Prologue
Dumbledore frowned as he looked over at the hall of students and staff. Earlier that day he had been visited by the God Apollo with an urgent message. He had warned Dumbledore of dangers that would arrive in the upcoming years; wars which would kill many and leave others with severe injuries. Thankfully Apollo had come up with a solution; he conjured up a large pile of books which would be read to everyone in the hall and any visitors that would arrive.
Dumbledore had first frowned at the idea of visitors that were unknown to him but Apollo assured him that they would bring no harm to his students or staff and Apollo had never lied to him before so he agreed to it.
Any minute now the ministry, families of those in the room and the visitors Apollo had spoken about would arrive, so Dumbledore supposes he should warn everyone.
He stood up and went to his stand and cleared his throat into the microphone causing the hall to fall silent. He saw confused glances being shared but that wasn’t his main priority, he had to make sure that everyone knew what was going to happen so that there wasn’t widespread panic.
“Students and staff,’ he greeted them as he looked around at the many faces, a few more notable than others such as the infamous Marauders; James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew. “Earlier today I received some news that I need to share with you all.”
Nervous whispers rang across the hall.
“An old friend of mine has come to warn me of a future that is ridden with war and pain,” Dumble said. He disliked how upfront he was being but he had no choice. “We wish to avoid that.”
Dumbledore frowned as fear crept onto the younger years faces.
“We will be visited by quite a few people, don’t worry they will bring you no harm. They will appear with a set of books of the future which we will be reading about. I hope we have you patience and consideration during this time,” Dumbledore said. There was a pause then a knock at the doors.
Dumbledore waved his wand and the doors opened. The current minister of magic Harold Minchum walked in with Mrs and Mr Weasley behind them with five year old Bill and three year old Charlie. Behind them was Sirius Black’s parents Walburga and Orion Black and James Potter’s Parents Euphemia and Fleamont Potter.
“Is it true, Dumbledore? What the man said?” Minister Minchum asked as he looked up at the headmaster.
“Yes, I’m afraid it is,” Dumbledore confirmed. “If everyone could please find a seat.”
They did as asked as a bright light filled the room and a group of people appeared in the room. Dumbledore recognised the twelve Olympian Gods immediately but it was everyone else he wondered about.
A young girl stepped forward and cleared her throat. She had blonde hair with a streak of grey which was pulled back into a ponytail. She was wearing a CAMP HALF-BLOOD t-shirt and blue jeans with a NY Yankees cap in the pocket of it.
“Hi,” she said as she looked around the room. “We did a vote and decided I would do the introduction for our group. I’m Annabeth Chase, daughter of Athena, the Goddess of war, handicraft and wisdom. I’m eighteen years old and a demi-god.”
Annabeth turned to the people that Arrived with her before she began pointing at each of them and introducing them. She started with the Olympian gods and goddesses.
“First we have Zeus, the King of the Gods, God of sky,, lightning, thunder, law and order. Poseidon, God of the sea, earthquakes and horses. Hades, God of the Underworld. Hera, the Goddess of marriage , women and family. Demeter, Goddess of the harvest and agriculture. Athena, my mother, the Goddess of war, handicraft and wisdom. Apollo, the God of archery, music, dance, truth and prophecy, healing and diseases, the Sun and light, poetry and more. Artemis, the Goddess of the hunt, wild animals, vegetation, chastity and childbirth. Aphrodite, the Goddess of sexual love and beauty. Ares, the God of war. Hephaestus, the God of fire, volcanoes, forges, and blacksmithing. Hermes, the God of boundaries, roads, travellers, merchants, thieves, athletes, shepherds, commerce, speed, cunning, language, oratory, wit, and messages. Finally, Dionysus, the God of wine-making, orchards and fruit, vegetation, fertility, festivity, insanity, ritual madness, religious ecstasy, and theatre.”
Annabeth motioned for the gods and goddesses to sit down. They didn’t seem to like being bossed around but even they couldn’t deny that they wanted the wars to be prevented.
Annabeth then moved on to the next group which were all, minus three, wearing the same t-shirts as her. She did the same as she did with the gods and pointed to each one, introducing them.
“First, we have Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon and Sally Jackson. Sally Jackson, a mortal, or muggle as you would call her. Clarisse La Rue, daughter of Ares. Thalia Grace, daughter of Zeus, lieutenant of Artemis. . Will Solace, son of Apollo. Nebula Ray, daughter of Dionysus. Piper Mclean, daughter of Aphrodite. Leo Valdez, son of Hephaestus and Nico Di Angelo, son of Hades.”
They all sat down where available as Annabeth moved on. The next group was a few kids wearing CAMP JUPITER t-shirts.
“First we have Reyna Ramírez-Arellano, daughter of the Roman Goddess Bellona; the Goddess of war. Jason Grace, son of Jupiter, the Roman counterpart to Zeus. Hazel Levesque, daughter of Pluto, the Roman counterpart of Hades. Nova Hughes, daughter of Nox, Goddess of the night and Frank Zhang, son of Mars, the Roman counterpart of Ares and Legacy of Poseidon.”
They sat down and Annabeth moved on once again, but this was the last group.
“Ron and Ginny Weasley, children of Molly and Arthur Weasley; pureblood wizard and witch. Draco Malfoy, son of Lucious Malfoy and Narcissa Malfoy; pureblood wizard. Luna Lovegood, daughter of Pandora Lovegood and Xenophilius Lovegood; pureblood witch. Harry Potter, son of James Potter and Lily Evans-”
“YESSSSS!” James screamed as he shot up. “WE HAVE A CHILD TOGETHER IN THE FUTURE LILY! I KNEW YOU LOVED ME!”
Lily was blushing furiously and refused to look anyone in the eye. She couldn’t believe that she dated that toerag in the future and had a child with him.
Annabeth carried on as though she hadn’t been interrupted which made James sit down.
“Harry is a half-blood wizard. Neville Longbottom, son of Alice and Frank Longbottom; pureblood wizard. Elizabeth James, daughter of Sarah and William James; Half-blood witch. Hermione Granger, daughter of Mr and Mrs Granger; a Muggleborn witch. And finally, Astria Weasley-Black, daughter of Sirius Black, adoptive daughter of Molly and Arthur Weasley; Half-blood witch and demigod which makes her a Heretic. Unknown Godly parent.”
Sirius sat in shock. He had a daughter in the future, and something happened for her to have to be adopted by another family. He couldn’t have been that bad of a father could he.
Annabeth didn’t give him a chance to think about it as she motioned for the others to sit down as books appeared in front of her. Sirius must counted around fifteen but he felt like there was more than that. Annabeth picked one up and read the cover; Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
“The books will read themselves so no has to worry,” Annabeth said. “are there any questions?” she looked around and when no one asked anything she tapped the book causing it to open and she hurried to sit down next to Astria as the book began talking.
