Distant memories
flashback- regulus’ last time at home age 15
its raining and its dark, the moon is full. his bags are packed and he’s trying to get some food ready for his journey, he doesn’t even know where he’s going. He just has to leave, like Sirius did all of them years ago, but Sirius knew where he was going, regulus doesn’t.
after a moment of thinking he opens his window and lifts his legs out. Just as he manages to get his body and his bags out, he hears his mother walking to his door, shit she sounds angry, “regulus.” Walburga exclaims in a stern tone.
“fuck fuck fuck. No no no no this can’t happen I need to leave” regulus mumbles under his breath at the start of a panic attack. He tried to get down quicker, but the roof is slippery, and he forgets to let go of the bag, the big heavy bag. He falls down with the bag, lets mention the fact his room is on the fourth floor of the black family manor.
he falls, he’s flipping in the air, suddenly the back wipes across his head.
and he hits the concrete floor. He can’t really move but he somehow gets his phone to call Evan rosier, his boyfriend.
“E-E-Evan, h-help” Reggie mumbles crying and hurting
“reg? what happened? Are you okay?” Evan says quickly sounding worried
“h-help it it it hurts” regulus manages to say these last words before he blacks out.
his head hits the floor with a thud, all Evan can hear is rain and slight breathing coming from reg.
“reg? regulus? Fuck. Where are you? Okay, okay love I’m on my way, if you can hear me, I love you. I love you so fucking much” Evan shouts trying to keep it together.
two minutes later Evan gets there in his car, he tracks Reggie with his phone until he finds him on the ground, bleeding.
“no no no my love no no. you’re okay you’re gonna be okay I have you “ Evan throws himself on the floor cradling regulus as he picks him up and gets him into the back seat of his car “I’m here now” he mumbles taking off his coat to put of the soaked bleeding regulus.
he quickly drives regulus to the hospital and gets him in
“help me! Fucking help me! My boyfriend…...i don’t know if he’s breathing” he cries out to anyone in the hospital.
the doctors and nurses quickly come and take regulus from Evan
“NO. you are not taking him without me.” Evan shouts whilst crying
“sir calm down w-“the doctors say before getting cut off by evan. “NO DON’T FUCKING TELL ME TO CALM DOWN. THAT’S MY BOYFRIEND. HES 15, HES FUCKING HURT AND WILL BE SCARED.” Evan shouts as loudly as he can
“okay sir you can come, just stay out the way” the doctors reluctantly say.
a few hours later Evan is watching regulus in his room sat in the corner covering himself in shitty hospital blankets.
suddenly he hears weeping , he looks over at regulus who’s just starting to awaken.
he rushes over “hey, hey love, you’re okay, breathe. I’m here sweet boy, I’m here.” Evan whispers as he leans down to kiss his boyfriend’s forehead.
regulus opens his eyes and looks around scared wanting to cry and run out, he looks at Evan and sobs, “okay baby, its okay. I’m here.” Evan tells him stroking regulus’ hair. “Evan?” Reggie mumbles.
“yeah darling?” He replies “I… I want to leave p...please” regulus whispers, sobs coming out between words. “I know, I know my sweet boy. Soon, I promise” Evan whispers softly.
“I promise.”
Then he blacks out, again.
