Ezekiel
Ezekiel yawned sleepily as he slipped out of the shower his nose twitching as he smelled something really tasty.
“What are you making?” He asked as he leaned on the door frame leading into the kitchen and watched Dawn add a couple of spices to a pot.
“Rabbit stew” She remarked as she turned to face him and tilted her head thoughtfully.
“I left a change of clothes in the bedroom if you would like to wear something more comfortable and clean” She said and Ezekiel glanced down at himself before nodding in agreement.
“Okay” He said simply before slipping into Dawn’s bedroom, he saw the clothes on the desk and immediately picked them up only for his eyes to trail away when he noticed a nest instead of a bed in the centre of the room.
He tilted his head curiously as he shuffled closer, why did Dawn have a nest? He sniffed at the nest and picked up a couple of different scents, the most prominent being lavender but he could also pick up fresh grass, honey, berries and melon. He inched into the nest and picked up one of the blankets so that he could be wrapped up in the lavender scent.
“You know it's rather rude to enter a nest without permission” Dawn remarked from the doorway and Ezekiel stiffened up as he dropped the blanket
“I’m so sorry I don’t know what came over me” He said anxiously as he turned to face Dawn only for his eyes to widen when he saw that Dawn wasn’t wearing her mask allowing the golden ring around her pupils to be on full display.
“Don’t apologize, you're just a pup, I’m glad my nest feels safe for you, but just remember for when your older an Omega would likely claw your eyes out if you entered their nest without permission” She remarked softly as she took a seat next to the young Alpha who was blinking at her in shock.
“You're an Omega?” He questioned in surprise and Dawn hummed in agreement as she wrapped an arm around him so that she could pull him closer.
“It’s not something I broadcast or really tell anyone, in fact, it's easier if people believe I’m an Alpha or a Beta so don’t go telling anyone alright?” She requested and Ezekiel nodded as he leaned a little bit more into Dawn’s side.
“Does anyone else know?” He asked and Dawn hummed as she reached up to run her fingers through Ezekiel's hair.
“A few, some I’ve told and some who have discovered it by accident” She remarked and Ezekiel nodded a little bit in understanding, which explained the other scents in the nest.
“Who knows?” He asked curiously and Dawn hummed once again as she tilted her head back.
“Julian, Callum, Ezran, Theo and now you” She listed as she gave the young Alpha a soft smile who had a thoughtful look on his face.
“Why did you tell me?” He asked softly and Dawn blinked at him in confusion.
“Because you're my pup” She said simply earning a surprised gasp from Ezekiel who jerked his head up to look at her with wide eyes.
“Really?” He asked in poorly concealed hope and Dawn’s expression softened as she nuzzled him gently.
“You’ve always been my pup Zeke, I know people have a tendency to overlook you but I never will” She promised softly and a few tears slipped down Ezekiel’s face as he nuzzled the Omega happily.
“Thank you Dawn” He mumbled softly and Dawn cooed as she pulled him into a hug.
“I also know you're very headstrong and I won’t be able to convince you to stay out of the war, I’ve already failed in convincing the other pups, but just know I’ll fight by your side” She said softly and Ezekiel blinked a little in surprise.
“I thought you wanted to stay neutral?” He questioned and Dawn snorted in amusement.
“There doesn’t seem to be much point in that anymore” She remarked and Ezekiel snorted in agreement/amusement.
“I have a meeting with Briar tomorrow but after that, if you want we can have a cuddle pile with the other pups and maybe Julian as well if he’s not busy” She offered and Ezekiel smiled as he nodded.
“I’d like that” He said softly as he nuzzled Dawn, it had been a very long time since he was able to spend time with anyone his own age.
“Good” Dawn mumbled simply as she nuzzled her pup happily.
