part 6
The moment Draco stepped off the train, stars could be seen in his eyes.
“Pansy look! We’re finally here! How big do you think the 7th years are? Do you think the sorting process will be difficult? I wonder if I can meet the quidditch captains today! How strong do you think the castle’s security is? Oh Pansy do you know I've met the Hogwarts gamekeeper at Madam Malkin’s?”
Pansy, who didn’t really care about all the other stuff Draco was talking about, looked up abruptly when she heard a dark chuckle next to her friend.
“Good to see yer still just as excited Draco!”, a big burly man said.
Draco immediately lit up and grinned at the man, tilting his head all the way up.
“Hagrid, this is my best friend Pansy! Can we both visit you sometime during the year?”
“Of course yer can Draco, stop by my hut whenever you want, I’ll always be here. Now, you haven’t seen ‘arr- Ah! There ‘e is!” Hagrid said, a smile plastered over his scary face, making it much less… scary.
Pansy and Draco turned around suddenly, only to be met with the blushed face of Harry Potter.
“Good to see you ‘arry, hope everything is all well of course. Now then, if you’ll excuse me.” Hagrid said, raising his arm up high.
“All first years come, follow me!”
As Hagrid was leading the kids onto the boats, Harry looked at Draco and smiled.
“H-hey man! Are you excited or what?” Draco immediately beamed at the dark haired boy, causing his already red face to deepen its color.
“Of course I am-!”
Suddenly, Draco’s smile slowly faded as if in thought.
“Listen, guys.” He said, glancing up at Harry and Ron who were beside him.
“I’m sorry about what Theo said to you guys. If it makes you feel any better, they’re always like that. I think their sheer size overpowers every other human aspect of them.”
Draco finished, a shameless smile playing on his face.
Ron snorted, clapping his hand on the blonde boy’s back. “What do they FEED them mate? They’re bloody massive!”
Draco giggled at that, causing yet another reaction from the two boys in front of him.
Before he could notice however, a presence made themselves known beside him.
“AHEM. When are you gonna introduce me babes? I would love to join in on some big burly idiot guy slander!” Pansy said, linking her arm with Draco’s.
Draco sighed, a soft smile lingering on his face.
“Guys, this is Pansy, my best friend. Pansy, this is Harry and Ron.”
“Nice to meet you too” Pansy said, smirking at the slow nodding of the two boys.
“This beautiful boy over here is practically my brother, so don’t worry about any competition. He’s all yours, boys!”
“P-PANSY!” Draco stammered, shoving Pansy with the cutest anger Harry has ever seen.
“If you’re all done blushing at each other, let’s go! The boats are filling up!” Pansy said, linking arms with Draco once again and skipping towards the boats.
Harry and Ron followed in suit, disbelief very prominent on their faces.
Once on the boats, Draco looked around him in awe.
The damp warmth from misty water, the shine of the stars on the dark sky, even the soft glow of the lantern in front of him!
Everything was so much more perfect than he had imagined, and he had sky high expectations for Hogwarts.
He closed his eyes for a bit, in disbelief that he’s finally at the place he’s been longing to be at for his whole life. A
fter a few seconds of enjoying his surroundings, he started rambling to Pansy yet again, which was looked at longingly from two boys on another boat.
Hogwarts is going to be a wild journey.

Waiting on the stairs before going into the Great Hall was… nerve-wracking to say the least.
It didn’t help that the 4 gits (as Draco liked to call them) found their way back to his side, much to the blonde’s dissatisfaction.
If they ruined his sorting by doing anything embarrassing, he would NEVER forgive them.
And Draco is VERY good at holding grudges.
A body slung over his back startled Draco out of his thoughts.
“What are you mumbling about princess? Who’s a dainty little thing like you going to hold a grudge against?” Blaise said, smirking.
Not saying anything, Draco shoved the taller boy off him and tried walking away from their general area, only to be met with the two brainless gits.
“Crabbe, Goyle. Respectfully, get the fuck out of my way. Oh yeah, all four of you arses, listen to me.” Draco said, stepping closer so (hopefully) no one would overhear.
“If any of you do something stupid and mess up my sorting process, I will NEVER forgive you. I will go straight to father and I think we all know what will happen from there. So act like the little mindless followers he assigned you to be, and stay out of my way. Okay?” he said, ending his rant in a desperate tone.
The four boys looked scared at the mention of Lucius, until Theo took a look at Draco’s hands and smirked.
He grabbed the blonde boy’s hands and placed a gentle kiss on them, eliciting a verbal response (gasps) from the students surrounding them.
The now bright red blonde tried to look up at Theo with an angry expression on his face.
Chuckling, the taller boy pulled Draco closer.
“If you really intended on letting Mr. Lucius know, then why did your hands shake darling? Listen, we’ll cooperate with you if you cooperate with us.” He said, whispering into his ear.
Draco grunted in frustration.
“F-fine, just DON’T BE ARSEHOLES!” the blonde boy half-yelled, turning around.
As he did, however, he came face to face with his two new friends, who had a mix of emotions he couldn’t quite catch.
After taking a look at the upset expression on Draco’s face, some feelings started bubbling inside Harry.
Pushing Draco behind him, the dark haired boy glared nervously at the 4 boys in front of him.
“H-hey. Don’t be mean to Draco.” he said, the stutter evident.
The 4 boys just smirked deeper, if that was even possible.
“Well well well. If it isn’t the one and only Harry Potter.” Blaise said after receiving a nod from Theo, confirming that these two boys were indeed Harry and Ron.
Gasps were heard around them, and suddenly all conversations stopped except for the VERY interesting confrontation going on in the front of the crowd.
“So, you got a crush on our little Draco here? Well, I hate to break it to you lot, but our princess is basically royalty. Straight from the top of the sacred 28, the only son of the Malfoy family. You really think he would hang out with a filthy half-blood such as yourself?” Blaise said, turning to face the other boy who was glaring intensely at him.
“Or a blood traitor like Weasley over here? We could all tell you’re a Weasley don't worry”, Blaise said upon seeing the scowl on Ron’s face deepen.
“All we had to do was look for the poorest lad here!”
The four boys bursted out laughing and slapped Blaise’s back in a chorus of “good one mate!”.
Clearly feeling uncomfortable with the entire conversation, but also not wanting to make a big deal, Draco grabbed Harry’s hand with another sorry look on his face.
“I’m so sorry Harry, but it is best to ignore them. Trust me, I have experience.” Draco said to Harry and Ron, ignoring whatever annoying face the four boys must’ve been making.
Suddenly, a hand harshly grabbed the blonde boy’s shoulder. “Don’t make us angry Draco, it is our job to make sure you’re not associating with unworthy people.” Theo said.
“You’re an arsehole! I can associate with whoever I wish.” Draco said, struggling against the taller boy’s harsh grip.
Theo’s face just darkened, gripping the blonde boy’s shoulder harder.
Draco bit his bottom lip, tears forming in his eyes that didn’t go unnoticed by the boys around him.
“HEY ST-“ Ron started, disgust for the boy evident on his face.
Suddenly, a brown haired boy leaped in between the commotion, a look of relief on his face.
“Trevor!” He cried out blissfully, holding out his hands.
Once "Trevor", who was a toad, was safely in the boy's hands, everyone realized the presence of a woman in front of the crowd.
She was tall with black hair, wore emerald-green robes and had a very stern face.
Everyone there gulped in realization that this was not someone to cross.
Theo suddenly let go of Draco’s shoulder, stepping back so hopefully she would not notice, but it is very clear she knew what was going on.
“It is appalling to see such behavior before the year has even started. Just so you know, Hogwarts has a strict no bullying policy. If I see any such actions again, a proper punishment will be given. And when I say proper, I mean proper.” She said, pointedly staring at Theo.
“Now, it is just about time for you all to head inside for the sorting ceremony. I wish you all the best of luck.” The mysterious lady finished, turning around with a swoosh of her robes and heading inside the large wooden doors.
Not wanting to waste anymore time around the center of commotion, Draco left all 6 boys behind and found Pansy, who was talking to some girls he remembers from his fathers huge parties.
Smiling at the girls whose faces have gone red, he linked arms with Pansy and followed the crowd into the Great Hall, trying his best to put the mess that just happened behind him.
