Summary
After an altercation with your favorite potions professor, you stumble upon his rhodium ring on your way to dorms. You decide to keep it when you notice him agitated in the hallway, definitely looking for it. Enraged, just as he's about to confront you, your vision blurs and you open your eyes to a very concerned student you've never seen. He looks strangely like Severus Snape, the love of your life. His trembling fingers reach out to touch your forehead, worried as if you'd burn under his touch. You cannot stop but wonder, "Is this real or am I hallucinating?" You came to a conclusion that you're hallucinating because there's no way you gulped a hundred vials of felix felicis and survived that.

Hate Me

It's been almost two minutes since the incident. After making sure you were away from the classroom, you opened your eyes. You probably shouldn't have done that. If Malfoy carrying you gently and pacing towards the medical wards without hexing you wasn't shocking enough, you could see concern in his eyes as he looked ahead. You felt your heart changing... just a little. Only a little. Maybe the guy wasn't as bad as you thought. Your breath quickened a little as he turned his head to look at you. You weren't aware what expression you were making but that certainly caused that idiot to loosen his hold and drop you.

"Ugh... You could've been gentle," you said as you winced from the pain caused by the hard fall.

"So you really were pretending to be sick. You sure have his attention now, don't you?"

You felt heat rise up in your body as he retorted back. You wouldn't let him win this one.

"That is none of your concern, Draco Malfoy. And for your information, I'm feeling unwell for real. Just when I thought you were changing you had to throw me down. I'm fucking angry at myself for believing you'd be better now."

Your chest felt lighter as you blurted out those sentences. Malfoy looked taken aback but he wasn't going to back down.

"Who do you think you are, Trevil? You act all high and mighty when others are aroun-- Hey! Don't scoff at me! You were the one who chose that Potter over my friendship. In no way do you have the right to tell me what I'm doing wrong or how I should act!"

"I didn't chose anyone Malfoy! It's just you who thinks like that. In no way I have approached anyone first unless they'd intrigued me. And you were one of them. Until you started your childish game. I can't take this anymore. Malfoy, I'm going to the infirmary by myself and I don't wish to be followed. Just leave me alone and from now on, don't speak to me!"

You sped up past him before your teary eyes betrayed your anger and sadness. You didn't have the courage to look behind and see how he reacted. But, you hoped this all would finally be over. You had tried to make friends with Malfoy since first year but he always was a snob towards you. His piercing grey eyes never failed to catch your interest but now you abhorred those very icy eyes, which were so cold and cruel. Deciding to keep your thoughts aside, you entered the medical room. It was relieving that there was no patient at this hour.

Sighing, you approached the mediwitch who was tending to the curtains. They were different from the last time you visited there, now a calming shade of blue instead of orange. Even better. After a few minutes, you were done with the checkup. She gave you some calming and sleeping droughts. For an extra safety measure, she also took out your blood and sent it to be tested at St. Mungo's. It was a surprise that the wizards were slowly becoming more and more aware of the muggle ways and trying to adapt to more efficient methods of doing many tasks.

Just as you were about to leave the premises, you were slapped alert by a howler. Recovering from the hit, you opened it and soon regretted your decision,

"MISS VIOLET TREVIL! IT HAS COME TO MY ATTENTION THAT YOU'VE BEEN ENGAGING IN VERY INAPPROPRIATE MISCHIEFS! NOT TO IGNORE THAT YOU'RE ALSO ENCOURAGING OTHERS TO JOIN YOU IN DOING SO. WITH THE GOAL OF DISCIPLINING, YOU ARE GIVEN 4 WEEKS WORTH OF DETENTION ALONG WITH MISTER GEORGE AND FRED WEASELY! PROFESSOR SNAPE WOULD BE SUPERVISING YOU ALL. DON'T DISAPPOINT ME THIS TIME."

Even though the message wasn't spoken in a violent manner, it still sounded like Miss McGonagall was screaming in lowercase. You must've been caught for the incident this morning. Shaking your head, you open another letter addressed to you. The letter was from the Headmaster and your suspicions were confirmed. Someone must've busted you because you made sure that the magic was untraceable. Looking at the instructions, you sighed in relief. The detention wasn't very bad. You just had to stay three hours after your class assisting the professor in his lab. If it was any other day, it would've been exciting but after throwing up in front of Snape, saying that you're embarrassed would be a huge understatement.

Resolving to not crumble, you bid Madam Pomfrey a goodbye and went back to your potions class, which was empty by this time. You went to your desk to retrieve your belongings, the floor squeaky clean. After making sure everything was intact and there was no tampering with your belongings, you started exiting the room but stopped midway. You saw something shining under the teacher's desk. Cautiously, you approached the source. It was a silver ring. A very plain but an enthralling ring. Without giving it much thought, you reached out to pick it up and suddenly, it started glowing and you were hit with some images in front of you.

The same potions class, you sitting there but in different house robes. Someone throwing paper balls at you, then, you in the potions lab, trying to make a potion but someone pulling you back before the whole cauldron explodes. Then, a random red haired girl pulling your hair and you accidentally ripping her hair off and then----

Overwhelmed, you drop the ring. You couldn't describe what happened to you right this moment. What happened? You couldn't remember what you saw but came to a conclusion that the ring was a magical artifact and you didn't want to hold it again.

As if on cue, you pulled out a metallic chain from your bag and cast the levitation charm,

"Wingardium Leviosa"

You looked at the ring, which now was not glowing but levitating. Carefully, you slid the chain through it and transfigured the ring into a pendant. That would be enough for now.

Now aware of the time, you quickly rushed out of the class and went to the potions lab.  You saw Fred and George sitting on a bench cracking jokes. You were going to join them until you overheard something.
