Dawn
Techno grunted as he was kicked in the side by someone thrashing around in the nest, he propped himself up on his elbow to see who it was only to furrow his eyebrows in concern when he saw that it was Dawn who was thrashing around as she pleaded to some invisible foe to stop hurting her.
Briar shot up as she was also kicked and shared a concerned look with Techno as she noticed Dawn’s clear distress, the piglin hybrid simply grunted as he shuffled closer to the distressed Omega while completely ignoring everyone else as Dawn’s thrashing and pleading woke them up as well.
“Dawn you need to wake up, it’s just a nightmare it can’t hurt you” He said sternly but not unkindly as he shook the blonde shoulders and Dawn shot up with a fearful gasp as her eyes moved around unseeingly while holding out her arms trying to latch onto something, Theo who was sitting the closest shuffled forward and allowed Dawn to cling to him as she tried to calm down.
“Dawn?” Ezran mumbled worriedly as he shuffled closer so that Dawn could latch onto him as well, Callum and Ezekiel following suit while the others shuffled a little closer to try and provide some kind of comfort.
“What happened?” Julian asked worriedly and Dawn took in a shaky breath as she buried her face into Theo’s hair and breathed in the pup's soothing honey scent to try and relax her nerves.
“Memories, horrible horrible memories” She muttered bitterly as she cuddled her pups closer as she felt a deep-seated relief over not having to be alone right now.
“Do you want to talk about it?” Delia asked softly as she placed a gentle hand on her shoulder and Dawn hesitated slightly as she glanced between everyone present, this was her pack these people were family she could trust them.
“My parents were awful people even before I presented as an Omega” She began to explain as she reached up to absentmindedly run her fingers through Callum’s hair who couldn’t help but to pur at the contact.
“My admin blood comes from my mother's side of the family but she was not an admin just as no one in my family had been for centuries, everyone had assumed that the Gods had forsaken them and stolen their god-given right to rule and they were almost right” She explained softly and others shared curious glances at this, not much was known about how admin powers were passed down so this was kinda fascinating.
“My brother Ambroz isn’t technically my brother I just call him that because he’s always treated me like his sister but in truth, he was the deity who initially granted my family their admin powers, but at some point in history my ancestors grew greedy and cruel so he locked the powers away until I was born” She continued to explain and everyone blinked a little in surprise.
“You have a god for a brother?” Julian questioned baffled and Dawn giggled a little bit as she nodded.
“Yeah he’s really protective of me” She said fondly and the others snorted in amusement, only Dawn would be able to wrap a god around her finger like it was no big deal.
“I don’t exactly know why I was able to manifest the admin powers but without them, I don’t think I’d be alive right now, though there was a point in my life where I hated my abilities” She remarked softly and Ezekiel glanced up at her with a curious/worried look on his face which was mirrored by everyone else in the room.
“How come?” He asked softly and a small sad smile appeared on Dawn’s face.
“Despite not having admin powers my mother was immediately able to tell that I did, something about my aura or whatever, it didn’t help that I was an early bloomer and began teleporting and summoning blocks at an early age. Which my parents wasted no time in exploiting” She explained tiredly and dark looks appeared on the older Alpha’s and Omega’s faces while the pups cuddled even closer to her.
“Overusing my powers causes me a lot of pain so I spent a great deal of my childhood in agony because of them and things only got worse after I presented as an Omega” She remarked almost offhandedly as she instinctively held her pups closer.
“They were traditionalists and the mere idea of having an Omega daughter who wouldn’t submit to being an endless baby maker just wouldn’t do, even if she was an admin so I tried so hard to hide it, that’s why I created my mask to keep me safe but obviously it didn’t last long” She said tiredly as she half-heartedly gestured with her chin over towards her desk where her mask was sitting.
“If it weren’t for Ambroz and my own natural healing abilities as an admin I would not be here today” She finally said which was what finally broke the damn for Theo as he broke down crying and the others joined the pups in hugging the Omega, even the ever stoic Techno joined in as a protective rage burned inside of him and the voices screamed for blood.
“Whatever became of them?” He grunted and a small but dangerous smile appeared on Dawn’s face.
“They're dead, you do not hurt a god's chosen one without facing consequences” She stated in an almost casual tone of voice which earned her pleased purs and rumbles from the rest of her pack.
“Good” Briar stated seriously and Dawn’s smile widened slightly before it faded back into a frown.
“I just wish the nightmares were as easy to get rid of” She muttered almost bitterly.
“We’ll help you chase them away” Callum announced stubbornly and the others nodded passionately in agreement earning them a grateful smile from the admin.
“Thank you” She mumbled softly as she fully embraced the warmth of her pack as the final jitters from her nightmare finally eased from her body.
None of them noticed the eavesdropper as he ducked away from the window with tears streaming down his face, he would talk with Dawn tomorrow that was a promise that he refused to break.
