His stupid face

Chapter: 2

Marcus normally didn’t mind the rain, he even liked it when he was at home but as he was driving his car over the wet dark street, he was glad that there was no one else around in this weather and that it would only be 35 minuets left till he would be home. His parents were probably already asleep, they would get up even earlier than normally since the stormy weather that had hung over them the last weeks must have left them with some damage to their lands that they would have to fix.

The last time they had to deal with a storm as bad as this marcus had only heard from it through the occasional letter one off his older brothers send him. His mother had been so busy with looking over all off the repairs that had been needed. Managing all the workers and repairs was a job only she could do without completely losing it. And he knew his father was probably busy all day long tending to their personal land and livestock making repairs to the sheds and fixing the fences with his oldest brother Carson.
He didn’t have to be told that Jonah lazy ass had just stayed inside his little house on the side off their farm during the entire storm, unless he had to flu to his work for which he only made the short trip to the main house, since according to his words the travelling was better from the maid fireplace and the other lines were just to crammed, Marcus had always thought that his older brother was a whiny bitch since he himself did just fine with the other chimneys on their property, even if those were a little bit off a tight squeeze it was nothing compared to the hard labor and uncomfortable work they had to do all day long.

He never really understood why Jonah had chosen a boring job in some random magical bakery in Britten when he could have stepped into his mothers and fathers' footsteps off managing their land, just like Carson had.

Hard, but rewarding work like his fathers or clever and resourceful work like his mothers had always been what he strived to do some day. How someone could not find pride in owning the land their family had held for generations and holding the guaranteed status that came with that was beyond him.

He was so tired, and the continues drumming off raindrops against his car's windshield didn’t help at all with keeping him awake. His brother Damion had been right to call him stupid for driving to the village so late in the evening, and all that trouble had been for nothing, he knew, as soon as he got home, he would just fall into his bed and sleep till the sun would inevitably wake him the next morning.
Then he would go downstairs to eat breakfast with his family where his mother would chew him out for being stupid and coming home way to late for her liking, and his father would, again, make fun of him for ,,behaving like a little boy with a crush’’ as he had so nicely put it the last times. Marcus was only a bit bummed out since the person he was looking for really didn’t show up today, not in the way his family thought, of course not, the person he had been seen was another boy, and he wasn’t like That…

His car was just driving into another curve, that made the country roads so difficult to navigate in the dark, when his headlights shon over a dark figure walking on the side off the road, but before he could catch a better view off the person, he had already driven past them. What mad man would walk around these roads in the dark, at night, while it was raining. He shook his head this was non off his business surely that person knew what they were doing but even while he tried to verbalise this to himself, he had already started to slow his car down. He didn’t make a turn he only stepped on the breaks and stoped beside the other person, who had stopped abruptly making him aware, that they had been very surprised by his pulling over he leaned over to the side passenger's door to open it.

His eyebrows rose in surprise when he finally saw who the poor drenched person infant off him was “Percy?” Brown eyes met black ones and Marcus could see clear surprise and what was most likely a bit off shook, if from seeing him or begin in the cold to long, Marcus couldn’t tell, on his face. “Marcus?” The redhead's voice was nowhere near as obnoxious as usually, and Marcus was sure that his time spent outside in the cold rain was the biggest reason for that.
Maybe the chance of getting out off the cold.
Marcus could however not pretend that there was no apprehension on the others face.

He could feel the cold start to seep into his car. “Merlin! Percy, would you just get inside” he almost felt bad at the little flinch that shook the others body but when he finally started to climb into Marcus’s car there was really only relief left, he had really hopped that Weasley wouldn’t get difficult about this with him. He looked like a shivering wet cat “here take your jacked off and put this on” he pulled his own hoody over his head and gestured for Percy to take it who only looked at him in utter bewilderment.

Marcus only huffed in response and said “I just don’t want my car to get all wet just throw your wet clothes to the back there’s nothing important back there” he gestured towards the backseats with his right hand. Percy still seemed reluctant looking from Marcus's hoody, now in his hands, back to Marcus himself “ fuck, would you just get on with it, I really don’t want to stay here all night” he saw a little bit off Colour return to the others face as he said it and he was sure that under any other circumstances he’d get a lecture about appropriate language, actually maybe that was why he was hesitating “don’t worry Weasley I’m not gonna look it's all very appropriate” and he actually made a show of holding his eyes closed, a grin groaning on his face when he heard the other boys offended huff and afterwards the rustling, more like the sacking off wet clothes.
The noise was covered up by the sounds of the engine.

Marcus had honestly intended to keep his, eyes on the road to not infringe on the other boy's privacy, but when he had to make a turn off the main road he had to look over and the flickering of his eyes had truly been a mare reflex.
And no one had to find out that the way his hands were clenching onto the steering wheel was caused by images off flushed pale skin.
