sneezing.
