The wind was blowing through her hair, as she ran outside out of the shop, giggling. Holding her best friend's hand, they ran. Her mother watching them, shaking her head, a small laugh left her mouth as she watched the two. When they got away from her parents they sat under a tree, and continued giggling together.
’’Lily? Do you think we’ll be best friends forever!’’ The long blond haired girl asked her friend. ’’Of course, Panda! I will always love you!’’
The red haired girl said and giggled, as they ate the candy bars they had taken from Pandora’s mothers shop. They sat there talking, for hours, never going quiet. Little girls have quite a lot to talk about.
Pandora walked out of her house, seeing the red haired girl walking there, they both smiled brightly and excitedly. It was zoo day. The blond haired girl ran towards her friend, and hugged her tightly. ’’We’re going to the zoo, Lily!’’ Pandora screamed out excitedly. ’’I know!’’ The smaller girl screamed back, both smiling very brightly. Their parents chuckling at their behavior. Weren’t they just the cutest kids ever? They didn't know what their parents did know..
As the children and their parents arrived at the zoo, the two friends ran through the gates as quickly as possible. They were excited to see the animals. ’’I want to go see the birds!’’ Lily screamed out, Pandora nodding along and saying ’’Okay!’’ They giggled together and ran hand in hand towards the bird cages.
Their parents following along, but a bit slower than the kids. The kids were so excited about all of those different animals they saw that day, but the excitement would die soon enough. When it became the time they sat down onto a blanket on the grass, they pulled out their picnic baskets and started eating their little sandwiches. They had a ton of food they had brought with them.
As the girls had finished their sandwiches they turned to the fruits and berries.
Then Pandora’s mother spoke out. ’’Girls, we have something to say.’’ The two children took a quick look at each other, before putting their focus back onto the adults. ’’This might not sound great to you both, we are moving, further away from here.’’ Pandora’s father then quickly let it out.
Both of the children stared at them in shock. No, they did not believe it. Then they slowly turned to look at each other. With tears in each of their eyes, they quickly pulled each other into a big, comforting hug.
They sobbed, holding each other. They didn't want to separate, they loved each other. ’’No! Mom, why?’’ Pandora muttered, while still hugging onto the red haired girl. ’’Well, I actually got a much better job offer than the one I have now..’’Pandora’s mother told her daughter softly, patting her on the shoulder. Pandora stared at Lily in disbelief, they could not leave each other, not like this! Lily looked at Pandora with a look of disbelief and sadness.
’’When are you leaving?’’ Lily then turned to Pandora’s parents and asked. Pandora’s mother took a deep breath and sighed. She knew she'd disappoint her daughter. ’’Today..’’ She breathed out. Lily’s eyes went wide, as she stared into the ground. ’’No way, we are not leaving so soon!’’ Pandora screamed, sobbing as she hit the ground with her hands. She didn't want to go, she didn't want to leave Lily alone. They had been friends for such a long time.
After the confession, they packed their baskets of food, and took the blanket off of the ground. The two girls walked back to their cars hand in hand, without saying a word. But now, it was time to say their goodbyes for now.
’’Lily, i’ll miss you!’’ Pandora muttered, she hugged Lily, crying onto the red haired girl's shoulder. Lily started crying as well, this was the goodbye the two friends had to say to each other. ’’Panda! We’ll be fine..’’ It just sounded like the kid was trying to prove it to her own self, not to Pandora. They kept hugging for a couple of minutes, before their parents wanted them into their own cars. Pandora pulled away from Lily, with a sad smile on her face.
Now, Pandora's family got into their own car, Pandora stared out of the car’s window, staring at Lily. She put her hand onto the window. The car started, and as they started to drive away, the two girls waved at each other looking devastated. Not knowing when or where they would see each other again. Or if they would.
