Suo Hayato
The first year wearing the eye patch and tasseled earrings beamed at Severus as he sat on the examination table. "You must be Suo Hayato?" Severus stated as he quickly wrote down the boy's name on the form.
"Is it that obvious?" Suo prompted as Severus picked up his telescopic pointer.
"You do have a very distinct appearance to you, so yes." Severus answered. "I'd like to perform a basic eye test, would you mind removing your eye patch?"
"I'd rather keep it on." Suo said in a pleasant but definite tone.
"That's fine but I will still need to at least check your other eye and make sure your sight isn't compromised in any way." Severus replied, he then extended the pointer and tapped the hanging chart on the wall. "Okay, Mr Hayato. On this are the letter C in different positions. I'm going point to a line of Cs and, I want you to do your best and tell me the position of each C in that line. Is that clear?"
"Crystal." Suo nodded, his earrings jangling slightly as he did so.
"We'll start with line five. Begin when you're read-"
"Right, right, left, down, left."
"And line ten, please?"
"Up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right."
Severus blinked and then tucking his pointer under his arm, he quickly wrote down the results. "Fascinating."
